( a short comedy )

It all started the day my old neigbhours packed
out of our compound, i was sad though but not
just that i miss them sha. I miss them cause
they were the fun type and i didn't miss them
because they were yorubas and their food was
always war to finish it. But sha i sad again cause
i no get where to see free food chop again,
after all it is said that half bread is better than
none. Even if the pepper hot pass hell fire, i for
manage am like that instead of to die with
hunger.
Shai na so i embark on fasting and prayer,
asking God to provide a new neigbhour and
finally God did it. Barely two weeks after, a new
family moved in. Well , i was happy and even
happier when i learnt that them from Calabar,
trust me. Calabar women sabi cook well well
(licks mouth) . And to top up my joy, they were
jovial.
I embarked on a trip to Andoni to visit my
friend, after spending some days there i return
back to PH. My friend give me dry fish (very big
one) , so ehen i reach house i cut the fish into
two come send one half to my new neigbhour.
Few hours later nai her son bring me better
adikang ikong soup with better fufu, shei na so i
salivate. But then come oh, this woman has
never given me food since she came to this
compound and neither have i given her any
food stuff since she came.
Nai my heart start to beat faster, especially
when i come remember say this woman from
etim-ekpo. I start to dey sweat like xmas goat,
to confirm my fears , the woman pikin just sit
down for verander dey watch me with one eye.
And i nobi the type wey dey waste people food.
This woman think say i poison fish give her thats
why she give me soup self and who even know
if she no poison the soup. So to confirm, i call
the pikin ask am if e don chop and e say "no ",
as a sharp guy i come decode am the meaning.
The woman want my i chop first to see if i go
die before her family go chop. But come oh,
wetin come concern fish with soup?
Nai i tell the pikin to join me chop so that the
poison go kill the both of us. Nobi only me
calabar woman go kill.
