Episode 2 . Good evening" She greeted, flashing out a charming smile.. Same to you dear" I stammered.. . So sorry for the disturbance, it's just that my roommate is not around and I found it hard to on my Generator.. Please can you be of a help to me..She pleaded.. . No problem with that, I agreed without a second thought.. . Then followed her quietly to her room.. . Her room was brightened with the help of a rechargeable lantern which was kept on top of a blue plastic table standing on one corner of the room...The room was perfectly arranged with a 22inches flat screen LG television neatly hanged on the wall and a DH6531T 5.1 LG DVD Home theater kept under the TV, with the four tall speakers well arranged beside it. . The painting marched very well with the colour of her curtain.. . She took me to her kitchen where a small Tiger Generator, popularly known as "I pass my neighbour" is kept on a small wooden table,well designed for Gen. . I punched on the red plastic switch on the Gen,then drew the choke back to normal with the fuel tap properly opened.. . I drew the Gen with a great force but was disappointed when the Gen didn't show any sign of igniting.. I. drew and drew still no improvement.. . "I think the Gen is faulty, she threw in.. . "Maybe,i hungrily replied. . Then I weakly made a move to my room" be right back,was all I could utter.. . On getting to my room,i went straight to where I used to keep my gen tools..I picked up my plug spanner and headed back to her room.. . I quickly loosed the gen plug,cleaned the head that was covered with black condemned oil with fuel,then dried with a dirty towel I saw hanging on one corner of the kitchen. I inserted the plug back and tightened it with the spanner.. With the small strength left in me,i drew the gen again and thankfully it responded.. . I shrugged in relief,looked at her and saw the happiness covered in her face.. . She smiled and thanked me. . I weakly replied with a nod before heading to my room.. Pangs of hunger was busy gnawing at the walls of my tommy.. I checked my phone and the time was 10:18pm.. . Was so confused on what to eat that very moment,because I was very weak and tired to think of cooking.. . I was still busy with my thought when I heard a gentle knock on my door... . Episode 3 . I slowly went to unlock my door.. . Who? I queried . Please open,its me. I heard Stephanie respond... . I quickly unbolted my door...She gave out an angelic smile,with the light of her rechargeable lantern flashing on her face.. . My mind almost blew off,on seeing her well arranged white teeth with a seducing red lips guiding it..Her dark coloured skin marched perfectly well with the nature of her eyes and teeth,with a well pointed nose,standing elegantly at the middle of her Oval face.. . What a beauty,i nearly said before she broke the silence. I cooked yam and Egg sauce, mind joining me in my room... . Erm... Erm..I stammered. . Well I don't need an answer from you because you will try to object it..Just go in there,have your bath and come.. Am waiting in my room.. She voiced out before heading to her room.. . I was overwhelmed with happiness but couldn't figure out why I didn't protest in joining her in her room.. Was it because of the hunger or because I wished to spend more time with her? I think I am in love I jokingly said before heading to the bathroom.. . I had a quick bath with the help of my phone light.. Dressed up on my night wear.. . Kpom kpom, I slowly knocked on her door before hearing a Voice like Beyonce's asking me to come in.. . I walked in to her room, unknowing what to say before she ordered me to sit on her well arranged mattress.. Make your self comfortable she said before heading to her kitchen.. . I focused my gaze on the Korean movie she was watching.. After some minutes,she came out with a plate of yam well garnished with egg sauce and a fork placed on one side of the plate.. . She dropped it in my front with a satchet of water on another plate before heading to get hers.. . Stephanie came out with her own food and sat beside me.. The food was tasty and with the help of hunger, i crushed it like a hungry lion.. . After some minutes of eating,we dragged on who to keep the plates before she finally gave up.. I settled the plates on the sink in her kitchen,went back to the room well fed up.. . I thanked her before settling down on her mattress, then returned my gaze back to the Korean movie.. After some minutes of silence, I heard Stephanie chip in an unexpected question.. . To be continued..

Henry,i shamefully said . Ok, I am stephanie.. . That was how I got to know her name.. . So which department are you? I finally forced myself to ask her a single question. . "I am in Biochemistry department, 100level . "Ok,i am In Electrical/Electronics Engineering department, 300level.. . "Wow! do you know Val?? she curiously asked. . "The 400level Val? I innocently asked . "Yeah,the 400level Val.. . "Yes, I know him why do you ask?,i queried . Nothing dear,just that he is in the same department with you so I thought you would know him, she explained,lowering her face like some that is hiding something.. . Val was a notorious cultist,popularly known in school because of his constant involvement with the school anti cult(mpiawazu).. . I wondered why she could ask me of someone like that,but I had no courage to question her further.. . The room was like a grave yard, only the sound coming from the movie was heard.. . Which state are you from and what's your parents occupation? . I am from Anambra state. My Dad is a retired Secondary school principal and my mum also retired as a primary school head mistress.. . You are the last born right?She queried . Yeah, I am the last born in a family of three boys and two girls..How did you know?? . You behave like one..she said with a charming smile.. What of you? I forced out another question Well, I am the first and last daughter in a family of a boy and a girl,also the first issue..From Anambra state too.. But base in Lagos state with my mum. . My dad died when I was still in secondary school..so I have been living with the care of my mother, Who has been keeping the family moving with the small money she earns in her super market business.. . I was emotionally touched,but I never showed it to avoid opening an already healed wound.. . After listening to her story,I became a little bit free with her.. We chatted and discussed about our departments,the wicked and kind lecturers,cracked some jokes and laughed to our satisfaction.. . Thought of sleeping never came to our minds till her Gen forced us to bed.. . The sound of the gen changed, . is like fuel has finish, she pointed out. . "I think so, let me check. . I went to the kitchen where the gen was kept,i opened the fuel thank, truly the fuel tank was empty.. . I suggested she on her rechargeable lantern before offing the gen,which she hurriedly did.. . I got to go now since the gen has off and thanks a lot for the food.. I really enjoyed it.. . You are welcome,Good night, she said after I have unlocked my door.. . Good night, I ditched back before locking my door.. . I fell on my bed, happy and satisfied.. . I flashed back the memories of the few hours I spent together with her.. Episode 5 . I woke up very late in the morning..Checked my phone,it was 10.45am. I rushed to the bathroom,brushed my teeth. Then went to my wardrobe and pick the dirty cloths i wore to school during the week.. . I packed them inside the bucket and went downstairs to wash.. . On getting to the tap,I was overjoyed when I saw stephanie washing too.. . "Good morning Steph,i greeted.. . She raised her head up in a way of confirming where the greeting was coming from.. . Oh!Henry, Good morning,How was your night.. . "Was excellent and yours? . Was awesome, seems like you are just waking up,she asked lightening out a tantalizing smile. . Yeah!,Not too long ago.. . Are you washing I preposterously asked.. . No! am cooking, she jokingly replied in a mocking manner.. .. We ended up laughing.. . I fetched water from the tap and went to sit with on one of the blocks arranged by the lodge members for sitting down sake.. . We didn't talk much, just concentrated on our cloths because the sun was fast rising.. . After some hours of washing,we went to our different rooms to complete the saturday work. I washed my. toilet and bathroom,swept my room and dusted the necessary things.. . When I was done with my work,i checked the time and it was 1.48pm.I then, had my bath.. . I was preternaturally hungry..I concluded on cooking jellof rice,because that was the only food I knew how to cook.. . Unfortunately for me or should I say fortunately for me, my groundnut oil was not with me,i borrowed it out to my lodge and departmental friend Emeka. . I hungrily unbolted my door to go and collect the groundnut oil.. . That same moment,Steph was also opening her door.. . Are you going out? she curiously asked.. . Nope! I thought I heard a knock on my door,so I decided to check.. . Okay!, have you eaten she asked not really expecting an answer from me.. . I....I... I guess you haven't she interrupted.. Join me in my room,i cooked spag(Spagetti) she explained... . Ok,was all I could utter that moment.. . I hurriedly locked my door to join her.. . She dished out the spag,which we ate quietly.. . After the food,nothing eventful happened..we just cracked jokes and played ludo game in her room.. . When it was evening,we went together to buy fuel from a blackmarket in front of our lodge..I also bought four eggs which I used in preparing the noodles we ate that night.. . We didn't spend much time together because the next day was sunday..So around 10.00pm,she left my room to go and sleep.. . Though I wasn't a church type, I forced myself to also sleep in time in other to wake up in time to follow her to church. . To be continued...

Episode 6 . I woke up as early as 6.00am.. I brushed and had my bath.. Then dressed on my white Turkey shirt,with a well penciled black Jean Trouser,accompanied with a black designers Hermer shoe and a Givenchy watch and Gold necklace on my neck and wrist.. I was good to go when I heard Stephanie's door being locked.. . I quickly unlocked my door, what I saw almost robbed me my breath.. . She was looking heavenly beautiful on a simple but elegant Red gown blazing out her nice fitted hip with a well curved back side.. Was looking extra tall on her high hill sandal and Gold necklace,earrings and bracelet adorned her neck,ears and wrists respectively.. With a small make up which made her even more beautiful.. . I felt like hugging her that moment but had no courage to.. . You look so beautiful,i finally said . Thanks dear and you are not looking bad too,she replied,giving out a calm smile.. . After few hours in church,we came back very hungry. We devoured the gala and fanta we bought on our way home without changing our cloths..We also bought meat and other ingredients needed in cooking rice and stew.. . After that,i went to my room to undress..I wasted no time in doing that,though I gave her some time to dress up too before joining her in her room. . I helped out in the cooking, cut and grinned the onions and tomatoes..We finished the cooking around 2pm. Then I remembered I had a football match to watch by 4pm.I was a football fanatic then and the club I support (CHELSEA FC) was playing against a strong opponent (MANCHESTER UNITED) and Is not a match I can dare to miss. . After we finished eating, I pleaded with her to accompany me to the viewing center,which she blatantly refused on my first try. I plead and plead, even promised to buy her heaven and earth if she follow me . She later succumbed to my plea. . When it was 3.45pm,we left for the match. . Then the worst happened.. . Episode 7 . On getting to the stair, we barged in on Stephanie's roommate. . "Oh! what a bad day, I slightly heard Stephanie murmur . Who on seeing us, squeezed her face and gave me an unpleasant look before rushing to hug Stephanie.. . "Oh! sweetheart,i really missed you alot. . "I missed you too love. . I heard the two,whisper to each other.. . Her roommate unloosed herself from her,before giving her a passionate kiss that I believed lasted for more than 10seconds.. . I almost collapsed on seeing them perform such an ungodly act . There were all kinds of thoughts running through my mind that moment.. . "Its Stephanie a lesbian or is this kiss just a mere greeting. I was lost.. I failed to notice when they varnished,because I had a lot running in my mind.. . When I got myself back,i found out that I was the only one left..I checked the time on my phone,it said 4.15pm.. . With full speed,i dashed out from the lodge to the viewing center which was just a stone throw from the lodge..I seriously can't see myself missing that match. . When I got there, I felt a bit bad because the whole seats has been occupied and that means I will stand till the match ends.. . Throughout my stay in the viewing center,i found it hard to concentrate on the ongoing match.. . Memories of what transpired between Steph and her roommate kept flocking on my mind.My attention was called back in several occasion by shouts from desperate fans. This kept on happening till chelsea broke the deadlock in the 78mins through a Frank Lampard strike .. That was the only moment I vividly remembered, especially the commentators comments on the goal,which goes this way... . "Lampaaarrrdd!!!, Oh!! that is magnificent.. What a sensational goal.. Stamford Bridge rises to its feet to acclaim a moment of genius from the English Mid fielder. Its Chelsea 1 Man united Nil.It's another fabulous Lampard goal . . I Jumped and jumped,celebrating with my fellow Chelsea fans,though I didn't see the goal till when it was replayed because almost everybody jumped on their fits in celebration of the goal.. . 90minutes played, Chelsea 1 Man united 0,i heard the commentator say. . I was overjoyed that the match was coming to an end and the score in our favour. . After 4 dramatical minutes additional time,the ref blew the final whistle.. Some man united fans were busy criticizing their coach and players while some happy Chelsea fans. were busy composing and releasing mocking songs for them. . I left the viewing center,still opposing the fact that Stephanie might be a lesbian because that was the last thing I never wish to believe.. My love for her have developed a lot and I can't bear not to have her as my girl friend,though I don't know if I would ever have the courage to tell her that.. . On getting to my lodge,i rushed to Emeka's room to seek some advice because he is a professional in any thing concerning girls.. . To be continued...

Emeka kept mute for more than 20 seconds,before coming up with an explanation,that I strongly believed the one that favoured my doubt. . The more I thought of it,the more confuse I became. I took my bucket and cloths downstairs to wash. . I washed sluggishly,hoping to see Steph,which never happened. I couldn't wait for monday to reach,so that I will pour out everything to him and wait for his own thought. . Episode 14 . Tuesday, wednesday,and Thursday came and passed,as usual I never set my eyes on Steph. Though I can say it was my fault this time,I never had time for myself. Was very occupied with lot of assignments and Various quiz from different lecturers on the grounds that our first semester exam was fast approaching. . Finally friday came,the long awaited day,the day that marked the beginning of my fight for love, the day I dare not to forget easily. Thankfully,it was not as stressful as other days, we had just two lectures and no new assignment or quiz was given.I never dared to inform Emeka about the birthday invitation,because I believed he would surely go against it and that, I never wanted to happen. . On my way back to the lodge,as a guy that has never been into any sort of relationship before,i founded it hard to get an idea of the type of present to purchase. I stopped at a Grocery,wasted almost thirty minutes figuring out the best birthday present for her, inexorably I ended up with a dozen summer roses. I left the grocery,. I prayed and hoped to meet her in the lodge,with believe of her appreciating the gift. Delightedly she was around., though different female shoes scattered infront of her door but that never perturbed me,all that was running in my head then,was to present the gift to her and also wish her a Happy birthday. I knocked on her door,waiting vigorously for the worst to happen then I heard the sound of the door being unbolted,there stood Jenny blazing out an unappealing look and that also never perturbed me. because I already knew that's how it would be. She made way for me to enter on seeing a present on my hand.i walked majestically into the room but almost missed my step on seeing unknown two beautiful and attractive girls relaxing on her foam. I shyly waved a hand of greeting to them,which I never cared to know if they responded to. I turned to face Steph,who was sitting on her blue plastic chair. She smiled and focused her gaze on me,waiting to hear what I got to say. . I was in a very hot soup that moment,I founded it very hard to say anything because of the two unknown girls and Jenny. "But since I made it to this extent, i see no reason going back,i thought to myself. . "I am so sorry Steph, for wishing you a happy birthday so late. I could have done that earlier than now, but due to school activities and the stress it carries, I had to leave very early for school and I believed you might still be sleeping then,so I didn't want to disturb your sleep. . She never cared about her roommate nor the two other girls,which i neither did too. We glued together for more than 30seconds before she freed herself from me. "I got to be going to my room now,i voiced out,after we both have separated from each other. . Ok dear,hope you will still attend the party? . Yes,i will, but you didn't tell me the exact time the party is starting. . Oh! I forgot, it's by 08:00pm till mama calls. . Ok,till then,i voiced out before dashing out from the room. I avoided my eyes getting in contact with jenny and the other two unknown girls as I slowly walked out from the room. . I did what I never believed I could be able to do,Didn't really knew what gave me the audacity to stand in front of her roommate and friends to present the gift to her. So unlike me, I guess the power of love is working on me now. I thought to myself before resting my head small because of the awaiting busy night,when the unexpected might happen. ------------------------------------------ I woke up around 7.30pm and the fixed time for the party was 08:00pm. I entered the bathroom, freshened up and then dressed up on a well starched and ironed turkey shirt and a stone skinny fit stretch Chinos trouser, coupled with a pair of black Draxler Bow Moccs by Tim Velluto shoe. I went and stood infront of the mirror to have a full glance of myself when I was done dressing. I then checked my phone and the time was 8 o'clock pm on the dot. I didn't want to be among the first to attend the party so I decided to waste a little more time. Some part of me went against me attending the party while the other part stood with me to attend the party. Was a little bit scared, I needed to let someone know where I was heading to, incase anything unusal happens to me. I regretted ever not letting Emmy know about all this. I dialled. his number immediately,but was disappointed when I heard that his phone was off and he informed me during the mid week that he would travel today. . I finally gave up all the ill thought and placed all my trust on Stephanie believing that she won't let anything happen to me since she was the one that invited me. . When it was 8.45pm,i left for the party. . To be continued.

Episode 15 . I hopped down from the bike that drove me to the garden. The sound of Limpopo song, sang by Kcee which I believed was boozing out from a heavy speaker covered every atom of silence in the vicinity. . I settled the bike man and then walked ceremoniously to the gate that impelled to the entrance of the garden, there stood two hefty dudes, with their faces looking so mean and horrifying blocking the gate. . "Good evening guys, please I am here for the ongoing party.I explained,when I got closer to them. . The two guys looked at each other before one of them made few steps closer to me with a small sized Louis Vutton bag hanging on his neck,which with no doubt I believed some deadly materials was stored inside. He took. more steps closer, with a weird looking face and his left hand strictly installed inside the small bag. I forced two few steps backward in fear,on seeing the manner in which he was approaching me. He paused that moment, looked back to the other guy who was still standing at the gate, they nodded their heads in a way of approving to something immediately their two eyes came in contact. . I was swimming in fear on watching them display some unpleasant gestures which I never allowed to tamper with my thinking. I believed that moment that I was being examined whether I am a kush man or a jew. Thought of taking to my heels was all I could think of but i indomitably went against that. was still killing myself with unhelping thoughts,when the one closer to me finally questioned. . "Who invite you come here? he questioned with a mean pidgin english. . Please sir, i.. I was invited by the celebrant. I stammered in fear. . And who come be the celebrant? the other guy at the gate threw in coming forward with a small table knife he brought out from his back pocket. . I could hear my heart beat that moment, my breath was lost, I couldn't even answer his question, strong feeling of fear over shadowed the strong part of me, was just standing like a goat ready to be slaughtered. . The weird and dangerous looking dude was still busy approaching me with the table knife. I said all the prayers I Knew that very moment in my mind, promised God all sort of things even the most righteous man on earth can't even keep. Thankfully God answered my prayer,though I can't tell if he expected me to keep all those promises, but I believe he understands. . The guys was just two or three steps away from me when a young lady, dressed on a red gown which was four to five inches above her knee with a co-operate red high heel shoe on her foot was marching out from the gate. . The guy paused and turned to see who that was,with my eyes also focused on the gate to know who that was too. Lo and behold was Stephanie standing just two steps away from the gate, supporting a phone on her ear with her left hand, which signals that she was forced out due to the loud sound of music playing inside the garden,which I believed made it hard for to hear what the person she was discussing with on phone was saying. . My happiness grew a tap root immediately,all my fears melted like ice on seeing her. Atleast she won't allow anything to happen to me even if they went against me entering because am not one of their members. She felt so happy too immediately she saw me. she hurriedly. ended the call she was answering and came forward to hug me. . Oh! Henry,i thought you won't come again,have waited and waited,was about given up on your coming. . "I am so sorry for coming late dear,please can we just go inside now. . She was a bit surprised on my sudden request to go inside at first,before she turned to see the wicked look the two guys was flashing on us. The way. she held me tight on the hand shows she understood the reason for my request and her action also made me to understand the worst is yet to happen. . To be continued.

Episode 16 . Steph dragged me quietly into the Garden, without paying attention to the ugly looking guys staring at us. . I calmly walked in with her, all eyes was on us when we got to the spot where the party was going on.The garden was well arranged, Each table was surrounded with four chairs and the birthday cake standing alone on a table infront of where the guests sat. The DJ on his spot, was busy releasing better Jamz,which helped in spawning the party into a more lively one. . It wasn't quite a big party like she said earlier, but enough number of people was present. Girls was much more than boys. . She ushered me into an empty table before going to join her friends. I settled down comfortably on one of the chairs surrounding the empty table she ushered me into. Then decided to feel the beauty of the garden.I threw my gaze from one table to another before my gaze fell on one table surrounded by Four guys,and among the four guys was Val. I was baffled on seeing them starring at me vigorously. . I became very uncomfortable on seeing that, just that moment one of the guys standing on the gate went straight to their table and whisper what only him, Val and God knows.i used the side of my eyes to look at them with my head bent on the table I was sitting. . When the guy left, Val and the other three guys,sitting together with him brought their heads together in a manner of discussing something that cannot be publicized.When he was done,they all threw their gaze back at me before settling back to their chairs. . I felt like running away from the Garden that moment, was so scared, I looked at where Steph was sitting, She was busy chatting and laughing with her friends. OMG! why am I here? why did I took so much risk coming here? what will be my fate if anything happens to me?I should have told Emeka. Oh! Emmy where are you? Was still busy with my thought, when I felt someone tap me on the shoulder. Instantaneously Goose bumps secured all the dots in my skin.Even with the coldness of the garden, I felt a chickenhearted sweat dripping from my forehead down to my mouth. I couldn't turn my head to know who was that,because I was so scared of seeing something that will make me feel the hotness of hell on earth. . To be continued.

Episode 17 . Please sir, what would you like to take, I heard a female voice question. . Just then all my fears faded away, my heart was normal again, all the goose bumps that took over every single whole on my skin varnished away. I was back to normal once again. . "Nothing for now, just help me call the celebrant, I pleaded with her, when I noticed she was one of the workers in the garden. . In few minutes, Steph joined me in my table. . "you sent for me dear, Hope all is well? . "I don't think so, am scared. Want to be going. . "What happened? why are you scared? did anybody threaten you? she poured out, suffocating me the more with her questions.. . Nobody threatened me,but I don't think I belong here.my impression tells me that some people are not happy to see me here. . "Some people? who are the some people? Are you referring to Jenny my roommate? Oh! please come off it, She can't do any thing to you, she is just jealous and nothing more. She explained. . "Am not referring to your room mate. . "Who then are you referring to? she curiously asked. . I was about to explain all that I have noticed since I walked in to the garden with her when a girl came to our table and whispered into her ear. Even though deep inside me I was very scared, but due to the manner in which she stood up and pleaded vehemently with me to lend her some minutes made me not to object. . After few minutes of waiting, the same girl that whispered to Steph appeared on my table again and requested I follow her that Steph is waiting for me outside the gate. . I sensed danger on hearing that but what can I do? I stood up and followed her though I never allowed her to be at my back because women are the most dangerous creature on earth. You can never predict their next move. . When we got to the gate,there was no single soul standing there. I got more scared. I adjusted my step,few steps backward. What was on my mind then was to run back to the garden . . "I hope you don't expect her to be standing here waiting for you, the girl voiced out when she sensed the game I was about to play.Don't be scared and follow me if you want to see her. . I comported myself once again and followed her, but I was more at alert this time. Looking left and right, front and back in other to avoid witnessing an unusual scenario. . We walked few distance away from the garden, everywhere was very dark. Assuming I decided to take to my heels then,i believe the darkness would have helped me a lot to escape. But i never thought of that then,fear overcrowded my sense of thinking. . Finally we got to the place where she said Steph was waiting for me. She ordered I lead the way which I blatantly went against. She later complied and led me into an uncompleted building. some part of the building was perfectly cemented including the room she led into.The room was very dark but that didn't disrupt me from noticing people's presence there. . Just then I regained myself, it just happened to me like a movie,like I was controlled by some unnatural power. Can't just imagine how I sheepshly followed the girl into an uncompleted building. what was i thinking? . I suffered my eyes trying to notice if I could recognise any figure there. I stood at the center of the room for more than 10mins before I started seeing new figures walking into the room. Each of the figures drop things I guessed was dry woods. Surely it was when like five different figures did the same thing. After like five minutes,the room was lightened up with the help of the dry woods they dropped. . What I saw just then got me shivering, goose bumps played it's normal role,covering every single dot in my skin. The speed of my heart beat increased its tempo. . To be continued. . Episode 18 . Oh! no! what have I landed myself into? I cried on seeing Steph standing in between Val and her roommate. Every single soul in the room, both male and female was on a Black Beret entangled with a ***** rope except Steph and I. . I stood at the center of the room and was surrounded like a thief who was caught in the act and was about to be stoned to death. . I stood there for like extra 10 minutes with the heat from the fire heating me up like some one that was threw inside an Oven, my shirt was soaked in sweat. No part of my body moved nor shake. Even my eyes refused to brink with the fear of being harmed once It brinks. Before one of Val's guys ordered me to knee before them,which I hurriedly did to avoid receiving a phone call(slap) from any of them. . Another guy walked into the room with a bag. He went straight to where Val was standing and handed him over the bag. Val dipped his hand inside the Bag and brought out two black beret with two ropes attached to it. . I am a man and I cannot sit back and watch my fellow man decide my fate for me. I hAve to fight for myself even though they out numbered me but that won't stop me from giving them a hard time. After all one the options given to me includes death, even if I am going to die,i won't die a coward. . Three minutes has already gone,so what's your decision?Val buzzed out. . I raised my head which was bent over in thinking up, modified my gaze from one person to another,finally came to the spot where Steph was standing, I paused,stared at her face which was canopied in fear and dismay. . All I wanted that moment was to blank wall Val from initiating Steph but not sure if I had the power to do so and secondly I couldn't differentiate if what was happening there was just a mere acting or not. I can't tell if they already planned this to get me initiated. just then,the memory of every thing Emeka told me about the Confraternity came knocking on my head. Episode 19 . My decision is that I won't join you guys and death is never an option,all I want now is for you guys to just let me leave this place in peace,I voiced out fearlessly, surprising everybody with my outburst including Steph,who stared at me vigorously. . "Buhahahahahaha! Val burst out in laughter, which got me confused and a bit scared..I couldn't figure out the reason behind that. . He laughed uncontrollably for more than thirty(30) seconds, getting everybody in the room more confuse before he paused and wore back his normal mean face. . "Where you think say you dey? where you borrow mind from to go against my two options? I no fit remember adding others specify for the two options wey I gave you.where you from carry this one come? like I told you before, if you fail to decide your fate,i go decide am for you, he angrily poured out. forcing fear into me.. . "Shaggy!, I heard him called. . Yes ******! the so called Shaggy answered, left the entrance to the room he was blocking and went forward to answer him. . I surveyed the position of everybody in the room and calculated the total speed required for me to be able to escape the room with out any of them getting hold of me. After the addition and subtraction I found out that, if I dare try to escape the room with the way things are,i would be cought.There were still two other guys a bit closer to the door and for me to be able to escape safely I need to distance the two guys from the door. . Was still planning my way out, when i overheard Val ordering the guy to carry out with their normal OT(orientation). . The Shaggy nodded in acceptance, walking towards me to carry out Val's order. Just then a disastrous idea came to my mind and that was to raise the whole fire wood up with my bare hands,not minding getting myself injured or getting anybody injured including Steph.. All that matters to me then,was just to escape from the room. . As the Shaggy was like two steps closer to me, I bucked up like a horse, scattering the whole fire wood,with enough fire blazing out from each stick with my bare hands.. Scream from both the males and females took over the room. . I barged out from the room in full speed, with intention of smacking anybody that dared to block my way that moment, but thankfully the door was cleared for me to escape. . immediately I found my way out of the building, I added more lucozade to my speed, without looking back.. . Every where was very dark, but I ran like I was seeing the road very clearly. The happiest part of it all was that my lodge(hostel) was not far from there. I never paused to rest nor looked bck to confirm if i was being pursued till I got to my lodge(hostel). I pushed the gate,but unluckily for me the gate was locked. I banged and banged on the gate till I heard the lodge gate man angrily questioned who that was.. . "Oga Bello abeg open, na Henry wey dey stay for room B29. I pleaded with him. . Ahh! Fenly,he called with his normal Hausa intonation .. "this one you dey come back by this time, wetin happen? . "Oga Bello abeg open the gate first before asking wetin kill mama Aboy. I angrily shouted at him. . He rushed and opened the gate, standing in the manner of waiting for an explanation from me. . With the same speed I came back with,i fled to my room,without wasting upto five seconds. I couldn't tell how It happened. All that mattered to me then was to safely enter my room. I strictly locked my door, knelt down immediately and gave God all the glory he needed for saving my life. . To be continued...

Episode 20 . I laid on my bed,forcing heavy breaths out of my nostrils. Soon enough,nature came and took me to another world.. . I woke up very late the next day, feeling pains in my muscles. Thankfully it was a saturday. I managed to sat up from my bed, just then the incident of last night showed up in my memory. I rehearsed everything that happened., How lucky I was to escape from the hands of those wolves in human form. How gracious God is. I knelt again, thanked him tremendously, sang songs of praises to him. . After praying, I struggled to get on my feet. My thighs ached badly. I crawled to my cart and took two tablets of Paracetamol,a pain reliever, to ease the pains I was passing through that moment. I struggled back to bed, waiting for the drug to react and luckily for me it didn't took much time to abate the pains. I was able to move my legs a bit freely again. . I rushed to the bathroom, brushed my teeth and then had my bath. I was back to life again,though my happiness was cut short by hunger pangs. There was no strength to even think of cooking anything and there was also no appetite for any uncooked food. All I wanted to eat just then was rice and local stew(Ofeakwu). . I checked the time in my phone, it was saying 12.48pm. I dressed up and headed to go and eat outside. Was a bit scared of falling in to the hands of Val and his evil partners again but I had no choice, I needed to eat. . I shut my door and left for the restaurant where I would eat. On getting to the lodge stairs, I bumped in on Stephanie who was coming up with a bucket of water. . I froze immediately on seeing her and she also did the same on seeing me. We stared at each other for like 5mins without uttering any word. Though I felt like hugging her that minute but the incident of last night was still fresh in my memory and I still can't differentiate her from a fake. . When I got myself back,i walked pass her without saying anything.That, I believed left her more stunned. . I regretted my action, but that was the right thing to do. I was humiliated because of her, I almost became a cultist because of her. And my life is still at risk because of her. Remembering those things hurts like hell. . I was about leaving the lodge gate when I heard someone shout my name. I paused, turned and was shocked on seeing who was calling me. . To be continued Tomorrow.

Episode 21 . I turned to face who that was, and it was no other person but Stephanie, running towards me,with her arms flying in the air. I was overwhelmed, I never expected that. . She ran to me and gave me a passionate hug. I deliberated for a while on whether to return her hug or not. But that was what I needed that moment. I rounded my Arms on her waist and we tied together for some minutes. . "Thank you so much Henry. Thank you for being safe. I am so sorry for all that happened last night. It was all my fault for not seeing that coming. I never invited Val nor his friends.My illusion is telling me that it was all planned out by Jenny. I would have come to check up on you earlier but Jenny was with me all through. I didn't want to put you into any sort of problem again. Please forgive me and don't see me as a betrayer. I still have a lot of explanation to make if you would give me time to. she pleaded. . All she said then, was what I wanted to hear from her. Her words wiped away all the sorrows of last night. My love for her grew even more stronger. . She separated herself from me, with tears dropping from her eyes, she planted an unimaginable kiss on my lips . I was so shocked, because I never saw that coming. I stared at her cluelessly. I was lost. . "Are you in a haste?, she asked wiping her tears with her palms. . Her question restored back my lost sense, though I didn't hear her clearly. so i pleaded she re-ask her question. . "I asked whether you are in a haste, . "Oh! not really, was on my way to go and eat. I explained, stammering each words out. . "Eat? she asked with a surprised look on her face . "Yah! was heading out to go and eat, I explained again. . "I cooked, would you mind saving your strength and money and follow me upstairs? she said, blazing out her usual angelic smile. . Wanted to ask what she cooked because what was on my mind to eat was rice and local stew., but being with her was enough for me and I had a lot of questions to ask her. . "ok,lets go up. I said, forcing out a calm smile . . Thank you so much for accepting. She said, then held my palms to drag me up playfully. I felt a terrible pain in my palms which forced me to withdrew my hand involuntarily from hers. . oh! dear what's wrong? she asked with concern . my palms, I cried out. . Oh my God! I guess injury from the fire last night. she sympathized . I am so sorry dear, will apply first aid to it when we get up. Did it also affected your second palm she asked turning to check it. . "Yah, but not too bad . "Ok, will treat it when we get up. . We walked quietly to the stair where she kept her bucket of water,with her right arm resting on my neck . . Wanted to help her carry the water,but she went against it because of my injured palm. . She struggled with the bucket of water to her room,while I waited at her door . "Won't you come in?she asked after dropping the bucket of water in her bathroom. . Is your roommate not around, I cautiously asked . . "No she isn't, she traveled this morning. so you are free to come in. . I majestically walked into her room, sat on the foam and then kept myself company with the magazine I saw on the bed,while she serve out the food. . She came out with a plate of egusi soup and a well prepared wheat. Though that was a different food from what I wanted to eat, but Egusi is my favorite soup so I can't resist it. . "Are you not going to eat with me, I asked when she was done serving the food out. . "No,i am ok.it hasn't been long I ate . but we can share your meat together when you are done,she joked . "Ok then. . I didn't take much time in devouring the food,though it hurts forming the balls with my palms. . When I was done, we shared the meat like she suggested. She cleared plates and came back with a small first aid box . . She dried my palms with towel and started applying some liquid substance (hydrogen peroxide) . . "Tell me how you get to know Jenny and how you got involved with Val.i demanded, stunning her with my request. . "Ok, it's quite a long story, but I guess we have the whole day. It happened this way... . To be continued... . That will be a story for another day.
