The DMW boss, Davido has made
history again by selling out
10,000 tickets in South America,
causing the revered Nigerian
comedian Bovi to react by saying
that the only places left for him to
perform are heaven and hell.
The pop star and DMW‘s boss
sold out a 10,000 capacity
auditorium in Suriname, a small
region in South America that
most of us do not know exists. In
addition to selling out a 10,000
capacity auditorium in an
unknown country, the audience
sang along to his songs word for
word. This is an evidence that
Nigeria music has gone global!!!
Suriname is a small country on
the northeastern coast of South
America. It is defined by its vast
swaths of tropical rainforest,
Dutch colonial architecture, and a
melting-pot culture. On its
Atlantic coast is the capital,
Paramaribo, where palm gardens
grow near Fort Zeelandia, a 17th-
century trading post. Stunned by
this, Bovi wrote this online;
“This Gee just sold 10,000 tickets
in a country I had never known
or heard of until this moment.
Suriname!!! In South America of
all places. The audience was
singing word for word.
Remaining heaven and hell for
Davido to perform!!!”
