EPISODE 1 THE BEGINNING TIWATOPE She was walking aimlessly towards the school small gate with her new friend, Kayode when she bumped into a clumpsy guy. Tiwatope was a tall, chubby, dark-skinned lady, she was a nineteen-year old innocent girl. It was her first day in The University, She gained admission few weeks back and she resumed that monday, met with Kayode at the faculty, it was her first day in school too. She was a slim outspoken lady, she was an extrovert who talked freely. She had two things in common with Tiwatope, they were both outspoken and they shared the same hostel but different rooms. They had made jest of almost all their classmates from the classrep who brought a box to class, a lady who plaited her hair with a multicoloured attachments. As they were trekking to their hostel outside their the school small gate, they ran into a clumsy guy. Kayode was the first to noticed the guy who was dressed in a baggy black pant trousers, a white shirt, a blue cardigan, a black boot and a black backpack approaching them. She bursted into laughter and drew Tiwalade's attention to the clumsy guy. "Tee, see your husband" She said pinching Tiwa. They bursted into laughter. OMOGORIOLA It was his first day in The University, he resumed three weeks after resumption, after arranging his things in his hostel, he decided to check his department, he sighted two young girl approaching him, he took interest in the chubby lady and decided to approach them, he was wearing a white shirt, a blue trousers, a black pants and carried a black backpack, he had promised to dress well in school since his elder brother had advised he did to aymttract good friends and grades. He heart raced as he approached the two ladies who were laughing so hard that people around them were attracted to their laughter. He was slightly embarrassed but he had to talk to the chubby lady. "Hello, I'm Gori but you can call me geeboy"he introduced himself. "Nice meeting you" he added quickly, he streched his hand for a handshake but the girl exchanged glances and laughed. He felt embarrassed and turned to leave. "I am Tiwa, Tiwatope and here is Kayode, my friend." He heard an angelic voice introduced, he turned quickly as the chubby lady stretched her right hand for a handshake. He shook her happily. "Thanks. I'm a new students admitted to study English Education and I don't know my way around yet, today is my first day in school." He expressed. "Whao! It means we are in the same faculty. I think your departmental building is beside ours." Tiwa said. "Can you please take me there or is it far?" He asked "Yes, it is far and we can't take you here!" Kayode said smiling wickedly. She dragged Tiwatope out leaving Gorilla all alone. "What was that for?"Tiwa asked when the were some kilometers away " Don't you see that that rubbish boy was wasting our time."Kayode answered rudely. "But at least, he's a fresher like us. We supposed to assist him." Tiwatope said "Tiwa, that boy is not our class moreso, all these boys are looking for lives to destroy and I don't want us to familiarise with any of them." She said. "But..." "But what?" Kayode cut in."Are you google map or is that what your parents send you here to do" She eyed her.

EPISODE 2 Goriola got to the hostel in evening looking so exhausted, he arranged his locker, brought out the small stove he brought from home and cooked noodles, Kenneth came in as he was eating, Kenneth was a tall guy compared to Goriola who was short, he was darkskinned and his look was rugged. "Who u be?" He asked immediately he entered the room. "I am Goriola but you can call me geeboy" "Na ken I be. Wetin una dey do for this room?" Ken asked as he joined Goriola, he took a mouthful spoon of Noodles. "Why this thing con get salt like this? Na from river u waka come" he asked swallowing another spoon of noodles. "This is my room, I guess you are my new partner." Gori said trying to hide his anger. Kenneth was swallowing his fifth spoon of noodles while he hardly took two, he knew the room would be tough coping with Ken. "Na u b d JJC? Omo, this food no sweet o." He said as he stood up, the food had finished. He dipped his hand into his pocket and brought out a two hundred naira note. "Use dis money cook concortion, I dey come for night." He dropped the money on the drawer and left. "What sort of wahala is this? He didn't allow me to eat self. Moreover, any sane person would know two hundred naira cannot cook rice." He soliloquied. * * * * Goriola woke up around past four the following morning, took his bath and prepared for lectures. He ate the leftover concortion since Ken never showed up the night before, he got to school few minutes past six, he went into his department and copied the departmental timetable and went into his departmental hall. He sat down till Ten when people were coming in twos, he sat alone,students were trooping in, some were playing, some jisting while some were looking in his direction,laughing. Gori was a clumpsy guy, he was never calm and organised. He was feeling awkward since most of the students' attention was on him. He brought out his bunch of keys and unlock his backpack, the class roared. He saw everybody's attention was on him and he was embarrassed, he brought out his small jotter and started writing a poem. Gori was a great poet, he started writing poems at the age of eight. He would composed a poem for his parents,siblings and friends. He was composing a poem about his "chubby" new friend, Tiwa. "Why are you so uncomposed? " he heard a lady's voice.He raised his head to see a light skinned girl smiling sheepishly at him. "Hello." He managed to say. "You are a new student right?" The girl asked. "Yes. I resumed yesterday." He replied as he continued with his poem. "I am Promise, you?" "Goriola." "Whao.Do you compose this?" She asked picking his jotter. She went through the jotter and was amazed. "You will make a great poet." "Thanks. I want to ask you one question." "Go ahead." "Why are they laughing?" Heasked pointing to a group of girls. She smiled. "Your dress-sense is funny, and you padlocked your school bag." She said smiling hard. He was embarrassed, he buried my head in shame as he remembered Kayode and Tiwa were laughing when he met them. "Stop locking your bag, no one will steal your poems" she said as she collected his Nokia torchlight phone and typed her number. "Call me" She said as she left his seat. It was an hectic day, lectures ended by four, he roamed about the faculty looking for his chubby friend. He left for his hostel around six since his search proved infertiled. He was disappointed. His space was in a mess when he got to his lodge, his clothes littered the floor, his stove had been misplaced, he saw Ken sleeping on his bed. He arranged his clothes, returned the stove to its position then woke ken up. "Ken,who did this?" He fumed. "Say wetin? Do wetin?" Ken replied rubbing his eyes with his hands. "Who disorganised my space?" "Gori, na u? Na God go punish ur mama! I giv u money say make u cook... U con chop am finish con here dey talk rubbish?you craze?" Ken cursed angrily. "How do you expect me to cook with two hundred naira?" Gori asked. "Dem swear for u? Dis boy don sick o!" Ken said clapping his hands. "Oh oh oh!you won dey form jagaban so tay u don enter skul like dat, shey?you no dey look face? When I enter this school, na JSS 2 u go still dey o... Na u wan con dey form Superman, u beta take time" ken expressed. "I actually cooked rice yesterday but you were not around, I ate the leftover this morning." Gori explained "U beta go cook concortion" ken commanded. "How can I Cook concortion with two hundred naira? " I no day u geh rice, use d money buy pepper and oil"he left the room immediately. The rest of the week was uneventful as the search for Gori's chubby lady proved abortive. On Friday, Gori was in the departmental Hall waiting for the arrival of the lecturer when Promise came around. "Gori." She called out his name as she sat on the tabke facing him. "Promise, good morning." He said grinning. "Your dressing make sense today, keep it up." She commended. Gori was wearing a cream buba and soro with a cream cap, it was a Friday so he needed to dressed like a Yoruba man or so he thought. Promise, on the other hand was putting on an Ankara short gown, her hair packed in a twist, she was a pretty girl and it was Gori's first time of checking her out "Are you going to your in-laws house?" A guy asked from the backseat and everyone around laughed. Gori was embarrassed, he could not take it anymore, so he left his bag and went outside, he saw one big tree right in front of their classroom and sat under, he preferred being alone than being laughed with by his colleagues. "I am sorry." The guy who made jest of him was standing directly in front of him. Gori chuckled and told the guy it was nothing that he came outside because he was bored. "Don't you have friends?" The guy asked. Gori told him his only friend was Promise, the girl in their class. "Well, I am Anthony but you can call me Tony, I am from Enugu State" the guy said sitting close to him. "I'm Gori from Akoko in Ondo state." He replied. "Will you be my friend?"Tony asked. " I don't have friends around, I will like to be your friend, Tony. " he replied. They started their friendship that Friday,exchanged contact and address. Tony promised to check him in the hostel on Saturday. He told Tony he would preferred coming to Tony's hostel instead. They attended lectures together and departed. Gori left home early on Saturday morning as Ken had decided to show him hell. He was never enjoying the room as Ken had turned him into a slave who did dishes, cooked, washed and other. Ken was bullying him and he would steal from his wallet sometimes. He arrived at Tony's hostel around seven thirty in the morning and when Tony opened the door, he was shocked to see him that early morning. "What happened? Why are you here so early?" Tony questioned as he led him into his space. He met a young fair guy laying on the other bed,greetedhim but he never responded. "Your room is lovely" Gori commented as he sat down on the Bed, he narrated what was going on between him and Ken to Tony. "Wetin be im name" the young guy layingdiwn asked in a n hoarse voice . Gori was terrified, how could a young guy abruptly an under twenty young boy possessed such a husky voice. He noticed the guy sat up and marvelled at his handsomeness, his body was filled with different tattoos and he had piercings on his nose and ears.He carried a rough dreaded hair that was shaped into a punk. "No b u I dey follow yarn?" The guy asked again. "His name is Ken, Kenneth." He replied "I b Don, Bills d Don, na me be the only don dey dey control d dons even elder d don" the guy introduced himself. Gori gaze was fixed on the guy tattoos. "U know wetin, let's be friends" the guy said. He dipped his hands into his back pocket and brought out fifteen one thousand naira notes. "Go use this buy clothes and shoes, I go see u later." He said and went out. Gori gave Tony an askance look as he was yet to understood what was going on. How could a sane man give out fifteen thousand, a student for that matter. EPISODE 3 Tony and Gori went to the Lodge market and bought few shirts,trousers and a pair of sneakers. Gori offered Tony some but he refused bluntly telling him he needed the clothes more because of his poor dress sense. Tony saw him off to his lodge as he promised on checking him in the hostel the next day. "Why would your roommate offer me such money, Tee. He is a student like us." Gori asked as Tony was about leaving. "I'm confused too, Gori. Even though, we stay in the same room,we hardly talk. He would come to the hostel once in a while to rest. I heard he is just twenty years of age o, he is in four hundred level Banking and Finance. He is a rich dude, I learnt his father was a one time senator in Kwara state. Rumors have it that he is into Yahoo Yahoo. He cruise Xtera and Camry o. Omo, DAT boy na big boy, make in just teach me small, I wan blow o" Tony explained. Gori was marvelled and confused, he felt something was wrong somewhere. They departed that evening and Gori on getting to his lodge met his cartorn of noodles gone, his foodstuffs sack was gone too. He searched thoroughly and reported to the Portal when he could not find it,He slept on a bare stomach. Ken came the next morning and Gori quickly asked if he saw his missing foodstuffs. "Say wetin? "Go report me to the V.C, coz portals no fit do me anything." Ken replied as he laid on his mattress. Gori cried for some minutes before he left for the portal lodge, after lodging his complains, the portals advice him to either evacuate the room or resign to fate. "You mean I should leave the room I paid for?" He asked "Then you accept your fate, my child" the elderly portal replied. "So you knew that man is a bully and you paired me with him" "You came late. You see, Ken is feared among students and lecturers, he is the torn on the V.C's neck, even if you report him to the V.C, they would rather lock you up. My advice is if you have money, move to off campus" another portal warned. Gori resigned to fate and returned to his hostel. He took his stove to the portal's lodge as advised, he bought little foodstuffs and soup ingredients with the one thousand and the other seven hundred the portals contributed for him. He cooked and ate in the portals lodge and left for his hostel after. He kept his foodstuffs and stove with the portals. * * * * Gori went to school the following morning looking pale, he had called his mum the previous night and explained everything to her, she complained bitterly of his father inability to get his siblings school fees and advised him to manage till she could get some money to send to him. He cried all night, he felt some strong hands on him during the night and upon opening his eyes, he saw Ken stark Unclad struggling to have his way with him. He struggled, shouted but Ken succeeded in raping him, yea... Ken deflowered him. He sat in his favourite position that morning reminiscing his past days in school when he heard someone called his name, he turned to see Tony and Promise. "Guys, good morning" he greeted trying to force a smile. "You look sick, Are you fine?" Promise asked "You have some sleepbags,did you sleep at all?" Tony asked too. Gori looked at both of them and saw how worried they look, just to cover his sadness, he bursted into laughter, he laughed so hard that the duo exchanged an askance glance. It was noon, Gori, Tony, Promise and her friends were seated on the lecture pew in the faculty general hall, Gori had explained what happened the following day leaving out the rape incident, Tony felt for him and told him Bills d Don would like to see him at his offcampus apartment that afternoon, he told him Bills d Don had been nice to him since Gori's visit. He gave him his address as he had been warned not to come with him. The girls were also gisting and laughing, Gori brought out his jotter and started composing a poem on his unfortunate experience when he heard someone called his name, it sounded much like his mother's voice, he looked up just to see his dream grinning at him. "Chubby queen" he called out absentmindedly. "Excuse me" the girl said feeling embarrassed. "Oh, sorry. Ehm ehm ehm...." He tried recollecting the girl's name. "Tiwatope" the Lady helped him out. He said bringing out his Nokia Torchlight phone and handed it to her, she tried punching the '0' key but it seized, Gori had forgotten the key can only be operated by him and his father, yes his father, his father gave him the phone including the simcard when he was coming to school. He exchanged glances with Tony, he was embarrassed. Tiwatope returned the phone to him, gave him her Nokia express music to type his number which he did, she later called him and asked him to save her number. Promise and her friends bursted into laughter as soon as Tiwa left for her seat. Gori was embarrassed, Tiwa's phone intimidated his'. EPISODE 4 KEN'S DEATH kpa kpa kpa was the noise coming out of the room opposite the room he sat waiting for Bills d Don, the noise was so much that he felt so uncomfortable. He searched the eyes of the two hefty guys who stood few meters from him and knew something was not wrong because he was deliberating on whether to go and save whosoever was shouting or not. Few minutes later, a girl walked out of the room stark Unclad,she walked past him into another room, he searched through the two guys and he knew no one give a damn. "The girl knew no shame" he said to himself. How could a young fair lady walk unclad so freely without any iota of shame. Bills d Don stepped into the room with two other guys and Gori knew he was as shameless as the Lady, he was claded in a yellow shorts and that was all. Gori knew from the two guys look, Bills d Don had had sex with the lady in their presence. He stood up immediately Bills d Don got to his seat. "Afternoon sir." He greeted with respect even when he knew vividly that he was older than Bills d Don. "Ao far, guy. Sidon na" Bills responded as they both sat on the Sofa. "Thanks for the other day Sir. He loved Gori's spirit, he had a feelings Gori had a knowledge of what he was talking about. He knew he really needed to poison Gori's spirit to get the school's greatest nightmare. Gori,on the other hand, knew Bills was referring to Ken, the portals told him the previous day that even the VC dreaded Ken. He thought of the rape incident and he felt more hatred for Ken, he hurriedly gulped the cup of beer infront of him not caring it belonged to Bills. He squeezed his fist in such a manner that even the guys guarding Bills feared he wanted to fight. "I love your spirit, OmoG" he smirked. Gori's eyes were bloodshot and all he was thinking of was how to kill Ken. "You have to see the VC tomorrow." Gori looked straight into Bill's eyes, he was not ready to face the VC... He came into the institution barely a week ago and he was about entering a poop. Though he was afraid, Gori was blinded by revenge. He cared less about anyone and everyone, he wanted to end the life of his nightmare. * * * * * Gori was sitted on a black leather chair in a well furnished office, the receptionist had offered him a chilled bottled water and he had drank it almost halfway. He was scared and nervous to face the school's number one citizen. An old age man walked into the office, he was claded in a brown suit, he was in his early sixties. "Good afternoon, Sir." He stood up and greeted. The man responded and sat opposite Gori. He waved him to sit which he did abruptly, he was not comfortable sitting close to the man whose eyes could pierce a hardened heart, he looked so firm and he never laughed. Rumours had it that he was a saddist. "Do you know why you are here?" The VC asked as he scanned through Gori's eyes. "Yes" he responded firmly. He looked so dangerous that even the VC was terrified. "What is your name, course and age?" The VC asked. "Goriola Fatoyinbo. I am twenty years, I'm studying English and Education, 100level." He replied. "What fraternity do you belong to?" Gori kept quiet, he was confused, he had never heard such word. "I mean, are you a cultist?" The VC expressed. "No sir." He replied "Why do you think you can handle this situation? Five reknown cultists and herbalists tried doing this but they all ended up dying" The VC explained, he liked the young man sitting opposite him because he looked much like his late son. The way the young chap stared at him made him terrified. "I will do it" Gori said firmly and stood up, he left the office before the VC could sy anything. He got to the hostel and went of Ken's corner immediately, He opened his wardrope and saw a packet of cigarette and a bottle of Chelsea gin.... He lit the cigarette,dragged it and puffed the smoke,he drank the gin until he felt hot down his throat. It was his first time of smoking and drinking such gin but he cared less, he needed to think and he learnt smoking and drinking helped a lot for thorough thinking. He was casting his mind back to what the VC told him about Ken, after thinking for few minutes, he came into conclusion that he must see how powerful Kenneth was. He laid on his bed but could not sleep, Ken came in few minutes later and perceived the smell of alcohol and cigarette, he quickly went to his wardrobe and noticed something was amiss. He tapped Gori and ushered him to stand up. "Wetin dey smell for this room?" "I no no o" "Who smoked and drank this Chelsea drink?" He picked up the gin bottle as he spoke correct English the first time since Gori knew him. "Ohthat, I was the one" he smiled "Why you go touch my property?" "Don't you touch mine" Ken felt defeated. "See, no touch my things wen I no dey again o" he warned. "Ken, please, give me more gins and cigarette, I need to get high... There is this Lady I'm planning to visit tonight." He said smiling. "You mean you wan sample chick" Ken grinned "Yes." "You sabi kpash?" "Why not?" "Na ote you be jor buh I go help you, carry the babe come this room, I go sample am first then u go finish the parole." He said grinning so hard. "Ken, what's that naw? OK, I promise to cook concortion for you." "OmoG, I no need concortion, you no wetin u go do, arrange one babe for me, I go give you this room tonight." "No deal!"Gori knew vividly he was not bringing any lady into the room but he needed to get closer to Ken to know his weakest point. ****** Gori was claded in a Knickerbocker and white vest, the Knickerbocker belonged to his father, almost all the clothes he brought to school were his father's, he called Tiwatope to notify her that he was on the way, Ken sat on his bed looking for a way to make Gori arrange a girl for him. " guy, wassup naw." "I'm going out, ken." "No carry any girl come this room or I go report u o" he warned, Gori laughed at his foolishness. EPISODE 5 TIWATOPE She had begged her friend, Kayode to escort her to meet her new friend, Goriola. She had confided in her friend about the feelings she had for Goriola. "Tiwa, I don't see a point in what you are saying. You mean you're having feelings for that clumsy guy who is always disorganized?" "Kay, I've never felt this way for a guy. I think I love this guy." How would they feel if they discovered you wanted to date a church rat?" "Don't speak ill of him, remember, Goodluck Jonathan had no shoes" By now,they had sighted Gori from afar. "Stop that, we're approaching him." Tiwa warned. "Lover girl, what is your Princecharming wearing" Kayode said and bursted into laughter. "Stop that now!" Tiwa hit her trying to conceal her embarrassment, Gori was an embarrassment. "See your Princecharming knicker, one of the pair is enough to do sack race" Tiwa could not help but laughed, when it came to dressing, Gori is worst. GORIOLA He knew the girls were making jest of him and he felt embarrassed, he greeted them even though Kayode was giving him attitudes, he cared less. Kayode excused herself as she went to sit on a bench some miles away. The duo settled on a log of wood and they talked about their families,school and all. It was dark and kayode had started complaining from afar that they were wasting her time. Goriola told Tiwa he had feelings for her and he wished they could be lovers, Tiwa did not think twice before she said yes! The reason was that both were amateurs and knew nothing about love, they were only following their immatured mind and wanted to taste what school life was all about having a lover. SHADOWS OF THE GREEN --------- PART 2 ******** EPISODE 1 ******** 29th of November, 2014. Akin Badmus, Gori Anikulapo and Adigun Makun were all sitted in the VC's office. "At last, I'm happy we finally ended the life of that mysterious boy." Adigun Makun said as he picked a tumbler. "Before he killed all our children..." The VC added. "Ah... Kayode! I missed my only daughter. I'm the Jesus who took away the sins of the world o... I lose my daughter and my loving wife! So sad!" He buried his head in his palms. "But thank God you have another son now... And a wife at least..." The VC patted his back. "He thought he is so powerful that no one can touch him... But seriously, Jack and Dan deserve big compensation from the Green." Adigun Makun suggested. "... Let's deal with that fool's burial at first... Then celebration follows..." Akin Badmus cut in. "I will make sure the school itself is in charge of his burial, I hate stories that touch..." The VC said. "That is true o, Gori. So he won't just come back like a thief in the night... "...and finally, the school is ready to give all his siblings free scholarship to student any course of their choice." Applauses were flying everywhere. PART 2 ---- EPISODE 2 ********** Life was not as easy as Tiwa thought it would be after Gori's death, she was four month gone already. She remembered how Gori's mother embarrassed her and her mother during Gori's burial. Gori had refused to take her to his mother before his death. The woman had accused her of forcing pregnancy on her because of her son's death. She had two weeks notice of evacuation... She could not go to her mother's house... Everything seemed meaningless and shebacame suicidal ***************************************** "A meeting?" Cindy asked as she rose up to her feet as her phone beeped another message from Halima Mohammed. "What meeting?" She typed, she saw her typing immediately. "Do you remember Jack? Dad's young friend. He wanted us to hang out with him." Halima messaged her back. "Inside Dad's school? It sounds fishy." She replied. "Babe, you know I'm crushing on Jack... Can you please let's meet him..." The guys were fully dressed,blings dangling on their cold neck. A Toyota yaris was parked few yards away with all its doors opened. It was quite obvious that the four bodies were dragged out from the car save the bruises on their bodies. What a pitiful way to die. The hefty body had his yes plugged out. "Where are they coming from?" One of the students asked. "See, that one looked like Jack, Jack the bully." Another said pointing to the hefty body. "Who killed them? This is not an accident scene o." "One of those bodies looks like the deputy's only son o." He said scratching his head. "How do you mean?" Officer Jakande asked moving closer to the bodies.
