TEENAGE LOVE Episode 2 --continuation-- ONE HOUR FOURTY FIVE MINUTES LATER The English language paper 2&3 had ended and students trooped out of the exam hall. Some were gisting while some walk towards the main gate. Segun came out and saw Olanike. The girl he met in the morning on the staircase. He walked up to her. "Hi". He greeted. "Segun?" She asked smilling. "Yeah, how was ur papers?" he asked. "It was fine and yours?" She replied. "Same." he replied. They both walked towards the main road. "What's your name?" He asked. "So, you don't know. My name is Olanike." "Nice name." He complimented. "Thanks." She replied. Moments later, they got to the bus-stop but unfortunately, they are going different ways. "Which way are you going?" She asked. "Iwo road and you?" he replied. "I live in the GRA". She replied. "So, you even lived very close to the centre?" he asked. "Yeah, don't you see am lucky?" she asked. "Very lucky." "Bye, see you on monday." she said. "Alright." he replied. They parted and Olanike crossed to the other side of the road, while Segun entered a commercial but that will take him home. "a nice begining to a great examination." He thought to himself and smiled.

TEENAGE LOVE episode 3 Segun got down at the junction leading to his house and started walking along the untarred road that led to his house. FIVE MINUTES LATER He knocked on the big black iron gate at the entrance of his father's house. His junior sister Mary opened the gate for him. "Welcome bro Segun." She greeted bending her knees. "Thank you." He answered. "Bring your bag." She requested. Giving it to her. "Is Daddy at home?" he asked. "No." she replied. "What of mummy?" "She's not back from the shop." she answered. He entered into the sitting room, climbed the stairs and went straight to his room to change and take a shower. He came down some minutes later and asked for his food. He was served a plate of rice and fried plantain and fish. He ate the food hungrily and went into his room to take a nap. He woke up two hours later and he discovered that the PHCN (Power Holding Company of Nigeria) had restored the light. He scrambled out of bed to plug his phone to charge. Then he settle down to read for his next paper, Agricultural Science which was scheduled to take place the following monday. He read for the next on hour before he went to the dining to have his dinner. He got there and found mary in the living room watching T.v. He finished his food and rose up to go to bed. "Won't you go and sleep?" he asked. "I will. But i want to finish this move. She answered. "Okay, but kindly reduce the volume so that you won't disturb dad and mum. He requested. She picked up the remote control and reduced the volume. "Goodnight." He said "Goodnight." She replied. Immediately he got into his room, he unplugged his phone and logged in to a popular chat application known as '2go'. He was suprised to see a pending friend request from a strange user 'jummy77'. He accepted the request and he discovered that the user was online. His phone beeped. A new message. The following the course which their conversation took; Jummy77: Hi. Shegzy: Hello. Jummy77: How are you? Shegzy: Am good and you?....please do i know you? Jummy77: Am fine. Jummy77: This is Jummy, Omolayo's friend . Shegzy: Oh! Its you. How was your day. Jummy77: It was good. Shegzy: Dat's good to hear. Jummy77: How is your girlfriend. [smile>big grin] He chatted with a few more friends before exiting the application. He picked up his essential Agrictultural science textbook and started reading. He slep around 2am the following morning which was a sunday. --to be continue--

TEENAGE LOVE episode 4 MONDAY MORNING. Mr Akinola was seated on a sofa in the sitting room with his wife and daughter. "You! Call your brother for me". He said. She stood up and went upstairs towards Segun's room. Knocking the door. "Bro Segun? Daddy is calling you." "Okay, am coming. He replied. She left the door and went back to the sitting room to join her parents. Few minutes later, Segun descended the stairs and went to the sitting room. "Yes Dad, I learnt you're calling me." "Yes. Aren't you going for your papers today?" "I will but i have an afternoon paper." He replied. "Okay! Take. He said handing him a #50 note. "Thank you sir." Standing on his feet. "See you later in the evening." "Bye Dad." They both chorused. "Daddy, wait let me pick my bag, so you can drop me in the shop." His wife said. "Aren't you taking your car?" he asked. "Yes, i don't feel like." She replied. "No problem. Meet me outside." he said. Mrs Akinola stood up and went inside to pick up her handbag. She re-emerged a few minutes later. "Mary?" "Yes mum." "Make sure you prepare something to eat before you father comes back." "Ok ma." With this, she went outside and joined her husband in the green Toyota RAV-4 parked outside. Off they both went out. 11:30AM Segun came out of his room dressed in a blue long sleeves fitted shirt and a black pant trouser with a black paul smith shoe. He was looking handsome and cute. Mary was seated in the living room reading a novel. She looked towards the dining area when she heard footsteps on the stairs. "Where to?" She asked. "Am off for my papers." He replied. "But i thought it is scheduled for 2pm." She asked. "Yes, you're right but i have to make it early to the exam hall to avoid stories that touch." He explained. "Okay, safe journey. She prayed. "Amen, thanks. He replied. "Heads will surely turn in that centre when they see a handsome boy enter." she said laughing. "hmmm. He giggled before rushing out of the house. 12:45PM Segun walked into Loyola colled on monday afternoon. He walked towards the examination hall opposite the school football pitch. He entered the hall and walked towards his seat. Only a few student were around as at the time he came. He greeted those seated at the front seats, he looked towards the end of the hall and saw someone wave at him, he waved back and sat down. He mumured a few words of prayer, opened his textbook and did some 1th-hour revision. "Hey!" she said tapping on the shoulder. "Oh! It's you?" he replied. "How are you?" she asked. "Am fine and you?" he replied. "Am okay." she answered. "that's good." he said. "Are you busy?" she asked. "No, why?" he replied with a question. "Just want to read my books." "Ok have your sit." He said shifting for her. THIRTY FIVE MINUTES INTO THEIR READING OR RATHER GISTING. A light complexioned guy walked into the exam hall burning with anger. He tapped segun's table, disrupting their conversation. "Yes! How may i help you?" Segun asked. "What are you doing with my girlfriend?" He asked. --to be continued--

EPISODE 5 -- "What are you doing with my girlfriend?" he asked. Segun pretended as if he didn't hear what he said. He looked back as if he was helping him search for his girlfriend. In a blink of an eye a slap was release atomically on segun's handsome face. Before Segun could react, the guy had slapped Olanike too. "It's over between us! The guy shouted. "Emmanuel please, it's not what you think." olanike explained with a shaky voice. She tried holding him but he freed his hands and released another slap on her face. Just then Segun stood up and retaliated with two hot slaps on Emmanuel's face. Causing him to stagger backwards. Emmanuel face segun with a burning eyes, then he carried a chair with the aim of hitting Segun with it but Segun was fast enough to push Olanike out of danger and blocked the chair from hitting him with his hands. He pushed Emmanuel to the ground and said. "You're a disgrace for hitting your girlfriend. Even if she is cheating, there are better way through which you can call her back to order and not by humilliating her in public." Emmanuel stood up angrily but before he could take another step, other candidates in the examination hall had held him and bundled him out immediately. "I'll catch you later, you fool and as for you, Dam, don't ever come near me again. He ranted on and on as he left the examination hall. "Am very sorry about that." olanike said packing her books. "No problem." segun replied. Segun sat down and thought about the incidence that just took place, he smiled. He was suprised, he muster such courage to face such an angry guy. He opened his textbook and continued reading. Olanike on her own part was seated on her seat head bent on her locker holding back tears. "So, i have finally lost Emma? But is it a crime to be friends with another guy? Does that mean am cheating? Or maybe they both have an unfinished business before. What am i thinking? I met this guy just last week. It's not possible we have started dating. I'll have to explain myself to Emma." she thought to herself. Meanwhile jummy had been watching the unfolding drama since. She decided to talk to Segun. "Hey! Good afternoon." she said immediately she got to segun's seat. "Good afternoon." segun replied without looking up. "What just went wrong between you and your girlfriend?" "You're sick." segun cursed inwardly. "She's not my girlfriend." "So you guys aren't dating and you could defend her by taking such risk?" She asked smilling. "I don't like when guys treat girls bad." He said. "Anyways, i just came to say hi, and to commend you for your 'jack bauer's' action. "Thanks." he replied laughing. She left for her seat while segun continued reading. Just then Emma entered the exam hall and went straight to Segun's seat. He got there and handed him a piece of paper. --to be continued--

Episode 6 He unfolded the paper and read the words scribbled on it. "The battle line has been drawn. I pray you don't loose your life cos you have gotten entangled in a web of trouble." Segun sighed and stood up facing the enraged Emmanuel. Meanwhile Olanike had left her seat for Segun's seat. Immediately she got there, she collected the paper from Segun and read what was written on it. She looked at Emma with an angry face. "Emma! Why are you doing this?" "Hey! You'd better stay out of this." he retorted. "Segun please don't do anything." she advised. Segun tore the paper into pieces and gave it back to emma before walking angrily out of the hall. Leaving Emma and Olanike together. "What do you think you are doing? She asked. "What does it look like?" he replied with another question. "Leave the guy out of this. We aren't dating. We are just friends." "friends my foot. Continue being friends with him, since he is more important to you than me." He said. "What do you mean?" she asked. "You can't deny seeing my messages on whatsapp requesting to see you outside. He said. "What message? I didn't see anything of such." she said bringing out her phone from her purse. "Oh my God! I don't knw you sent me a message. Infact my phone is in silent mode." "Your phone is silent mode to avoid disturbance right?" "Yeah, but not disturbance from you....." "Save it for all i care." he cut her short and walked away angrily. "Emma!" She called after him but got no reply. He met segun by the door and blocked him from entering. "Hey! Let me in. Segun warned. "Do your worst." emma dared him. Segun held him by his collar causing him to gag and leave the way for him to enter. Just then the invigillator entered into the class. Paying no attention to struggling boys. "Bastards. See how they are fighting in public." he said irritated. The whole hall bursted into laughter. "Only God knows what they are fighting for." he said. "They are fighting because of a girl." a boy shouted from the backseat. "You see. They were sent here to write exam but they are chasing girls." he said and hissed. Segun went back to his seat and waited for the distribution of the question and answer booklet. --to be continued--

EPISODE 7 ONE HOUR THIRTY MINUTES LATER. Segun was busy writing and supplying answers to the questions given to them. "WAEC in trouble." he thought to himself. "Submit everybody." the invigilator shouted. Signifying the end of the theory paper. The students all stood up at once and walked towards the front to submit their answer booklet causing pandemonium. Segun waited till everything had settled before he stood up and submitted his booklet and sat down patiently waiting for the OMR sheet for the objectives. ONE HOUR LATER. The students all trooped out of the exam hall signifying the end of the paper for the day. Segun came out and was surprised to see everybody talking and pointing at him. He pretended he didn't hear them as he continued walking towards the gate when he saw Olanike walking in front. He increased his pace and caught up with her. "Nike?" he called out. "Yes." she answered coldly amidst sniffing. "What's wrong with you? Why are you crying?" "Am not crying." "But tears is in your eyes." "Please i want to be alone." she requested. "Okay. Can i have you number?" he found himself asking. "No problem." she collected his phone and typed her number. "Thanks." he said. They walked on in silence till they got to the bus-stop where they went their separate ways.

Episode 8 Segun got home around 5:30pm and was surprised to find his father in the sitting room. "Good afternoon Dad." he greeted prostrating. "Welcome boy." his father responded. "How was your paper." he asked. "It was fine." he said handling the question paper his father. He looked at it for some minutes before giving it back to him. "Best of luck." he prayed. "Amen." he answered. He made to leave the sitting room but his father called him back. "Segun. What happened to your face?" "Erhm. Nothing sir." He replied. "So you mean my eyes are deceiving me." "No sir. It's just that i hit my face on the window frame of the bus i boarded home." he lied. "Okay. Just make sure you take care of yourself." he advised. He knew his father didn't buy his lie but he possibly can't tell him he fought a guy because he was talking to the guy's girlfriend. He would be in trouble if he said so. He entered him room, changed his clothes and took a shower before coming downstairs to eat his lunch. Once he is through with eating he went back to his room to sleep. As he lay on the bed his phone rang. He checked the caller 'unknown number'. He picked it up. "Hello" the caller said. "Hello. Please who is this?" he asked. "It's me jummy." the caller answered. "What's this girl's problem.?" he asked himself. "Oh! It's you." he replied. "Yeah." she answered. "How did you get my number?" he asked. "I collected it from Omolayo." she replied. "Okay. So how are you doing?" "Am fine. I just want to say 'hi' and to ask if you didn't feel any pain from that guy's hits." "Not at all." he answered. "Thank God you're okay." she said. "Thanks for your concern. Good night." he said and ended the call. ["What's wrong with me? Why did i end the call when she was the one that called."] he thought to himself and smiled. JUMMY IN HER ROOM "What's this guy's problem sef. I'm showing him face, yet he kept on proving hard. Who will see a girl like me and say he didn't see an angel." she thought and hissed angrily. --to be continued

EPISODE 9 JUMMY IN HER ROOM She picked up her phone and dialled Omolayo's number. She picked the call immediately. "Hullo!" Omolayo greeted from the other end. "What's you brother's problem?" jummy asked angrily. "How did it go?" omolayo asked. "He was just behaving so weird and the most annoying part was that he ended the call." "But you were the one who called him? Layo asked. "Abi o." jummy replied. "Maybe he didn't want you to waste your credit." layo said mockingly. "I thought you are in the best position to advice me, that was why i called you. Mtcheeew." she said angrily and ended the call. Immediately she switched off her phone and laid on her bed to sleep. BACK IN SEGUN'S ROOM. Segun picked up his phone and dialled olanike's number. It rang for some seconds befor she picked it up. "Hello." he greeted. "Hello, who is this?" she asked. "Am i speaking with Olanike?" he asked. "Yes. And may i know who this is? "It's me segun." he informed. "Okay. How are you?" she asked. "Am fine and you?" he replied. "Am good." she replied. "I just called to say 'hi'." he said. "Oh! That's very good of you. Thanks." "Don't mention. goodnight." "Yeah good night." she replied. Segun ended the call and laid down on his bed to sleep. 10:30AM TUESDAY Segun came out of his room dressed in a white T-shirt over a blue jean and a gucci palm slippers. "Where are you going?" Mary asked. "Micheal's place." he replied. "Mtcheeew." she hissed. "I don't know your problem with this guy." "I have no problem with him. I just dislike him." she countered. "God will help you." he prayed. "Buy something for me when you're coming back." she said. "Something like....banana? He asked. "Do i resemble a monkey? She said and bursted into laughter. "Okay, see you later." With this he dashed out of the house into the main road and walked to the next street where micheal's house was located. He knocked on the door and micheal opened the door for him. "My guy how far? Micheal greeted extending his hands. "Am okay o." he replied shaking his hand. He entered and sat down on his favourite chair close to the door. "Oga how far about the Olanike of a girl you told me?" Micheal asked. --to be continued--

EPISODE 10 "Hw far about the Olanike of a girl you told me?" mike asked. "I still dey on top am o." segun replied. "Hope sey her boyfriend no dey fumble sha? Mike asked. "Him just dey form hard guy." segun answered. "You just have to treat his Bleep up." mike advised. "I'll see to that." segun relied. "But you need to change your strategy concerning the girl. You have to be more caring and more considerate of her feelings and you'll see that sky is not the limit." mike adviced. "Okay boss." segun said and they both bursted into laughter. "Won't you come and chill with me in my centre?" micheal asked. "I'll come but that will be on saturday. When we'll write mathematics. He replied. "Okay. Just bring girls along." "A cousin of mine is even in your centre." segun informed expertly changing the topic. "What's her name?" mike asked agitatedly. "Akinola Omolayo." segun told him. "So, she's your cousin. She happens to be my seat mate. That girl make mad sense o." mike said. "Don't try anything with that girl o." segun warned playfully. "You dey craze. No be another person's cousin you dey target? Mike replied. "what's your own? Segun asked. Segun brought out his phone and opened his 2go application and loaded jummy's picture and showed mike. "Oh my Goist! Micheal exclaimed. "What's that?" "This girl set o." mike said. "So, how does that one concern me." segun asked irritatedly. "And you said she dey give you face?" mike asked. "Yes nau." segun replied. "O boy you better act fast so you don't loose two things at a time." mike advised. "So what are you insinuating? Segun asked. "What gave you the assurance that Nike will break up with Emmanuel?" mike asked. "I don't know." segun said. "If you devote all you effort on Nike and you neglect Jummy. Jummy will find solution to her problem." Mike stressed further. "But, she's not my type." segun defended. "Sit down there and said, she is not your type. I pray you don't regret it." mike said. Segun stayed with Mike till around 3pm talking about sports, girls and their ongoing examination. Before segun left for his house. On getting to the junction of his street he remembered what Mary sent him. He quickly bought apples and kept it inside a polythene bag. He got home and gave it to her. "You are the best brother in the world." she said. "It is only when i do something for you that you know that i am your brother." segun said. "Whatever, your food is on the dining table." she informed. "Okay." As he was about to sit down to eat his phone rang. He checked the caller, it was Jummy. He considered ignoring it but on a second thought, he picked it. "Hello." Jummy greeted. "Hi." he replied. "How are you." she asked. "Am good and you?" he replied. "Am fine." she replied. "Okay." "Segun?" she called. "Yes?" he responded. "I want to tell you something." she informed. "What's that?" he asked. "Erhm...erhm....segun, i don't know how to say this, it is strange, but i have no choice." she said. "Say it now." segun replied anxiously. --to be continued tomorrow--

EPISODE 11 "Segun since the first day we met i have developed a kind of likeness or lemme say am fond of you. There is this feeling i have when i think about you. Segun i think i love you." she said. "You said what?" he pretended. "Segun don't see me as someone that is desperate. Its just that i love you." she said calmly. "But i still don't get you." he said. The line clicked at the other end which means that she had ended the call. Segun sighed and dropped his phone the table to eat his almost cold food. 9PM THE SAME DAY. After the evening devotion, Mr Akinola bade every member of his household a wonderful night rest. Segun got into his room logged into whatsapp to explain everything that ensued between him and Jummy to Mike. Mike adviced him and told him to accept her proposal but he declined wich prompted mike to tell him to suit himself. Segun logged into his 2go account and found Jummy online. He greeted her but got no reply. He got infuriated and logged out. His phone rang a few minutes later, he checked the caller and was suprised to see Nike calling. He picked at first ring. "Hello." she greeted. "Hi." he replied. "How are you?" she inquired. "Am fine o." he replied. "That's good to hear." she said. "Hope you are preparing for your next paper?" he asked. "Yes o. Agric practical." she said. "Success is ours." he prayed. "Amen." she responded. "I just called to say hi." she informed. "Okay, thanks for checking on me." he said. "You are welcome." she said. "Good night." he said. "Yeah." she replied and ended the call. Segum stood up and jubilated in his room. "Yeah, she is now becoming free with me. I said it i posses this charming look that attract girls." he said amidst laughter.

EPISODE 12 11:35AM WEDNESDAY Segun got to his examination centre and was suprised to see olanike seated at a confined place under the stair case. He heard a sound like someone is crying, so he traced the direction of the sound to under the steps. "Nike? What are you doing here?" He asked. Startled. "Oh! Segun its you." "What's the matter." he asked. "Nothing." she answered. "Nothing! And you are crying." he asked. "Oh! Am i? She asked. "You know you can tell me what the matter is." he said calmly. She dipped her hand into her purse and brought out her phone. She opened her message inbox for him. He read. "Meet me at loyola college we need to talk." 4rm Emma. "So, what's wrong with the message?" segun asked. "I got to this place at exactly 11 o'clock but was suprised when Emma officially called it quits and returned the phone i got for him." "You mean you bought a phone for him?" segun asked. "No i lied to my dad that my phone was stolen, so he gave me the money for another one which i gave to Emma." she said. "That's silly." segun said angrily. "I helped him because he was not financially okay. I did it out of love." She said as she tried to hold back tears. "So you duped your Dad because of your boyfriend?" segun asked. "I thought i was helping him." "But why would he return the phone. He can continue using it now." segun said. "He said i was trampling on his emotions because i am richer than him and i have been assisting him financially, since we've being dating." she said bitterly. "That's not an excuse." segun said. "I don't even know what to do." she said. "Try and beg him and talk him out of breaking up with you." segun advised. "I have done that, but he seems to have made up his mind about it." she said. "That means he has lost interest in you a long time ago. He was just looking for an avenue to break up with you. Because i see nothing wrong in you having male friends." segun explained. She listened with rapt attention. "Thanks" she said. "Wash your face with water to clear off any trace of tears." Segun adviced. "Okay." She collected a bottled water from him and rinsed her face with a face towel he offered her. "Lets get out of here." he said leading the way. "Okay." she said and followed him. --to be continued--

Episode 13 They took a walk round the school compound talking about so many thing. They walked, sat down taking, getting to know themselves better. One hour later segun had suceeded in knowing so much about her. She is Olanike Olajire. She is 16yrs old just like him. She was born into a christian family of five in october. She attends a private secondary school in ibadan in the name of 'Steadfast Comprehensive College." she likes reading,writing, cooking, making friends and meeting people. But disliked watching films. She was also a music and fashion freak. They got into the examination hall exactly the same time when the invigillator entered. He distributed the question papers. And the students began writing. Most of the candidates were checking answers online while some others were exchanging micro-chips and all manners of examination malpractices. Segun was busy providing answers to the questions before him. But, out of sympathy he managed to assist those who called for his help. 3:15PM The paper which started at exactly 2pm ended by 3:15pm. Segun stood up and made to get out of the hall to go and wait for Olanike outside but Jummy came by and dragged him to the back of the hall. "Hi." she greeted. "Wassup." he replied. "How was your paper?" she asked. "It was great and yours?" he asked "It wasn't bad. Even though it was difficult." she said as they both laughed. Segun saw a sign of tension relief on her face as she became a little bit free with him. "You were telling me something last night." segun said. "Yes, i meant all what i told you." she replied. "But what if i have a girlfriend?" he asked. "I had done the research about you." she informed. "Hmmmm." he sighed. "That's strange." he added. "What's strange about that?" she asked. Just then his phone beeped. 'a new message on whatsapp." He read the message, it was from Olanike. It reads; "Am ready to go, wah about you?" He read it and pocketed his phone. "I have to go." he announced. "Oh! So soon?" she asked rhetorically. "No o i'll sleep here." he said inwardly. "Okay, bye." she said. "Alright." he said and walked to the enterance wher Olanike was waiting for him. "Hey, sorry, i kept you waiting." he said apologetically. "Oh! No, i just finishe what i was doing." she said smiling. "Okay. Let's go." he said and they both walked down the stairs leading to the tarred road which surrounded the football pitch in silence. "And who was that girl?" referring to Jummy.she asked breaking the silence. --to be continued--

Episode 14 - "And, who was that girl?" she asked breaking the silence. "Oh! That girl. She is Jummy." he said. "Jummy is her name?" she asked. As he was about to reply, he heard his name being called. Which made him stop and could see Jummy running towards them. She caught up with them in no time. "Let's go. I am going the same way with you guys." she said. "Ok, no problem." segun said as they resumed walking. "Hi." she greeted Nike. "hi". Nike replied. "My name is Jummy." she said. "I am Nike." "It's nice meeting you." Jummy said smiling. "The pleasur is mine." Nike replied. They continued walking as Jummy tried engaging Segun in some dry discussions but Segun expertly changed the topic so as to carry Olanike along. They got to the bus-stop where Segun will board a bus going to Iwo-road and Nike will cross to the other side to get to the GRA while Jummy will also cross to the other side to get to Ikolaba grammar school(Omolayo's centre) very close to the GRA. "Bye." Segun greeted before hopping into a but that will convey him home. "Bye." they both replied in unison. Jummy and Nike walked towards Ikolaba grammar school before Nike diverted towards the GRA, where she lived. Segun got home late in the evening and was suprised to see his big bro around. "Bro Tope, good evening." he greeted. "Wassup bro. He replied extending his hand for a handshake. "Am good o." he replied collecting the handshake. --to be continued--

Episode 15 - "how was your exams?" he asked. "It was good." segun replied. "Success." he prayed. "Amen. How was school?" segun asked. "school dey o." he replied. "that's good to hear." segun said. "How are your girlfriends?" he asked jokingly. "Girlfriend ke?" he said laughing out loud as he ran up the stairs. He finished eating and went into his brother's room directly opposite his and they began gisting. They gisted about so many things ranging from school life, sports, cars, girls and their favourites music. They both slept around 11:30pm. "Thank God i have a big and experienced bro when it comes to girls. I'll seek his advice based on the issue at hand." he thought before he laid down to sleep. The next day he hung out with his brother as the both visited old friends before they called it a day at his brother's girlfriend's place. By the time he got home, he was so tired that he didn't bother about his dinner before he slept off. SATURDAY MORNING Segun woke up very early on saturday and got prepared for the day's paper, mathematics. He took his bath and dressed in a black long sleeves fitted shirt on a brown chinos trouser and a black snickers. At exactly 8:05AM he got to his centre's bus-stop. Instead of walking the remaining distance, he decided to take a bike. He got there five minutes later and settled down inside the hall. As he tried putting finishing touches to the aspect of construction. "Hey." Olanike greeted. "Hi." he replied. "How are you?" she asked. "Am good." he replied. "The mathematician." she said laughing. He chuckled a little then said. "It is a lie o." "How far with your preparation?" she asked. "It has been superb. Let them bring anything, they are gone." he bragged. "That's nice." "What's the matter?" segun asked immediately he noticed the change in her countenance. "Nothing. It's just that i don't know what to write in this paper." she said. "Why. Didn't you prepare?" he asked. "No, am not that good in mathematics and am unsure of my abilities in this particular paper." she said. "Don't worry, i know what to do." he assured her. "How do you intend doing that?" she asked. "I'll sit beside you during the paper." he said. "Segun. Am not in support of it. That's malpractice." she opposed. "But you said you are not good in it. Do you plan failing the paper?" he asked. "No, but........." she was saying before he cut in. "I'll sit beside you today nd nothing will go wrong." he assured her. --to be continued--

EPISODE 16 "I'll sit with you and nothing will go wrong." he said assuringly. "Okay. But firsty explain probability to me." she said. He opened his textbook and started the explanation. Within 15minutes, she had known the rudiments and likely questions on probability. 9:05AM The invigillator distributed the question papers and the answer booklet for the theory section. They were asked to answer nine questions out of fifteen. Segun started working the the questions and within the first one hour he was able to answer six questions while his temporary seatmate, Olanike was able to answer three on her own. Segun did the last three questions including the construction and he allowed her to copy his answers. She didn't bother copying the construction because it is very difficult to copy succesfully. She succesfully answered eight questions while segun answered the required nine. Which guaranteed them of passing the paper. 11:30AM The invigillator collected the answer booklet and gave them a three hours break as stipulated in the timetable. Segun and Olanike got out of the hall at the same time and they went to a nearby snacks shop where they bought a meat pie each and a can malt each. The bill settled by Segun. Nike kept on thanking him foor the snacks and most especially the mathematics paper he helped her with. They walked aimlessly around the school compound for some time before segun suggested they go to a nearby centre where his friends are writing their exams. -to be continued--

Episode 17 "so where should we go?" she asked. "Ikolaba grammar school." segun suggested. "Do you have friends there?" she asked. "Yeah." he replied. "But, am afraid o." she said. "Why?" he asked. "Emma is writing his exams there." she warned. "Forget about him, nothing will go wrong." he assured. "Okay." she replied. They got to the main road and boarded a bike and off they went to Ikolaba. They got to the front gate of the school and segun brought out his phone and called Mike. "Hello." segun said immediately Mike picked the call. "Hello. Where are you?" Mike asked. "I'm in front of the gate." segun answered. "Okay. Am coming. What are you wearing?" Mike asked. "You might not notice me but am with a girl dressed in a yellow gown top and a black leggings." segun described. "Nike abi?" Mike asked. "Yeah." Segun answered. Segun dropped the call and turned to Nike. "He'll soon be here." "Okay." Nike replied. "Let's go somewhere he could easily pick us." Segun said. They both walked towards a fig tree opposite the gate, when they both sighted Emmanuel and six other guys coming towards them. "Let get out of here." Nike said fearfully. "We are not going anywhere." Segun said. "Segun please don't fight them." she advised. "I won't. You know am outnumbered." Segun said. Emma and his boys Joined them in no time. "Hey boy." Emma greeted. "How far." Segun replied. "What are you doing with the girl." A member of the gang Tony asked. "Which girl?" Segun asked. "My girlfriend." Emma said. "Your girlfriend." Segun asked irritatedly. "Go down on your knees." Episode 18 Another member usman removed a dagger from his pocket and showed segun. Segun was scared. "Guys please, we can settle this peacefully." he pleaded. "Who are your guys?" Usman barked moving towards him but he moved back. All these Nike was pleading with them and telling Segun to obey them. To which they all paid less attention to. Segun studied the guys properly, they were all dressed in red T- shhrts and black jean. Segun sensed cultism. Segun discovered they had attracted onlookers. "Okay please lets leave this open space." Segun said. Immediately usman tried hitting him with the dagger but segun was fast enough to hold him as he head butted him on the chest as he reeled in pain backwards. The rest of the squad excluding Emmanuel attacked him as they pushed him to the ground and started hitting him. Olanike was begging Emmanuel not minding the onlookers. "What's going on there?" Micheal asked. "Who are you?" Tony yelled. "You dey craze. What are you doing to the boy?" Akin a well built boy with thick voice asked angrily.(he was also Segun's friend). Then the battle began, the two squads faced each other, within a short period of time, it seems like Segun's team are leading because Emma's team boys are begging for their lives before the school security men disengaged them. Emma and his guys left in annoyance but not after promising Segun a rematch. Segun sustained a number of injuries as he was bleeding. Having watched the whole drama Omolayo and Jummy pushed their way out of the crowd as they came to segun's aid by applying some first aid drugs on the wounds. "Segun. Are you alright?" Omolayo asked. "Yeah. Am okay." segun replied. "Let me help you with water." Nike said as she tried removing a bottled water from her school bag. "No, don't bother yourself." Omolayo said and looked at her murdrously before she hissed. Segun and his friends walked round the school, leaving Olanike, Jummy and Omolayo behind. By the time they arrived Olanike was nowhere to be found. Segun dialled her number but his calls were rejected. He left ikolaba and went back to his centre only to see Olanike alight from a bike. He ran to her but she walked into the school compound. There he met Caleb, his seatmate. "Hey, shegzy." Caleb greeted. "How far." he replied. "What happened to you in Ikolaba?" Caleb asked. "I'll tell you later." Segun told him as he ran past him in chase of Olanike. "Bad news spread faster than good news." he thought to himself.

Episode 19 Segun ran after Nike as she increeased her pace. "Nike... Nike..," he called as he ran. She ignored him and entered the exam hall but took the other exit and got out again to the back of the hall. Segun entered the hall and couldn't find her. He asked the candidates in the hall but they all claimed they saw no one. He got out and began searching for her. He saw her afar, seated in a deserted part of the school. He ran towards her. "Nike, what's wrong with you?" he asked angrily. "Did i tell you anything is wrong with me?" she replied. He walked up to her and held her hand as she made to leave. "Are you crying?" he asked got no answer. Getting fed up of the whole situation. "Okay, why did you leave Ikolaba without telling me?" he asked. "Ask your cousin." she replied. "Omolayo! What did she do to you?" he asked as he made her to seat down. "You need to see how she blasted me. Saying i am a slut who gets involved with cultist and then decided to put an innocent guy like you into trouble by forcing myself on you." she explained. "Am very sorry about that." he apologised. "It's okay." she said. "Let's get back to the hall, so we can settle down before the paper commences." he advised. "Okay." she said as she stood up and followed him. "Can yo do this paper on your own?" he asked. "Yes. I'll try." she replied. "Are you sure?" he asked. "Yes." she replied. "Okay." "And am very sorry for all i put you through today." she apologised. "Oh! It's nothing." he assured her. They both entered the examination hall five minutes after the commencement of the paper. "Where are you two coming from?" the invigillator asked. "Sir, we don't know the paper had already started." Segun replied. "You are silly. Don't you know the break is over?" The man asked. "Sir, its not yet 2.30pm. Which means the paper is not yet supposed to start." He defended. "Look at this boy. Bastard son of a thousand fathers." the man said. "Point of corrections sir. I am not a bastard and you have no right to call me one." he replied rudely. In a blink of an eye the invigillator had slapped him. He wanted to retaliate but Nike held him back. "Segun don't try it." she warned. "I am old enough to be your father. So don't dare try rubbish with me." the man warned. "You can never be my father." segun said angrily. "please sir, we are very sorry for coming back late. We thought the paper will start by 2.30. Nike explained kneeling down. "God bless you my daughter. I'll allow you to write the paper for your sake." he said as he gave them the objective question paper and the OMR sheet. "Thank you sir." Nike said. Segun walked to his seat angrily and left Nike with the old man. Nike begged on segun's for sometime before the invigillator told her to go. --to be continued--

Episode 20 Segun got back to his seat and began shading the answers on the OMR sheet. In less than thirty minutes he was through with the paper. He looked around the hall and discovered he was the first person to finish. "Some people are so dull. Look at them; battling with these cheap questions." he thought and smiled. He rested his head on the locker. He looked up about fifteen minutes later to see that just half of the class were still writing. He copared his question paper with that of Caleb to know if he was given the exact question paper. THIRTY MINUTES LATER, every candidates submitted their OMR sheets including segun. He want outside to wait for Olanike but she called him back. "Segun. Please wait." she said pleadingly. He stopped and looked at her. "Yes, what is it?" he asked. "Let's go and beg that man." she said. "Which man?" he asked. "The invigillator of course." she replied. He hissed angrily. "And why should i beg him?" he asked. "You know he can write a report about us, which could affect our results." she explained. "It can't." he said. "And what gave you the assurance that it can't?" she asked. "Based on what i did in the papers will make Waec have a rethink." he bragged. "Segun let's go and beg him." she commanded. "Am not going anywhere." he replied. "Segun!" She called him. "I'll be waiting for you outside." he said and walked down the stairs. She went back inside the hall. "Excuse me sir." she said. "What can i do for you?" the invigillator asked. "Please sir. I came to beg you." she said kneeling down. "You don't need that." the man said. "I need to, so that you won't write report about us." she explained. "I actually thought about writing a report, but for your sake. I didn't." he said. "Thank you very much sir." she said. "Stand up." he said helping her up. "Thank you sir." she said again. "You are such a good girl. What's your name?" he asked. "Olanike sir." "Keep up your good morals." he advised. "Okay sir." "You better advise your boyfriend. He lack morals and he is proud. That will take him nowhere." he advised. "Okay sir." she helped him carry the sack containing the answer booklets to his car. She dropped the sack on the back seat and turned to leave. "Are you going towards the GRA? So i can give you a ride?" he asked. "no, don't worry sir." she said curtly. The invigillator drove off and Nike started walking towards the main road. Segun ran after her. "Nike! Why can't you tell me you are ready?" he asked. She ignored him and stopped a bike. "Nike!?" he shouted. "I don't make friends with people like you. You are too proud and temperamental for my likening. Try and check yourself. Then you become my friend. Mind you, you lack morals. Good bye." she said as she mounted the bike and the bikeman zoomed off leaving him stunned and suprised. --to be continued--

Episode 21 "This girl is really crazy. Imagine how she was talking to me. Afterall, i was the one that helped her in her papers. She's not even my type. She must be mad." he said. He stopped a bike and off he went. He got home and noticed his father's car was parked outside. He did a sign of cross before entering. "Good evening dad." he greeted postrating. "The fighter." his father said. He made to leave for his room. "Come back here." his father commanded. He stopped in his track and faced his angry father. "How much did you purchase this exam form?" his father asked. "Ten thousand naira sir." he replied. "So are you writing the exam or you are busy chasing useless girls?" the man asked. "Am writing the exam." "Then why did you fight today?" "Me!?.... Fight?..." He asked feigning innocence. "Are you okay? Kneel down there." He obeyed his father instantly going down on his knees. "Answer my questions now or never." his father shouted. "I didn't fight. Some guys actually attacked me." he defended. "And what was your offence?" his father asked. "I don't know." he said. His father slapped him angrily. "Who the hell is Olanike?" his father asked. "She is a girl in my centre." he replied. "Are you there to make friends?" "No." he answered. "So, why on earth are you making friends with some useless girls who add no value to your life? Or do you now have a girlfriend?" "No. But dad......" "Shut up." his father cut him short. "Dad! What's going on?" his brother Tope asked. "Your brother is now having girlfriends. He was beaten because of a girl today." "How did you know that?" tope asked. "A spy actually told me." their father replied. "A spy?" Tope asked suprised. "Yes. I have someone monitoring his movements." their dad replied. "Segun, is it true that you now have girlfriends?" Tope asked. "No bro, she is just a friend." Segun replied. "A friend! Are you there to make friends?" "Dad it's normal for students to make friends during exams like this." Tope explained. "Not at this age. They are too young to have positive influence on themselves." their father said. "He is sixteen." Tope said. "He is still a bloody teenager." their father yelled. "Okay Dad. Can he go and freshen up so that he can relax?" Tope requested. "Get out of my sight." their father commanded segun. "Thank you sir." Segun said. "Give me your phone. Come back for it after your exams." their father said. He handed his phone to him but not after removing his sim cards. He got into his room opened his wardrobe and brought out his second phone and inserted his sim cards. "Who the hell could have told this man about Nike?" he thought angrily. "I need to find out who the person is. And if i get him or her. People will cry." he said angrily hitting his fist against the wall. Episode 22 MONDAY 9:50AM Segun left home for his centre, for the day's paper, Government scheduled for 11AM. He got into a commercial bus and off he went to Loyola College. A dark girl was seated beside him in the bus. The girl was drinking a canned orange juice. The bus galloped which made the drink to spill on segun. "Oh my God! Please am very sorry." She apologised as she quickly removed a handkerchief from her purse. He collected it from her and cleaned himself but the stain refused to go. Segun was dressed in a white T- shirt and a blue jean. "It's nothing." Segun said faking a smile even though he was angry. "Please don't be annoyed." She said. "No problems." segun assured. "Okay." she replied. The journey continued in silence except for the noise generated by other passengers and the bus conductor. "You are Segun right?" she asked. "Yeah. How did you know my name?" segun replied with a question. "Aren't you the one who had issues with the invigillator on saturday?" she asked. "Yes i am." he replied. "I overheard your name from Nike." she informed. "How did you know Nike." he asked. "She was my friend." she informed. "Was?" he asked. "Yeah." she replied. "What went wrong?" he asked. "She turned against me when she started seeing Emmanuel." she explained. "And why was that?" Segun asked. "I was against the relationship because the guy is a pretender. He has a gentle face but a dangerous heart." she said. "Oh! I see." He replied. "I learnt he attacked you when you went to Ikolaba?" she asked. "Yes." he replied. "Please try and avoid him. He can kill." she warned. "Okay." Segun replied. They both got down from the bus when they got to the bus- stop. They crossed the road and started walking towards their centre. "What do you think now that the students had resumed from holiday?" she asked expertly changing the topic. "Everything will be clumsy. Even their noise tends to disturb the exam." he replied. "Thank God the exam is almost over." she replied. They continued walking in silence until they got in Loyola college. "Let's get our biometrics done." Tola said. "Alright." he replied. They both walked towards the exam hall. Nike was seated on the stairs reading a textbook. There was a glint of jealousy in her eyes. Segun walked past her without greeting or uttering a word. Teenage Love Episode 23 "You didn't greet her?" Tola asked. "Yes." Segun replied nonchalantly. "Why?" she asked. "We had a slight misunderstanding." he said. "About what?" "The invigillator's issue. He picked it up and read. "The battle is still on." He tore the paper and threw it away. "These guys are really crazy." he thought. He sat down and did his last minutes revision. The invigillator came in and distributed the question and answer booklet. Segun started providing answers to the question. He finished the theory section and the objective (OMR)sheet was shared an hour later. They all submitted the OMR sheet fourty-five minutes later and the students trooped out of the hall. Segun got outside and switched on his phone. A message came in. He read the message as he walked and didn't face where he was going. He bumped into Olanike and his phone fell down. "hey." she greeted smilling. "hello." he replied without facing up. He picked up his phone, cleaned it with the tip of his shirt. He made to walk away. "Segun." she called holding him. He looked at her with a "what is your problem?" look. "What's going on?" she asked. "About what?" he replied with a question. "why are you doing this to me?" she asked. "You asked me to." he replied. "That's a lie." she replied. "I don't deserve ur frienship in terms of morals." Segun countered. "I don't mean what i said on saturday." she defended. "Okay. No problems." he assured. Episode 24 Segun left his centre and decided to branch his school. He boarded a bus and dropped in his bus- stop. He took a turning to the left and walked to the end of the street where his school Brights Comprehensive High school was located. He got to the school gate but was denied enterance by the school security man who demanded to know who he was. "I am a student of this school." he said. "Let me see your I.D card." the man requested. "what nonsense, i have every right to enter into this school anytime." he said. "What's going on there?" Mr Adio the school's vice principal asked. "Sir, this boy said he is a student of this school but he couldn't produce his I.D card." the security man explained. "Which boy?" Mr Adio said moving close to the school gate. "Good afternoon sir." Segun greeted. "Ah! It's you Segun? How are you. Let him in." Mr Adio said. "Okay sir." the security man said. "This is Segun, the school disciplinary prefect." Mr segun told the security man. "Okay sir." Mr Adio and Segun walked back into the school chatting like old friends. They walked past the junior classes and the students began hailling Segun. The vice principal took him to his office before taking him to the staff room where he was introduced to the new teachers. He left and went to his class where he went to greet his classmate who are not writing the ongoing exam. He narrated his experience to them. Ranging from the candidates, the invigillators, the sexy girls and many more. He left the school thirty minutes to the closing time and went home. He got home and met his brother and his friend Wale in the sitting room playing a game of football on his brother's laptop. "Hello bros." he greeted. "How are you boy?" Tope asked. "Bro Wale." he called on his brother's friend. "wassup aburo." Wale asked. "Am good jare." he replied. "How was your paper." they both asked. "It was fine." he replied. "How are your girlfriends?" Wale asked. "They are doing good." he answered. "Tell me, is it true you are dating Olanike?" Wale asked. He looked at his brother but got a wink in reply. "Not really." he replied. Episode 25 Segun picked the call while his brothers edged him on. "Hello." segun greeted. "I thought you wouldn't pick my call." She said. "Why won't i pick you call?" Segun asked. "Hmmmm." "what's that?" Segun asked. "Are you at home?" Segun inquired. "Yes and why do you ask?" She said. "Just want to know your are safe." Segun replied. "Hmmmmm. That's nice of you." She complimented. "See you tomorrow." Segun said. "Alright." The phone clicked at the other end and Segun pocketted his phone. "my brother is coward." Tope mocked. "Hit the nail on the head and stop beating around the bush." Wale said. "It's not what you guys think." Segun defended. The front door opened and Mary entered. "Good afternoon." she greeted Tope and wale. "How are you?" they both chorused. "Am fine." she replied. "Mary, am i too small or i don't deserve your greeting?" Segun asked. "So it can pain you also." she mocked. "What is it?" Segun asked angrily. "When you came to school today. Did you greet me?" She asked. "Why are you acting like a kid? We both left the house this morning, and i see no sense in me greeting you in class. Moreso, you know how much i despise your class." Segun explained. "Okay. Good afternoon." Mary greeted. There was a knock on the door. Mary went for it. "Good afternoon." Mary greeted the person. "Please i seek for Segun." she said. Segun heard his name being called. Episode 26 "Jummy. What are you doing here?" Segun asked. "Is that a welcome." she asked. "Answer my question." segun thundered. "Good afternoon sirs." she said greeting Tope and Wale. "yeah. Good afternoon. How are you?" they both chorused. "Am fine o." she replied. "What's your own name?" Tope asked. "My name is Jummy." she replied. "I am Tope and my friend here is Wale." Tope said. "It's nice meeting you guys." she said. "The pleasure is mine." Tope replied. Segun stood at the entrance looking at his brother and the unexpected visitor. "Have your sit." Mary said before leaving the sitting room to change from her school uniform. "Thanks." Jummy replied. "Are you guys classmates?" Tope asked. "No, we met at the centre." She replied. "So, how did you know he lived here?" Tope asked. "I got the description from Omolayo(his cousin)." she replied. "Oh! I see." Tope said. "I just decided to suprise him with this visit." Jummy said smilling. "That's nice." Wale said. "won't you entertain your guest and stop looking like you've seen a ghost." Wale said as everyone bursted into laughter. Mary came out with a photo album and a fashion magazine. On a tray lays a soft drink bottle and a glass cup. She drew a stool closer and dropped them there. She sat down beside jummy and they got talking. She began telling her things about the photos and they clicked real good. Segun went inside his room and put a call through to Akin(his classmate. One of the guys that helped him fight against Emma and his gang). He explained his ordeal to him and Akin told him what to do. He came outside and went close to Jummy. He began acting normal and he took her by the hand as they both went outside. He showed her round the compound and they ended the journey in the garden very close to the kitchen. "Jummy." He called. "Yes." she answered. "What do we gain from this friendship?" he asked. "I don't get you." she replied. "Why don't we take this friendship to another level?" he explained. "What are you insinuating?" she asked feigning ignorance. "Jummy. Do you accept me as your boyfriend?" he asked kneeling down. "Yes!" she said in excitement as they both hugged themselves real tight. Jummy left towards evening after she bade Wale, Tope, and Mary goodbye. Segun saw her off to the bus-stop and waited till the bus was out of sight. "Now i am in love. To hell with Olanike." he said happily.

Episode 27 Segun woke up early tuesday morning and dressed up. He went into the dining room and ate the breakfast with every member of the family. He finished eating and left for his centre. He removed his phone and dialled Jummy's number. She picked the call after the first ring. "Hello angel." he greeted. "Sweetheart, good morning." she replied. "How was your night?" Segun asked. "It was fine and yours?" she asked. "Not bad." segun replied. "Did you dream about me?" she asked. "Yeah. Where are you?" he asked in reply. "Am at the bus-stop. What about you?" She asked. "Give me fifteen minutes and i'll be there with you." he said. "Don't keep me waiting o." she said. "Alright ma'am." He said and she bursted into laughter. He hurried into a waiting bus and off he went. THIRTY MINUTES LATER Segun got out of the bus and walked towards wema bank where Jummy was standing. "hey!" He called looking apologetically. "Don't greet me o." she replied faking anger. "Did i keep you waiting?" He asked innocently. "No o, you didn't." she replied hitting him playfully on the shoulder. "Lets go." Segun said. They walked hand in hand towards their exam centre. They got into Loyola college chatting happily like new couples(which they truely were). They walked accross the football pitch and found Emma and his guys seated under a tree. The guys stood up and blocked their way. Jummy shivered in fright. "Hey guys. I don't have time for all these." he said. "You don't have time when you snatched my girlfriend abi." Emma said. "But you broke up with her yourself." Segun defended. "Are you mad?" Emma yelled at him. "No, i am not." Segun replied with confidence. "Oya bring you wallet and your wristwatch and we'll let you go." Tony said. Episode 28 Emma move towards but segun was fast enough to knock him out of the way. He told Jummy to run. He moved to the second guy and knocked him out in a simillar manner thanks to 'ray mysterio's' smack downs. He was overpowered by the third guy who hit him with a stick on his head. He fell down and felt like passing out but gathered enough strength as he stood up and ran for his dear life. The guys pursued him as they ran towards the exam hall. Segun sensed the danger in running into the exam hall because that was where Jummy ran to quickly diverged in his tracks and ran towards the School chapel. He jumped a flower lawn and climed the stairs and descended through the other side, he was in the junior school. Emma and his guys turned back when the discovered they has lost him. Segun adjusted his clothes and walked back to the examination hall. He found Jummy on the stairs. "Jummy." he called. She stood up and hugged him happily. "Are you okay?" "Yes i am." he replied. "Hope they didn't hurt you? Oh my God, your head is swollen. She was massaging the swollen part with her hands. Nike ascended the stairs and found the two of them standing. She made to walk past them. "Nike. Good morning." Segun greeted. "Good morning." she greeted dryly and left them in their embrace. Jummy hissed loud enough for her to hear. "Why did you do that?" Segun asked. "I hate that girl." Jummy replied. "But why?" Segun asked. "She is a devil. Look at what she has used her waywardness to inflict on you." Jummy said pointing to his wounds. Episode 29 After the paper Segun waited for Jummy outside the exam hall. Nike hurriedly came out and walked towards Segun. She handed him an envelope and waited for his reaction. Segun opened it and discovered it was an invitation card to her birthday party on the 4th of October. "Will you come?" She asked. "Yes, i will." he replied. "I'll really appreciate it." she said. Jummy came outside and joined them. "Baby let's go." she said. "I'll be with you shortly." he said. "See you later." she said. "Alright." Segun said and walked to where Jummy was standing. "What's that?" Jummy asked. "Invitation card." he replied. "For what?" she asked. "Birthday party." he replied. "do u plan on attending?" "Yes, i will." segun answered. "But what is so special in that girl." Jummy asked. "There is nothing special in her, She is my friend and i have to support her on her birthday." "Let go on a date on that day." Jummy said. "No problem, provided you'll follow me to her birthday." he said. "No way, am i going to her birthday." she replied. "Then we go on no date." he said. "I know you love that girl." she said angrily. Segun was suprised at her sudden outburst. Jummy walked away angrily, leaving Segun behind. Segun didn't bother going after her. "Segun, what's the matter?" Nike asked from behind. "Nothing. Its just a little misunderstanding." segun replied. "Hope its not about my invitation. Because i can hear you talk about going somewhere." She said. "Its not about your invitation." segun said. They continued walking towards the main road. "So, how was your paper?" segun asked expertly changing the topic. "It was good." she replied. They got to the bus-stop where they will go their seperate ways. "See you tomorrow." she said. "yeah, Biology practicals right?" he asked. "Yes." Episode 30 Segun got home and took a shower. He laid down to sleep when his phone beeped. It was a message from Odunayo(one of the girls in his class) requesting him to join them in Titilayo's(the school's head/senior girl) house. He hurriedly changed his clothed to a blue long sleeves shirt over a black versace pant trouser and a black vickers. He picked his wrapped gift and kept it inside a fancy polythene back. He got out of the house, put on his sunshade and off he left for titi's house. He got to the front gate and saw an inscription "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO TITILAYO." He went inside and saw all members of his class chilling and having fun. Pamilerin(the social prefect) was the M.C. "Now let us welcome our brother, the disciplinarian and the sportman, Shegzy." pamilerin said. Everybody present stood up and gave him a standing ovation. Segun felt on top of the world. He went to the designated stage where he shook hands with the m.c and went to the high table where the celebrant and the vips were seated. He hugged Titilayo and he took a snapshot with her. He sat down on the hightable where all other prefects were seated. They enjoyed themselves till late in the evening when everyone started going home. Segun went to present his gift to the celebrant when he saw Emma and his guys taking photographs with Titilayo. "Segun. Meet my cousin Emmanuel. Emmanuel meet my friend Segun." she introduced. Emma moved forward and Segun moved towards him. Hatred clearly written on their faces. "We can't fight here. But we'll see ourselves in a more isolated area where no one will separate us." Episode 31 Segun got home and met Mike and Mary at the gate. They were holding themselves in an embrace manner. They quickly adjusted when they saw Segun from afar. Segun pretended like he didn't see them. "Hey man." Mike greeted. "Wassup." Segun replied. "Welcome bro. How was the party?" Mary asked. "It was fine." Segun replied. "But what kept you long?" Mike asked. "I was chilling with some friends. But why did you leave that early?" Segun asked Mike. "Mum called, so i had to leave." Mike replied. "I guess i have to get going." mike informed. Segun went inside leaving Mary and Mike outside. Mary came inside five minutes later. Segun was eating in the dining. She walked straight to her room without uttering a word. Segun stood up and went after her. He opened the door to her room. Mary was afraid but kept her cool. "Mary." he called her. "Yes." she answered. "I want to ask you a question, please don't lie to me." Segun begged. "What is it?" she asked. "What's going on between you and Mike?" he asked. "Nothing. He actually came searching for you this evening but i kept his company while you are away." she explained. "Mary, don't tell me that. Mike left the party before me, so he knew i was still there. Which means something is going on between you two." Segun said angrily. "Why shouting on me? He is my boyfriend. Period!" she shouted at him. Segun angrily slapped her which sent her rolling on the floor crying. Segun knew he had done the wrong thing left her room angrily. Mary stood up and made her way to the bathroom where she rinsed her face. Segun's fingers was showing on her face. She laid on the bed covered herself with a blanket and cried herself to sleep. Segun got into his room sat down on his reading table. He stood up and went out again. He switched on the generator and went back into his room. "Why is everything going wrong today?" he asked himself as he picked up his phone and dialled Jummy's number. "Hello." he said immediately she picked up. "Segun." she called his name. "baby please am sorry. I ought to have called earlier but i had to go somewhere important." he apologised. "Segun. So, a birthday party is more important than me. Why are you threading on my emotions." she said trying to hold back tears. "Am very sorry." he replied. "No problem." she replied. "Goodnight. Love you." he said. "Love you too." she replied. Segun dropped the phone and tried reading his books but couldn't concentrate. His phone rang a few minutes later, he discovered it was Titilayo(the celebrant). She called to appreciate his presence and his gift. They talked at lenght before she asked about the feud between him and Emmanuel. Segun sweet-talked her into believing that its just guys thing. She bade him a good night and ended the call. Segun recieved another call towards midnight from Mike. --to be continued--

Episode 32 Segun picked the call and waited until Mike greeted him. "Hello." Mike greeted. "What's the matter?" Segun asked. "What ordercity do you have to lay your hands on my girlfriend?" Mike shouted. "Excuse me, she is my sister." Segun replied. "And that does not give you the authority to beat her, moreso, she is matured enough to make decisions on her own." Mike explained angrily. "I don't want to see you with her again. She can't have anything to do with you rascal." Segun concluded. "If not that you are silly. You are chasing Jummy, Nike and Tolani at the same time. Don't you know they have brother who can tell you back off." Mike explained. "Whatever. Just stay away from her." Segun advised. "And what if i don't?" Mike dared him. "You'll regret ever asking her out." Segun informed. "Mind what you say man." Mike yelled. "Do your worst." Segun dared him. They both exchanged harsh and abusive words for the next five minutes before Mike ended the call. Segun angrily left for the sitting room, switched on a ps2 game console, selected a football game and inflicted his anger on the teams he played against. He went to bed reminiscencing over the events of the day. He concluded he had a bad day. 6:50AM THE NEXT DAY. Segun left the sitting room after the morning devotion and went into his room. He did some working out. He came out and went into Mary's room. Mary was adjusting her school uniform as she looked in the mirror. "You look good this morning." Segun complimented. She kept quiete but smiled. "Thank God, i made her smile." he thought to himself. "Mary. Am sorry for what happened yesterday. I guessed i overreacted." he apologised. "It's okay." She replied smilling. "But Mary tell me the truth, do you love eachother?" he asked. "Yes i love him and am sure he loves me too." she said. "I'll advice you to take your time in knowing if he truely loves you, because i know my friend. He might be playing games on you. And you know i love you, i don't want you to be heartbroken." Segun explained. "Okay....... I have to go." She said as she carried her schoolbag and hurriedly ran to join her father in the car. Segun got into his room feeling fufilled. Let me see what i can do before it is 12 o'clock. He went to the kitchen dished his breakfast and ate it as fast as he could. He took his bath and sat down answering past biology practical questions. He did that for the next two hours before he heard a knock on the gate. He went outside and opened the square shaped opening on the iron gate. He opened the gate and lo and behold......was standing. Episode 33 Segun opened the gate and found Emma and his guys standing, looking mean and filled with rage. They advanced towards him as he tried to lock the gate but they overpowered him. They kicked, beat and hit him with various weapons, he sustained so many injuries. After beating him to their satisfaction they left him. He tried standing up but he passed out. ONE HOUR LATER Jummy got down from the bike and walked towards Segun's house. She got to the gate and met the gate opened. She peeped inside and saw Segun's figure lying unconsciously at a corner. She dropped her bag and ran towards him, she shook him vigorously crying. She felt his heartbeat and she quickly ran towards the garden where she picked bucket, she filled it with water and sprinkled it on his face. He came back to life but was unaware of the situation. He could only remember seeing Emmanuel befor he passed out. Jummy took him inside and laid him on a three seater chair. She went into the kitchen based on his directives and got some painkilling drug. She gave it to him, and went back to prepare him a hot tea. Segun felt better after sometimes and thanked jummy for her kindness. "Will you be able to go for you exam today?" Jummy asked with concern. "I'll go." he said standing up and he went to dress up. They left the house after sometime and off they went to their centre. They alighted from the bus and they walked into Loyola college. Segun walked to his seat and sat down putting his head on the locker. "Segun. Are you okay?" Nike asked. "Yes i am. It's just that i am a little bit weak." Segun replied. "I was scared because it is unusual of you to be quiete......" she was saying before Jummy slapped her from behind. "What are you looking for? You want to know if your thugs did their work perfectly abi? You slut." Jummy rained abuses on her. "Jummy what is your problem?" segun asked standing up. "My problem? She is my problem." Jummy said angrily as she move toward Nike. Nike took a step backward and hid behind Segun. Segun stopped her from doing anything. "Nike, am very sorry." Segun said as he held her and took her to her seat. Jummy stood at a spot and was looking at them with fury. "Am i with the right guy? Imagine my boyfriend going against me in public." she thought. Episome 34 Segun walked back to his seat and met Jummy standing. "Baby, am sorry." she apologised. He looked at her with contempt, ignored her and sat down. She sat down beside him and held hand. "Baby am sorry." she said. "But why would you humilliate the poor girl?" he asked. "Segun, try and understand me. See what those guys did to you. If you keep on being friends with her you are putting yourself into more danger." she lectured. "Okay. I've heared you." he said. "Promise me you'll distance yourself from her." she said. "I can't promise but i'll try and reduce my closeness." he replied. The invigillator came in and distributed the question paper and the answer sheet. They began writing. TWO HOURS LATER. Segun came out of the exam hall holding hands with Jummy. "Baby, come and know my house today." she said pleadingly. "Today? I don't have much time to spare." he replied. "Just twenty minutes. I promise i won't take your time." She said. "Okay." he replied as they both walked out of the school compound and headed towards Jummy's place along bestway. They got there in no time and saw no one at home. They hunged out till around 6pm when it dawned on Segun that he was in for it today. He hurriedly left for home bearing it at the back of his mind that he is in a great trouble. He got home knocked on the gate and Mary came to open for him. He entered and saw his father's car parked. Episode 35 Segun walked into his father's room and waited for him. Twenty minutes later his father came inside looking angry. "Why did you come late." The man asked. "I was stucked up in a traffic jam." he lied. "That means i flew home back from office, that was why i didn't witness hold up." The man said. "I took another route." he explained. The man went out angrily and entered with a leather belt. He commanded Segun to lie down on his stomach. Without complain, Segun obeyed his father. "Daddy, you have a call." Mary said knocking on the door. He opened the door, collected the phone and picked the call. He spoke on the phone for the next ten minutes keeping an eye on the criminal before him. He dropped the call and gave Segun twenty two lashes. He told him to remain on his knees and carry a stool on his hands. Segun's phone rang, but he pretended as if he didn't hear. His father commanded him to pick the call and put it on loudspeaker. "Hello sweetheart are you home?" Jummy asked from the other end. Segun looked at his father but got a smile in return. "Yeah, am home." he replied. "Okay. I just want to comfirm." she said. "Okay, good night." Segun said "Love you." she replied. Segun quickly ended the call and waited for his father's judgement now that he knew that he had a girlfriend. But was suprised when his father told him to go to his room. "Go to your room, loverboy." His father said jokingly. Segun stood up and left for his room thinking maybe his father did not hear what Jummy said to him. "Wonders shall never end sha. Episode 36 Segun got into his room, undressed and went into the bathroom to take his bath. He came out, took his phone opened his whatsapp and chat with his online friends. As at the time he logged out he had another verbal combat with Mike. He laid down to sleep but was interrupted by a kock on his door. He sluggishly stood up and opened the door and their stood his Father and mother. He opened the door wider for them and closed the door after they entered. He sensed he is in for hours of councelling. "Segun, Segun, Segun. How many times did i call you?" His mother asked. "Three times." he replied. "I am your mother and i don't want you to make mistakes." she said. He kept his face down. "I want to ask you some questions and i want nothing but the truth." she explained. "Okay, go ahead ma." he replied. "Who is Jummy. I want nothing but the truth." she emphasized. "She is my girlfriend." he replied looking at their faces to know their reaction but was suprised when he saw them smilling. "How old are you?" she asked. He already saw this coming. "Am sixteen." he replied. His father stood up when he became bored of the conversation. "i want to see Jummy and Olanike before this week runs out." she said. He was wondering how his mum got to know about Olanike. "Don't be suprised. I read everything in your diary." She informed. It was then it dawned on him that he had been careless with his things. "Let them see me in my shop and you must be there with them." she said standing up. "Okay ma." he replied. His mother stood up and left his room. He quickly picked up his phone and informed Jummy about the latest development. Jummy was happy that she would be meeting his boyfriend's mum. His phone rang after the call then he discovered it was Nike. "Hello." he greeted. "Segun am very sorry about what Emma did to you today." she said. "It's nothing." he replied. "Are you sure?" she asked. "Yes i am." he replied. "Thanks dear." she responded. "Nike, i want to tell you something." he said. "Go on am listening." "My mum wants to see you in her shop tomorrow." "Me? Hope no problem?" "None at all." "How will i get the place?" she asked. "I will text the address to you." he replied. "Okay." "Goodnight." He said and ended the call. Episode 37 -- Mrs Akinola was seated in her shop giving instructions to her workers. Jummy walked into the shop dressed in a black mini skirt and red top. She walked through the sections of clothes, toys, jewelleries, consumable products and other varieties of goods based on the cashier's directives. "Good afternoon ma." she greeted bending her knees. "Good afternoon my dear." The woman replied giving her a searching look. "It is me, Jummy." "Oh! You are welcome my dear." Mrs Akinola instructed one of her girls to give Jummy a bottle of chilled drink. "So you are my son's girlfriend?" she asked. "Yes ma." Jummy replied smiling. "But don't you think you are too young for that?" she asked. "Yes we are young but we are not going too deep with the relationship." Jummy explained. "Is it a must for you to have a boyfriend now?" "It's not a must but so that we don't have problems with relating in future and to know ourselves better." Jummy explained. "I see." she replied. Mrs Akinola and Jummy were together in her shop talking about relationships and their ups and downs before Olanike arrived. "Good afternoon ma." Nike greeted kneeling down. "Oh! Nike right?" "Yes ma." "you are such a beauty." Mrs Akinola complimented. "Thank you Ma." Nike said kneeling down. "Have your sit." mrs Akinola said pointing to a vacant seat beside where Jummy sat. "Good afternoon." Nike said greeting Jummy. Jummy ignored her and continued playing with her phone. Mrs Akinola noticed the cold atmosphere between them and the jealousy in Jummy's face. She smiled. "Do you know her?" Mrs Akinola asked Nike. "Yes ma." Nike replied. "Who is she to you?" "She is my friend." Nike replied. Jummy raised her head up and looked at Nike with an angry face. "Who is she to Segun?" the woman asked. She never saw that coming. "I don't know but recently i discovered they are much more close." Nike explained. "So there is a possibility that they are dating?" "Yes ma." Jummy's phone rang and she picked it. She dropped the call twenty seconds later. "I have to go ma. My dad wants to see me." "Okay." mrs Akinola replied handing a five hundred naira note to her as transport fare. Jummy left after showing appreciation to segun's mum and ignored Nike's greeting. "That girl doesn't fit my son." Mrs Akinola said to Nike. Nike was suprised and did not know how to reply the woman. Episode 38 Segun got to the exam centre very early in the morning on the 2nd of october (the last day of the examination) He sat down and did his last minutes revision. "Good morning." Nike greeted. "Good morning." he replied. "How was your night?" she asked. "It was fine." he replied. They chatted happily for like twenty minutes before Jummy entered the hall. "I'll see you later." Nike said immediately she sighted Jummy. "But, nobody is sending you away." Segun replied. "I know but i don't want trouble." she explained. Nike left for her seat. Jummy got to Segun's seat angrily. "So you are still seeing this useless girl?" Jummy asked. "Keep your voice down and moreso, am not seeing her." Segun defended. "You finally allowed your mum to make decisions for you." Jummy said. "Don't bring my mum into this." Segun warned. They stood up against themselves before Olanike came between them. "Segun. What's the matter?" Nike asked. "Slut. What's yours in this?" Jummy asked. Nike walked away with tears in her eyes. "How dare you call her slut?" Segun asked but waited for no reply as he ran after Nike. Jummy walked to her seat angrily. Segun apologised to Nike before the invigillator came in and distributed the question paper and the answer booklet. After the paper. Candidates were seen loitering outside jubilating on the completion of the exam. Some were taking pictures while other were exchanging contacts. Segun snapped Nike's pictures and vice versa. Jummy was looking at them from afar with a very angry face. Segun chilled with Nike for some minutes before Emma and his boys numbering up to fourteen showed face. They dragged them to a lonely part of the school. Segun's phone was seized, his wristwatch and his chain. Nike was begging for their safety but the guys ignored her and warned Segun not to move close to Olanike for the rest of his life. Segun voiced out angrily and requested for a man to man combat between him and Emma. They accepted the contest and they were left to battle it out. Segun succeeded in pushing Emma to the ground and was raining lots of punches on him before the other guys joined in support of Emma. Nike seeing that they had dropped the things they seized from them picked it up and took to her heels. Segun managed to stand up and ran away with a series of cuts on him. He took the school's back gate and walked towards the bus-stop where he saw Olanike waiting for him. Seeing him in his injured state. Episode 39 "Did they hurt you?" Nike asked with concern written all over her face. "Not really. I just had some minor cuts." He replied. Nike left him in the sitting room and went into the kitchen to boil water for him so as to press his swollen head. "Ouch." he whinced in pain. "Is it painful?" she asked. "Should i test it on you?" Segun asked scooping water with his hand pouring it on her. "Oh my God! This thing is painful." She said laughing. "So you don't know before." Segun teased her. She gave him some painkillers against his wish but he took them to please her. THIRTY MINUTES LATER. There was a horn outside the gate. Segun was startled. "Who could that be?" he thought. "That should be my dad." Nike said heading outside to welcome her father. "Welcome dad." Nike said hugging her father. "How are you my princess?" he asked. "Am fine. Hope you bought what i asked for?" she asked. "don't you know i came home because of your birthday?" he asked. "I trust you." she replied smiling. "Daddy's girl." Joe the gateman said. "Thank you." she replied playfully. Father and daughter both went inside and met Segun sitting down. Sighting her father, Segun stood up. "Good afternoon sir." Segun prostrated. "Oh! How are you?" he asked. "Am fine sir." Segun replied. "So you are Segun right?" he asked. "Yes sir." Segun replied suprised. He looked at Nike for an answer but got a smile in return. "Enjoy yourself and make yourself comfortable." the man said and headed for his room. "I'll be right back." Nike said following her father. "Okay." Segun replied and sat down. Nike came back and they continued talking about stuffs such as their schools, friends and Emma and Jummy. At exactly 4 o'clock Segun stood up and announced his departure. "Wait and let me tell daddy." Nike said and went back inside. Nike came back and handed one thousand naira to Segun. As Segun was about stepping out of the house Nike's father came to the sitting room. "Hope to see you on thursday." The man said. "Definitely sir." Segun replied. Nike escourted him back to the bus-stop where he'll board a bus to his house. "Take care of your wounds." She advised. "Okay, i will." he answered. "Bye. I'll call you." she said. "Bye." he replied hopping into a bus. Segun got home thirty five minutes later but got the shocker of his life immediately he got into the sitting room. Episode 40 Segun entered the sitting room and met his mother and Jummy seated discussing only God knows what. "Good afternoon mum." he prostrated. "Welcome. How was your paper?" she asked. "It was fine. You didn't go to shop?" he asked. "I had to come back to attend to somethings." she explained. "Okay ma." he said leaving the sitting room. "Segun." his mother called him back. He face her waiting for what she had to say. "Are you blind or you don't see your girlfriend?" she asked. "Girlfriend? I don't think i have one at the moment." he said. "So who is she?" she asked pointing to Jummy. "She is one of those girls i met during the exam." he explained. "Are you alright? So you have started changing girls like you are changing clothes?" she asked. "I am okay." he replied. "Okay. As your mother i hereby command you that you should continue your relationship with Jummy with immediate alacrity." she said angrily. "That's not possible. I own my life and i know what is good for me." he said angrily. "Are you a bastard?" she asked. "That a question for you." he replied. His mother frowned her face. And stood up angrily moving towards him. "Am i the one you are talking to?" she asked. He kept mute to the question. His mother angrily picked up a mug and threw it at him. He quickly dodged it and the mug came crashing on the wall. He quickly ran to his room and shut the door. His mother ran after him and knocked on his door angrily. She walked back to meet Jummy in the sitting room. "Don't worry my dear. He will surely become yours. Tell your mum that everything will be settled." She consoled jummy. "Okay ma." Jummy said and left. Segun overheard all what his mum said to Jummy. "Does that mean that her parents are connected to mine. No way am gonna date such girl. Teenage Love episode 41 Segun came out of his room dressed in a sky blue long sleeves shirt with a black jacket on a black varsace pant trouser and a black paul smith pimpsole shoe. He was looking cute and handsome with his sunshade. He got out into the compound looked at himself in the side mirror of the Nissan Murano parked outside, feeling satisfied with his looks he walked out of the gate and headed towards the junction of his street. He boarded a bus towards Agodi GRA. He dropped in the bus-stop and walked towards the GRA. He got outside the gate and dialled Nike's number. "Hello,where are you?." she said from the other end. "Am at the gate." he informed. Segun could hear her scream and telling some people that he is around. The gate opened and she stepped out. "Happy birthday." he said. "Thanks." she replied smilling. They both walked in with Segun carrying a bagpack. They walked towards the garden behind the house where tables and chairs were arranged. She took Segun to a section of the garden where some guys and girls are seated. She introduced them as her classmates in school. She took him to another part where her cousins and distant family members were seated before they rounded up the introduction spree at the section where her neighbours were seated. She led him through the pathway between the lawns walking towards the main house. They entered the sitting room where her parents and some other elders were seated. "Good afternoon sir." he greeted postrating. "Segun, i thought you wouldn't come. How are you?" "Am fine sir." he replied. Nike led him back into the garden. He sat down on an empty seat while Nike quickly ordered refreshments for him. Nike left him occassionally to welcome her guests. At exactly 12pm the party was declared opened by Ambrose (Nike's big bro). The party continued until when the celebrant was called upon to cut the cake in company of two best friend of hers. Episode 46 7:45am monday 7th october. The students of Brights comprehensive college all lined up according to their classes on the assembly ground. After the recitation of the anthems(national & school) and recitation of the pledge. Mr Hastrup the principal climbed up the podium to address the students. He started by welcoming the senior students who went for the just concluded waec gce back to school, he reminded them of their school fee and advised them. He concluded by saying "All prefects, see me in my office." with this he walked back to his office and the students marched back to their various classes. The senior secondary school 3 students got back in their class shouting and arguing about trival issues which is normal among secondary school students. "You guys are matured enough, so stop making a noise." Wilson, the class monitor and the punctuality prefect commanded. The whole class bursted into laughter. "So, in short you are trying to say we are not matured?" Titi, the senior girl asked. "Exactly." Wilson replied. The class went into another round of laughter. "Let's go and see the principal." Segun said immediately the noise subsied. "Everybody?" Chioma, an igbo girl in the class asked. "Are you a prefect?" Segun asked in a mocking manner which caused another round of laughter. Mr Ige the Biology teacher walked into the class. "And what is the noise all about?" he asked no one in particular. "Goood mooorning sir." the whole class thundered. Mr Ige walked to the chalkboard and wrote the days topic. He faced the class and saw about fifteen students making their way out of the class. "To where?" he asked. "The principal office." Wilson replied. "Come back here, you have my class. You can go and see him later." Mr Ige advised. "Uncle forget joor." Segun said as the whole class bursted into laughter. During the cause of their laughter, the prefects including Segun left the class and headed to the principal's office. They got to the principal's office in no time and the principal began his boring talks about leadership. He ended by giving each prefect a project to handle. Segun was told to handle the practice for the upcoming football match against Steadfast comprehensive college (Nike's school). The principal ended and dismissed them. On getting back to the class, Mr Ige had left the class when the period ended. "Segun, Mr Ige asked to see you immediately you are back." Peter the shortest boy in the class said. "Let him come and carry me." Segun said and went back to his seat. "I am here to carry you." a thick voice thundered through the window. Episode 47 "Follow me to the staff room." Mr Ige commanded. Segun obeyed him and followed him to the staff room. They got to the enterance of the staff room and Mr Ige went inside. Segun surveyed the teachers sitted in the staff room. He discovered they were mostly young teachers whom he had good rapport with because most of them are his friends on some social network media. With this he walked into the staff room with confidence. Mr Ige reported him to the teachers present and seeked their opinion on how to punish him since the use of cane is prohibited on the SS3 students. The teachers turned the question to a jovial matter as they all laughed it of and they offered Segun a seat as they began discussing about sports, politics (the minister who bought a car worth about 225m naira for security reasons. As if na inside car she go sleep.) He was released to go back to his class as he ran back. He got back to the class and found his classmate dancing to a popular song sang by a musician who was 19yrs for three years. The principal showed face from nowhere and was watching the dancers. Segun and his classmate settled down and were laughing at the dancers foolishness. The principal cleared his throat causing the three dancers to run back to their seats. He entered the class and seized the phone with which they were playing the music from. "This is the time you need to face your studies squarely. The fact that you have written gce doesn't mean you are through with your education." he advised. The students all mumured some incoherent words. "You keep on listening to worldly songs that are of the devil. Tell me what is the meaning of 'skelewu'?" he complained. "Mr principal is so on point. So you know what is in town." Segun said loud enough for the man to hear. "Who said that? Before i punish everyone of you." the man asked. "Mr man shaaaat up there and go back to ya office." Danjuma a hausa boy in the class said. The whole class bursted into laughter as the principal looked on foolishly. He walked out of the class and went to his office. THIRTY MINUTER LATER Five men walked into ss3c class. They were dressed in military uniform, they were the student disciplinary squad(SDS). They marched the students to the football field and ordered them to do frog jump from a goal post to another. Segun stood his ground while other began the frog jump as if their life depended on it. "Hey! Do what you are asked to do." the youngest among the five men yelled at Segun. "Am not doing any unecessary stamina training." Segun replied and the students who were frog jumping bursted into laughter. The man closed the gap between them and held Segun by his shirt as he marched him to their leader. "Boy, i heard you decided not to do what you were commanded to do." the man said. "Yes." Segun replied. "But why?" the man asked. "I know my rights and and you can't just come and deprive me of my rights." he defended. "And what are your rights?" the man asked. "As stipulated in the constitution of this country. It is wrong to subject a citizen of a country to arbitrary torture." he explained. By this time the other students had stopped frog jumping. "Tell your father to see me tomorrow morning." the principal said as he dismissed him with a wave of hand. Segun walked out of the principal's office, got outside, adjusted his uniform and walked back to his class. "Shegzy. Aren't you playing football today?" Wilson asked. "Am not jare." he replied. He sat down and brought out his government textbook. He read through the topics he had missed while he was away writing exam. Mary entered the class and walked towards Segun's seat. "Bro how far?" she asked. "I dey o." he replied. "What happened between you and officer Jude?" she asked with concern. "Nothing much. Just a little burst up." he replied non chalantly. "Bro, i think you should try and work on your temper." she advised. "Are you here to preach?" he asked already loosing his temper. "Am sorry o." she apologised. "Mary i want to see you." Mike called through the window. Mary made to leave to join her boyfriend but Segun held her roughly on her hands. "Don't dare leave my presence while am still talking to you." Segun said angrily. "Man leave the girl alone, she is through with you." Mike said entering the class. "She is my sister and i have every right to tell he what to do." Segun said advancing towards an oncoming Mike. Oblivious of the fact that members of Segun's class had turned them to a movie. Mary quickly got in between the and stopped them from hitting themselves. Mike tried leaving the class with Mary but she angrily left through the other exit which led to the school playing ground. Segun angrily sat down and closed his textbook. He removed a small hand towel from his bag and wiped his face with it. He stood up checked his wallet, he headed for the school's snacks shop. Episode 49 Segun went to the snacks shop to buy something to quench his hunger. "Good morning sister Joy." he greeted the attendant in the mart. "Good morning my brother, how you dey ?." she asked. "I dey o." he replied. He bought two packs of cupcakes and a vanilla flavoured yoghourt. He started a conversation with Joy as he munched his food. "Senior...senior Segun....." a junior student greeted kneeling down. "How are you?" Segun asked. "Am fine sir." the girl replied. Segun finished what he was eating and left for his class. He got out of the mart and met Mike. Mike blocked the way. "Hey, leave the way let me pass." Segun warned. "What if i don't leave the way?" Mike dared him. Segun moved close to Mike and held him by his collar causing him to whince in pain. "Segun, what's going on there?" Peace(an asthmatic patient) a girl in SS3A(the science class)asked walking close to them. Segun left his collar and walked angrily back to his class to avoid listening to unecessary preachings from her. As he got to the door of his class, a junior student ran to him. "Senior please, i misplaced my snacksmoney and i am hungry." the girl said. Segun looked at her for some seconds. "Go and meet sister Joy. Pick what you want in my name." Segun told her. "Thank you sir." the girl said as she ran towards the direction of the snacks shop. Segun got into the class and was suprised to see the whole class facing the direction where Wilson the class monitor was seated. "Segun come here and lets talk as brothers." Wilson spoke to him. Segun walked to him and the whole class began talking at the same time advising him to change and reduce his temper. He was infuriated by this and angrily yelled at them. "You all must be crazy. Are you sent to school to advise me?" he asked as every member of the class started dispersing one by one back to their seats. Segun sat down and laid his head on his locker waiting for the next teacher. "Hypocrites." he said and hissed loudly for them to hear.

Episode 50 At the sound of the closing bell, Segun hurriedly walked to the SS1, SS2 class to inform the members of the football team to wait behind for practice. After that he went to the snacks shop where he paid for the snacks he bought for the junior student during the long break. He got back changed his school uniform, put on his football kits (all provided by the school) and got on the pitch of play. They did some exercise before they played a short match against themselves to regain their pattern of play. After one hour, they left the school after they had achieved their set goal. Segun walked out of the school compound and headed for the bus/stop. Just then his phone ranged. It was his mother. "Hello mum." he said. "Are you at home?" she asked. "Not yet, but am on my way." he informed. "Okay, i just want you to meet me in the shop." she explained. "Hope no problem?" he asked. "When you come." she replied. Segun returned his phone back to his pocket and increased his pace. He got home fifteen minutes later. He knocked on the gate but the gate was opened five minutes later by Mary. "What kept you long?" he asked. "I I I I....erm....i was....busy." she stammered. Segun hissed and walked to the sitting room where he met Mike sitting down comfortably with a bottle of Maltina on a stool before him. Segun looked at him with hatred before walking towards him. "What are you doing here?" Segun asked angrily. "Are you quarelling with google." Mike replied amidst laughter. Segun angrily launched an attack hitting him on his nose. Immediately he began bleeding from the nose. Mary quickly held Segun from behind and in anger Segun swung his hand, he hit Mary on the head causing her to loose balance. She fell down and hit her head on the pointed edge of the chair. She lost consciousness immediately. Seeing this Mike ran away immediately with a bleeding nose. Segun went into the kitchen and returned with a first aid box and a bowl of water. He applied his first aid knowledge of reviving a fainted victim. Twenty minutes later Mary came back to life which relieved Segun. Her vision was blur and she was dazed, she requested to be taken to her room to sleep. Segun obliged her, he sat down on the edge of the bed watching her closely. This time he was yet to remove his school uniform. Mary slept off some minutes later, Segun left for his room. AN HOUR LATER THEIR MOTHER ARRIVED. "Mary... Segun." she called from the sitting room. Segun answered her and ran to meet her in the sitting room. "Where is your sister?" she asked. "She is not feeling fine, she is sleeping." He explained. She stood up and headed for Mary's room. She barged into the room and woke her up in the process. "Mummy welcome." Mary greeted. Her mother sat down on the edge of the bed and touched her body, she touched her head and felt the swollen part of her head. "What happened to your head?" she asked. "Let me go and see mummy." Segun said as he walked out of the room. IN HIS MOTHER'S ROOM "Segun, why didn't you come to shop when i asked you to come?" she asked. "I was attending to Mary that was why." he explained. "Is that so?" she asked. "Yes mum." he replied. "I called you so that you can meet Jummy's father." she informed. "thank God i didn't come." he thought within himself. "We have finalised things as it ought to be." She said. "What things?" he asked ignorantly. "Her father will be going back to Japan in two days time, so Jummy will have to live with us now. And this will futher strengthen the relationship between you two." she explained. "She can't stay with us. What about her schooling?" he asked. "I'll enrol her in your school." she informed. "Our school doesn't admitt final year students." he said. "I'll meet Mr Hastrup tomorrow and hopefully he'll admit her." she said. Segun looked at his mother angrily who in turn smiled at him. "You can go." she dismissed him. He got out of his mother's room and brought out his phone. "I need to establish something with this girl." he said as he dialled Nike's number. She picked the call after the fourth ring. "Hello." he said. "Hi." she replied. "How are you?" he asked. "Am fine." she replied. "Nike, i have something i want to tell you. It has been bothering my mind since but i have to say it out now." he said. "Say it." she replied. He brainwashed her for the next five minutes with his romantic words which left Nike speechless. He concluded his talks with. "Nike, will you be my lover? Yes or no?" he asked. She cleared her throat and replied. "Segun let me think about it." "When should i expect a reply?" he asked. "Before this week runs out." she replied. "Goodnight sweet." he said. "Goodnight." she replied. Segun walked out of his room and headed towards Mary's room to check on her. --to be continued--

His father ignored and looked at him with an "i will kill you look." which futher scared him. "What is this?" his mother asked pointing to the drops of blood on the tile. "The blood abi?" he asked foolishly. "And who drank this?" she asked pointing to the bottle on the stool. "Talk now or never." his father yelled. Mary walked into the sitting room holding the walls for support. "The blood is from me." she said. "How?" her mother asked. "I'm seeing my period." she lied. Their parents bought the lies foolishly as they dismissed them after Segun had been ordered to clean the blood. They both left the sitting room and Segun followed Mary back to her room. "Mary, thanks for saving me for the second time today." he said. Mary was in pains as she couldn't reply. Just then her phone ranged. It was Mike. She looked at an angry Segun who pretended not to be angry. "Hello, is this when you are supposed to call me. As if you are not the cause of all these. And i was trying to stop him from hitting you, that was how i got injured. Now look at the time you are calling me." Mary lamented. Segun couldn't hear what Mike was saying in the background. He just heard Mary reply. "How dare you call my brother an animal?" she asked angrily. Segun folded his fists like he wants to punch Mary. "Mike, so this is life? This is how you want to repay me, despite how much i have done for you. Remember i love you with my heart and body." she lamented angrily. Segun was confused as to what she was saying. She quickly got herself back as she ended the call and removed her battery. Segun looked at her with an askance look. "He has broken up with me." she cried. Segun told her to lower her voice which she did to his relief. "Thank God you have not invested much in the relationship." Segun said happily but faked sadness. "No." she responded. "Segun are you there with Mary?" their father asked. "Yes sir." Segun replied as he quickly composed himself and cleaned the tears in Mary's eyes. Their father opened the door to the room, checked on Mary, prayed for her and left but not after telling her, she would be visiting the hospital the following day. Mary knelt down before Segun immediately their father left. "Please lets keep this a secret." she said pleadingly. Segun sighed and looked at her sympathetically. He got into his room filled with rage and laid on his bed before he drifted into a fitful sleep. **9 O'CLOCK THE FOLLOWING DAY** Segun was standing before the principal. "What is wrong with your sister? I learnt she is not in school today." the principal asked. "She's not feeling fine." he replied. "But i think i told you to come with your father this morning. Where is he now?" the man asked. "He took Mary to the hospital." he replied. Just then there was a knock on the door to the principal's office. "Yes come in." Mr Hastrup said. Mr Hastrup dismissed Segun immediately he discovered that Mrs Akinola was there for business. Segun got outside and thought to himself. "Why on earth will this girl be brought to this place? Imagine how she was winking at me in there. She's gonna be a stalker for sure." he said and left for his class. He got into the class and saw some mathematics questions on the board. He settled down and solved them all to the amazement of all other students who were present when the teacher was teaching them the topic. Episode 54 "Good morning sir." they all rose up to greet Mr Adio(the vice principal academics)who was accopanied by Jummy. "How are you all?" he asked. "We are fine sir." they chorused. The students started murmuring some inaudible words. The guys were busy admiring her beauty, while the girls were accessing her base on what she wore. "Hello class, this is Olagunju Olajumoke. A new student of this school." Mr Adio said calling the attention of everybody. "Good morning." the whole class greeted her excluding Segun. "Good morning." she replied shyly. Mr Adio left her in the class to get acquinted with her new classmates. She left where she was standing and walked to where Segun was seated. "Hi." she greeted him. "Hello." he replied without raising up his head. "The serious student." she said mockingly. "Oh! You are welcome to our school." Segun said standing up to shake her hands like they were meeting for the first time. She took the handshake but not after hitting him playfully. She left Segun's seat and went on to introduce herself better to other members of the class. "Olagunju. The principal wants to see you." the secretary said referring to Jummy. Jummy followed the secretary and off they went to the principal office. "Segun, this girl makes sense o." Wilson said. "I heard about it." Segun replied sacarstically. "Can i have her number?" He reminded them of the need to put more seriousness in practice, so that they can triumph over their opponent. Segun left the school compound and joined Jummy outside as they both walked home. Episode 55 "I never knew we could be back together this soon." Jummy said. "What did you say?" Segun asked. "I said i never believed we could get back this soon." she said. "Get back together where?" he asked. "Never mind." she replied. They continued walking until they got to the bus/stop where they boarded a bus home. They arrived home fifteen minutes later. They entered the sitting room and saw a small basket filled with drugs. "I think Mary is at home." Segun said. "Lets check on her." Jummy replied. They both walked towards Mary's room. "You are yet to give me a reply based on what i told you the last time we spoke on phone." he said. "Oh that?" She asked rhetorically. Episode 56 "Segun." his mother called from the sitting room interrupting his converstation with Nike. He slugglishly dropped the call but not after promising to call Nike later. He walked out of his room and descended the stairs into the sitting room. "Welcome mum." he greeted. "How are you my son?" she asked. Segun was suprised because since the issue of girlfriends started his mother has been hard on him. "Am fine ma." he replied. "How was school today?" she asked. "It was fine ma." he replied. "I learnt you are getting on much better with your wife." she said. "No wonder, this woman was extra nice today." he thought within himself. "What will you eat because i learnt you've not eaten your lunch?" she asked. "What's in the kitchen?" he asked. "Rice and plantain?" she asked. "No problem." he replied. Jummy who overheard the discussion between mother and son left the dining where she was seated and left for the kitchen. She came back with a plate of rice and fried plantain with meat and a bottle of chilled water. "Segun this is your food." she said setting them on the table. Segun walked past her and she pinched him on the arm. She smiled sheepishly. Segun sat down to eat and Jummy walked back to join Mrs Akinola in the sitting room. She sat beside her and they began talking in low tones. Segun could not decipher what they were discussing but he could hear things like "i'll give it all it takes.", "he must listen to me, am his mother." Straightaway he knew they were talking about him. But he pretended like he didn't hear them but he would occasionaly clear his throat loudly which will make them silent for some seconds. "Women and their gossips." he thought within himself. Then he remembered the promise made to Nike. He abandoned his food and ran straight to his room. He dialled her number. "Hello." he said immediately she picked the call. "Hello." she replied tiredly. "Are you asleep already?" he asked. "Yes." she replied. "Oh am sorry." he apologised. "No problem." she replied. "Nike, how about my question?" he asked. Episode 58 TWO WEEKS LATER. "Good morning my fellow students." Segun greeted addressing the students on the assembly ground. "Good morning sir." the students (mostly the junior students responded) "As you already know, we would be playing against Steadfast comprehensive college this morning. And i'll be calling the list of supporters going with the team." he said as he began calling their names. Among which were Jummy and Mary. They all marched out of the assembly hall after the principal had prayed for them. Two teachers (the games master and uncle steve) accopanied the students to their match venue. 'WELCOME STEADFAST COMPREHENSIVE COLLEGE IBADAN' reads a sign post at the gate. The security men allowed them to park their school bus in the parking lot but were not allowed to come down. One of the security men went to announce the arrival of Brights college to the students lined up in the hall. Five prefects(the headboy, the headgirl, the games prefect boy, the games prefect girl and the sport utility prefect) all went to welcome the Brights college. Segun came down and had a little chat with them before he mobilized the students from his school and led them to the football pitch where they all sat down on the supporters seat. Segun and other members of the team went to the dressing room provided for them and changed to their school jersey and their kits while the games master was addressing them tactically. TWENTY MINUTES LATER The announcement was made for the two teams to line up in the passage which led to the pitch. The announcer said a brief history of both schools in terms of sport and past records. Steadfast had never lost at home before while Brights was one of the schools who are better of in away matches. The players matched out of the tunnel and there were screams in the stands. Over three hundred steadfast students were in the stands while thirty Brights supporters were present. "Its good to be at home." Segun said to the guy in front of him. By the touchline Jummy was standing and when Segun got near her, she gave him a peck. The match started and Brights were the first to struck a goal by wilson, but steadfast responded by pulling two back to make the score 2-1 before halftime. The second half began and Steadfast made a change by bringing Emmanuel on in the defence. Segun became afraid and lost his confidence. Steadfast scored another sublime finish goal to make it 3-1 before the Brights won a penalty which Segun converted to make the score 3-2 which was the final scores. At the end of the game, the players all greeted themselves but Segun tried as much as possible to avoid Emmanuel. He left the pitch and was searching frantically for his girlfriend(Nike). He saw her afar standing by the brights school bus. He walked up to her and saw tears welled up in her eyes. "Baby, whats up?" he greeted. "Don't come near me again. How there you lie to me that you have nothing to do with Jummy and here you kissed her in my presence." she said and walked away angrily. Someone walked up to him and punched him in the stomach. Episode 59 Segun turned to look at the intruder and discovered it was Emmanuel. He attacked him and threw him to the ground but he backed off immediately he saw the security men coming towards them. He settled things with them and was allowed to go. He went in search of Nike but couldn't find her and he didn't know where her class was located. He tried her number but the preset network operator told him her phone was switched up. Segun gave up and went to join his other teammates in the dressing room. The students of brights college left steadfast thirty minutes later. Segun sat close to the window and looking at the volleyball court he could see Nike staring at their bus. He waved but got no response. They got back to their school around 2pm and were given a warm reception, the principal commended them and told them to work harder in their subsequent matches. The ss3c students got back to their class and the guys began arguing about the match they played. Segun sat down and was thinking about Nike. "Segun, what's wrong?" Jummy asked with concern written on her face. "Nothing." he replied. "Are you thinking about the match?" she asked. "Am not thinking about anything." he replied coldly. Jummy was suprised at his sudden outburst, but she didn't retreat. "Segun, you know you can tell me what is wrong." Jummy said playing with his fingers. "I have no problem to share with you. I just want to be alone." he said angrily. "Have you forgotten that i am your girlfriend?" she asked. Segun stood up and left the class for the staff room. He got to the staff room and met the absence of uncle steve, he waited for five minutes with the hope that he will return before the time elapse but he didn't. Segun left the staff room and walked back to his class. He got back to the class and saw Jummy still seated on his seat. He walked up to her and said. "Jummy, please i have somethings to do." "Do it now." Jummy said shifting for him. "start going back to your seat." he commanded in a low tone. She stood up hissed and picked up his phone with the aim of sending files from there to hers. She got back to her seat and opened his media, where she saw numerous pictures of Nike with lovely names and also love messages in the message inbox. Episode 60 SATURDAY MORNING. Segun was in his room listening to music from his mp3 player. He was humming to rythm of the song and dancing. There was a knock on the door. She walked in and sat down on the only available chair near his reading table. "Bro, am not happy with you." she broke the silence. "Why?" he asked. Thats true. I was thinking we should go together." she said. "I'm sorry we can't go together." he said. "But why?" she asked. "Because i don't want to be delayed. Episode 61 They both turned their heads to see who the intruder was. Alas! It was their mother. "You must go to that wedding together." she stressed. "But why?" segun asked. "Who invited you?" she asked. "A classmate." Jummy cuts in sharply. "Since its a classmate of yours, and you two are familiar with him/her. I guess, its more proper if you go together." Mrs Akinola said with a tone of finality. "But mum......" Segun was saying before his mother cut him short. "My daughter please go and dress up jare and stop looking at me that way." "Yes, but my mum gave me the money to buy some yards for myself." he replied. They all walked to a table where members of the class were seated. They exchanged pleasantries and complimented their looks. Bunmi came and greeted them. "Do you guys care for more foods and drinks?" she asked. "Yes." Chioma said. "Igbo people too like food." Segun said as everyone at their table bursted into laughter. Episode 62 "Oh my God! Are you mad?" Segun asked angrily. "Aw! Am very sorry dear." Jummy stood up and tried cleaning the mess. "Take you hands off me." Segun yelled and walked out of the hall. Other guests were looking at the student's table with keen intrest. "You better go and apologise to him." Odunayo advised. "No don't go yet, let him calm down first." Titi advised. Episode 64 "Baby please am sorry." Jummy apologised. Segun ignored her and concentrated on playing games on his phone. "I don't mean to put you into trouble with your parents." she said. "So?" Segun asked as he advance towards her. She stood her ground and fidgeted as she closed her eyes expecting another slap. Segun stopped in his tracks and turned back to his bed. She quickly held him on his arms which was where he got a cut resulting from the beatings. He whinced in pain. "Ow! Sorry." she said then excused herself as she went out. She re-emerged a few minutes later with a bowl filled with hot steaming water and a small towel to massage his wounds. She gently massaged them so as not to cause him pains. Then she applied a pain killing ointment on the wounds. There was a knock on the door, the door gently opened and Mrs Akinola walked in. She smiled immediately she saw the care Jummy was giving to Segun. "What a great couple they'll make." she thought. "I can see she is taking good care of you." she said. Segun kept mute and looked on as the drama unfolds. "I came here to talk to you." she said referring to Segun. Jummy packed her things(the towel and the bowl) and made to leave the room. Mary descended the stairs and walked to join the other family members. "Where is your brother?" Mr Akinola asked. "He said he will join us in church." Mary replied. "Meaning?" Mrs Akinola asked. "He's going on his own." Mary replied then collected her parents bible bag. Mr Akinola gave his wife a "can you see your son" look. Mrs Akinola shrugged and pretended like it doesn't concern her. "Lets go." Mr Akinola said and walked out of the house followed by Jummy and Mary, his wife gave a last look to the sitting room before she dashed out to join the others in the waiting toyota rav-4 outside. Segun came out of his room immediately he heard them close the gate. "Me, go to church with you. When am not mad. I'll make you know how stubborn i am." he said aloud and headed for the kitchen. He dished his breakfast and sat down on the dining and muched the food slowly. He finished eating and took his bath, put on his cloth, wore his perfume and off he went to church. As he was about entering the chuch auditorium his phone ranged. He walked to the car park and picked the call. It was Olanike. Since the event that happened in her school after the football match. Episode 66 Segun rushed home immediately after the service. Nike had promised to come around by 1pm and thank God his parents will be waiting behind for the elders meeting while the two girls won't come home on their own. He got home, took a shower and waited patiently for the knock on the gate. THIRTY MINUTES LATER There was a knock on the gate and Segun rushed to see who the person was. On opening the gate he saw Nike standing looking ravishingly beautiful dressed in a yellow top and a black skirt a little bit longer than knee length. Segun stared at her and put on a charming smile. "Won't you let me in?" she asked smiling. "Oh! My bad." Segun said and opened the gate wider for her. Segun led her into the house. "How did you know this place?" Segun asked. "Your mum invited me so she sent me the description." She replied. "My mum?" he asked bewildered. "Yes." she replied. They both settled down in the sitting room. "What should i offer you?" Segun asked rising on his feet. "Water will do." she replied. "Water? No way." he replied and went into the kitchen to get her a orange juice pack. There was a horn at the gate. Every other person in the sitting room was shocked to the marrow as to what Mrs Akinola just said. "It doesn't speak well if i oppose my mum openly before you." Segun defended. "There are better ways through which you can do that and will sound polite." Nike explained. A bikeman wandered freely on the street. Nike flagged down the bike and mounted it and off she went home. Segun walked back home dejected. "It is now i show this people my true character." he said and slammed the gate angrily as if the gate was part of those who offended him. He got to the sitting room and could hear voices of his parents which seems like they were arguing. "You disappointed me by saying all these to that innocent girl." Mr Akinola said. "Why is she forcing herself on my son?" Mrs Akinola asked. "Who is your son? I think these children are to young to be exposed to things like this." Mr Akinola buttressed his point. "Let them know themselves better now so that they won't have problem in the future." Mrs Akinola said. "Which future? Don't tell me you are planning on getting them married in future?" he asked. "I made a promise to her mother." Mrs Akinola replied. "Don't you know they could take the silly engagement of yours and start having sex with the belief that they are couples." Longest time." she said. "Yeah." he replied. They asked about how they were fairing. Before Segun stated the reason behind the call. "I want you to ask Nike if she is at home." Segun said. "Why not call her yourself?" Mercy asked. "We are actually in a small misunderstanding. So she wouldn't pick my calls." Segun explained. "What went wrong between you two?" Mercy asked. "Nothing much. I'll explain everything to you later. But first make that call please." Segun pleaded. "Okay. I'll call you back." she said. "And don't tell her i asked you to make this call." Segun warned. "Okay." she replied and ended the call. A few minutes later Segun's phone ranged and he knew at once that it was Mercy. "Hello. She is home." Marcy informed. "Okay thanks." Segun said. He stood up from his bed and changed his cloth into something light. He left the house headed to Agodi GRA without informing anyone of his movement. He got into the GRA and walked towards Nike's house. He knocked on the door and the gateman greeted him warmly being a regular visitor. "Oga you are welcome." the gateman said. "Weldone baba." Segun replied and headed for the main building. He knocked on the door a few seconds later. "Am coming o." Nike said from within. Segun waited patiently for the door to be opened. He shook hands with him. "I'll come back and check on you." Emma said as he walked towards the door. "Okay. Thank you." Nike replied following so as to see him off. "No stay with your visitor." Emma said. "Okay." Nike replied. "My guy see you later." Emma said referring to Segun. "Alright bros." Segun replied. Emma walked out of the house. "What can i offer you?" she asked. "Am ok." he replied. "In this hot weather? At least you need something cold." she said and walked to the kitchen. She returned a few minutes later with a bottle of chilled lacasera. "I never believed you guys could clear the eye." she said referring to the feud between Emma and Segun. Segun kept quiet as he didn't know how to reply her. There was silence in the room for some minutes. "Nike." he called breaking the silence. "unhm?" she murmured. "I came here to apologise because of what my mum did to you." he said. "Your mum didn't offend me." she replied. "Okay but what about us?" he asked. "Us?" she replied with a question. "I mean our relationship." he replied. "Segun. You see i've moved on long ago. Your mum said i am a negative influence on you, and i don't want situation whereby people will look at me with one bad eye like i am a bad girl." she explained. "Don't mind her. She said that out of annoyance on that day." he defended weakly. "Annoyance? She chosed her words carefully. so i knew she was prepared for me." she replied. "So are you telling me that.....?" he said as his voice trailed off. "Yes." she replied. Segun stood up. "Bye." he uttered then walked to the door. "Segun." she called. He looked back to hear her out. "We can still be friends." she added. He nodded his head and opened the door. Off he went home. He got home and could hear voices, one which seems like Jummy's voice and the other masculine baritone voice which he couldn't comprehend. He was shocked and at the same time jealous but he had to hide it. "Bro wale wassup now?" Segun greeted shaking hands with him. "Aburo i dey o." Wale replied. Segun tried his best to play along in their conversation even though he was boiling with anger. But why was he angry? I thought he was never interested in Jummy. His conclusion after loosing Nike was to switch to the plan B which was Jummy. But here he was, Jummy with another guy. Not just any guy but his brother's friend. "Is Mary in?" Segun asked pointing to the direction of Mary's room. "No, mummy asked her to come to shop." Jummy informed. "Okay." Segun said. They continued their conversation before Segun left for his room. "Bro Wale. I'm off to my room o." Segun informed. "Okay aburo. I'll soon be going too." Wale replied. Segun walked dejectedly to his room with jealousy written all over his face. He got into his room, tried to catch some sleep but sleep eluded him. He was just tossing around the bed. He brought out his phone to chat online or surf the internet but it seems like the network is against him because the thing refused to go through. Mary entered his room thirty minutes later. You so much believe in yourself that you think you know what is good for you." Mary said. "Am i the one you are talking to in that manner?" he asked angrily. "Am sorry o." she replied. "Mary, are you mad?" he asked advancing towards her. Mary stood still and didn't utter a word because she knew what will happen if she tried running away or talk. "Mary, i don't want you to interfere in anything about me. Okay?" he said. "yes." she replied. "Now get out." he commanded. Mary looked at him for the last time and left his room. "Am i the one that made those girls to break up with you? You are now transferring your agression on me. Mtchew." she said and hissed loudly. Segun layed down back on his bed and reminiscied over the events of the day. "Nike is now back with Emmanuel, Jummy is now dating Wale. At last am the looser." he thought. He went back into wonderland a few minutes later and had a dream. In his dream he saw a beautiful girl whom he fell in love with a first sight. He tried asking her out. "Segun, before i can go into a relationship with you. You need to work on one thing." the beautiful girl said. "What are they?" he asked. "Your anger, and your pride." she replied. "I promise to work on them immediately." he said and woke up from his slumber. "Segun, take this and get me fuel for the generator." his father said handing a one thousand naira note to him. He stood up washed his face and went to the filling station accross the street. The time was 7pm. He kept on thinking about his dream. --to be continued--

Episode 73 Segun opened the door to the living room and entered. "Go and fill the generator with the fuel." Mr Akinola commanded. "Wassup man." Mike greeted. He ignored his greeting and headed for the backyard where the generator house was located. "Segun, can't you see your friend is greeting you?" Mr Akinola asked. Segun kept quiet and looked at Mike in anger. The guy just kept smiling. "Hey." Segun said no chalantly and shook hands with him. Immediately he left the room and walked to the backyard. Mike followed in the direction he went to. Segun got into the generator house and opened the tank, he began filling it. "Lets clear the air and forget about the past." Mike said. Segun felt like slapping him but some forces held him and he stayed put. "I know i offended you but we are friends and it is bound to happen." Mike explained. Segun was suprised he couldn't attack him despite his anger. "No problems. What are friends for." Segun replied then shook hands with him. Segun put on the generator a few minutes later. They both walked back to the front of the house chatting happily. Jummy walked in with Mrs Akinola. "Good evening ma." Mike greeted prostrating. "Good evening my son. How is daddy and mummy?" Mrs Akinola replied. "They are all fine ma." Mike replied. Mrs Akinola walked in leaving Jummy behind. "Hi." Mike said extending his hands to Jummy. "Hello." Jummy replied shaking hands with him. "You are looking good. I guess my guy here is taking care of you." Mike said laughing. Segun frowned in anger but replaced it with an evil grin before Mike could notice his changed countenance. Jummy smiled uncomfortably walked in leaving the two friends to their discussion. "Guy whats up now. Don't tell me you are not dating this babe." Mike said smiling sheepishly. "Oh boy i don jonz o." Segun replied. "Wetin happen?" Mike asked with concern written all over his face. Segun explained how things went from the time he met Nike, how he started dating Jummy for what she can offer, how his mother interfered because of some promises, how he started dating Nike, how blissful their relationship was. The interference of his mother in the matter. His breakup with Nike and coming back home to continue with Jummy only to meet her with another guy. "Na so you take loose on both ends." Mike lamented. "Oh boy i loose big time." Segun said sadly. "Remember i told you to go for one of them or you'll loose at the end of the day." Mike reminded him. "I know but right from time, i went for Nike." Segun defended. "Then you shouldn't have striked any friendship deal with Jummy talkless of bringing her home." Mike explained. Segun kept quiet and digested all what his friend said. "I personally wanted Jummy for you. That was why i reported you movement with Nike to your dad." Mike confessed. "So you are the spy?" Segun asked inwardly. "Factors that led to your loss is not far fetched. Its just that you are naive and inexperience coupled with you anger." Mike explained. "Truely i became the looser just because of my naivety."
