Episode 1 19/02/2016 08:06 PM [b]Chapter 1 [color =green]THE DEED IS DONE[/color] • • It was a cool night but eerie enough to send shudders to the body. It was cold and calm too. The coldness was a result of the small drizzling in the afternoon that lingered till night. And the calmness was still being disrupted by the sound of the firecrackers the street children played with. Yes it was Dec 25, so the atmosphere smelt yuletide everywhere apart from a richly furnished building that stood proudly at the wayside of Mango street, Abeokuta. Inside the building, death hung in the air. And that could be deciphered on the faces of the people inside the room. In the room were victims of captivity and also a predated by a dreaded looking captor. The captors had only one look reeking out of him -Death! While the captives had the looks ranging from surprises to disquietness. The captives were Mirabel and her two children, her mother and her only younger sister -Sofia. While there captor was no other person than Temi. Mirabel and the rest of her victims were trussed down like a maimed ram, awaiting death sentence on sallah day. Tears flushed out of their bland faces like a brook. While a big question of how and when did Temi became this deadly monster stood on their acerbic minds. "dad dad" a soft dulcet voice escaped Tony's mouth. Tears speeding out from the six years old toddler eyes as he watched his lovely and so caring dad point a garand rifle at his face. "Do you want to kill me ?" His voice withered as he stared at the gun's hole. Inwardly flinching the Temi's grip on the weapon. But his face, Temi's face held nothing but death. "My love, i know you are in there. You are not a monster. You are Temi. You are mine. The only man have ever loved and will continue to love. You don't have to yield to this. We are your family and you don't wanna kill us" Mirabel cried out hoping to dampen the bloodshot urge on Temi. She just couldn't subsume how he had turned this colossus and impenitent monster standing in front of them. "I am Jahah. The messenger of the destroyer and you are the enemy of the destroyer" Temi scowled, deliberately ignoring Mirabel and facing Tony, his child who had his face plastered in hurtful tears. In a swift movement, Temi's masked hand rushed towards the the little boy's neck, strangling life out of him. Something was not right. Not when the poor toddler's tears dripped on his hand. He felt something. An unsung esthesis overwhelmed him. But an unknown force kept the impulse in him. The desire to kill kept him strangling more while the young child's struggle kept minifying till life finally ebbed away from him. "I love you so much, dad dad" he said and died bringing out sinister smirk on his father's face. He is no way a father. He is Jahah, the messenger of destroyer. "Noooooo" A vehement outcry rushed out from the rest of the captives in the room. Tonia rushed forward to hit her feeble hands on her dad's leg but all the innocuous daughter got was an heavy kick. And before anybody could blink, in a speed faster than superhuman and to the wonderment of everyone, they watched in glistening horror as Temi fixed his left hand on his daughter's neck, ready for the second strangulation. "You can't do this. I can't allow you kill my daughter, our daughter" she blubbered holding and pointing a glotch pistol at Temi's face, cocking it to life while Temi splayed his head towards her with his quaint peccant smirk. Thud! The cremains of his daughter touched down lifeless. "Noooo" another fierce outcry pierced the room but this time it was accompanied with rapid resound shots from Mirabel's weapon. "Pow Pow pow!" Temi jerked to the hit of the shots on his body but they never had any effect on him. As the lesions on his skin was quick healed on his body leaving everyone mouth agape and confirming, Temi was definitely a monster! "I am Jahah! The messenger of the destroyer! I am immortal. You can't kill me. No one can." Temi roared like a wild panther enjoying it foray. He studied how everyone growse in fear of him. He smiled complacency. Then in lightning speed, shots rang in the air while bullets flew from his garand rifle to greet Sofia and Mirabel's mother brow and jowl. They both slumped down and died too. Then taking two strides towards Mirabel who now looked at his predators eyes in horror. It was now discernible she had lost the man he loved. She had lost Temi. She finally lost him to the unfairly world. Temi was about snapping her neck when one shot blared out in the air. Blood seeped out from Mirabel's mouth and chest as she hiccoughed slowly to death. Then immediately he felt disillusioned. His eyes opened and recognized Mirabel. Tony and Tonia. "Mirabel, my love what have i done?" Temi queried as he lurched forward to carry the already feebly body of Mirabel. "please don't leave me. Please I'm sorry i did this" He cried like baby and quivered rapidly. "It is not your fault. I'm happy I'm dying in your arms. I still love you .my love. I love you Temi. I love you so much" Mirabel stuttered her last words with a cloying dark smile before she died on Temi's arm. "Nooooooooooooooooooo!" Temi shouted in agony as his eyes dethaw after lurking them on the array of deaths of the people that littered everywhere. The deed is done! Unfortunately he just fulfilled his destiny. "Hey good morning sweet, wakie wakie" Mirabel felt a shadow crept all over his face. Then the shadow planted a kiss on her lips. She struggled to touch the shadow then he noticed it was her husband's jawline. Her eyes then flew open to sight the hunky-dory peace in the room. Everything was perfectly fine. No killings. No captives, no captor and his handsome husband Temi was grinning away at her. For the umpteen time she was happy all that happened was just a nightmares. "Hey what's happening? You look unhappy" "I just had a dream. A nightmare rather and it wasn't a good one." Mirabel yawled out to Temi who put on unflurried face. "baby I'm scared" "It's just a dream sweet and nothing more. Is that why you are unhappy ?" "Baby you need to hear this. It's about you being a d ...." Temi quickly curtailed her by giving her a kiss. "How about we prepare for today?" He asked trying to repudiate whatever the nightmare his wife had. Anything didn't matter to him more than what was about to happen that morning. And he wouldn't bare to tarnish it with anything. "Prepare for what ?" Mirabel asked "Our six years anniversary" Temi grinned more as he planted candy kisses all over her. "i love you so much" "I love you more" her mouth whispered back while her mind chided away the horrid dream she just had. Tbc ...[/b]

Their granitic faces wore happiness as the muffled groan of pain left Dr.Banji's mouth. Watching the death of the killer of his little son was a thing of joy for Muftau. Even though he never really got enough satisfaction, because, he knew Dr.Banji had cronies, as well as caucuses who they all engaged in malign deeds just to boost their wealths. And he really wished he could deal with them just as he did with Banji, but he never trusted the strength of him and his fallible crooks against the whole deadly "Sagutarys" But all the same, for the main time his little son death had been avenged. And that should be enough to subdue his ire on the Sagutarys for the moment. They lurked around the building for more time than necessary just to confirm the death of Dr.Banji. Mufau wouldn't leave any loops hole. He even wondered how extent loathly Dr.Banji may have appeared to his neighbours who refused to grant him aid despite all his shout and grunt that rented the air. "This man is a devil and the people around him know that as well. No wonder no one is coming to help him" he muttered under his breath. The four blighters were still on their crime scene when some anon looking men surrounded them. The men who were disguised in police uniform had Kalashnikov riffle decorating their hands. Their faces ebbed unfriendliness aura like the typical Nigeria police force but Muftau was still cocksure they weren't one. "You are under arrest. Drop your weapons now! or you will be forced to drop them" came a croaky voice from one of the fiercely sham policemen Muftau and his goons got frightened albeit the fact they knew they were only trying to be ostensible. They had to surrender. Nobody dare prove stubborn not even when the Kalashnikov riffles had dosed them with silence pills. The goons that followed Muftau had started to cower under their valence but Muftau held a rigid face. Their captors successfully stacked them inside their waiting pickup van then zoomed off. All of them except Muftau was still being strained by the silence pills. As they couldn't even utter a dime, they just remained dormant. "So where you na dey carry us go now ?? Muftau breathed out mulishly feeling bolshy and cold. Why the policemen that guarded them from escaping only scoffed in irritant. "Where police they carry criminals like you go ?" One of the police later retorted leaving everyone of them in affright mode. Could it possible they are real police squad ? Burning Dr.Banji to death had been a mere risible adventure to them. Even more, no matter how deadly they think they could be, they got to accept their captors were more deadly than the viper. With handcuffs on them, and timorous look underway, they awaited their fate. Just like they expected, an improbable tall man appeared before them. Plausibly he must have tailed them down there but they had no idea. The man stood more than 6 ft tall, shelving his virile masculine body in a a armless black shirt and dungaree black trouser. His cute face looked younger but the grey bushy hair on his head would make one mistake him for some old hotheads and the stubble on his cheek plus the goatee hanging on his jaw gave him perfect description of kingpin of the underworld. It had been two days since he was burnt by his incendiary, Muftau and his crook but was lucky he hadn't been incinerated despite the fact he was already burnt down to be recognized as hell's victim and even dead. Life already left him. But his body was still staying complete. And that was the part where the toppingly Lazarus pit would prove it demonstration. The fifteen orphic men who were fully prinked in a black suit, bowtie, and black hat outriding perfectly on their heads stood circumventing a pond. The pond could be small but was groined enough to contain a six feet tall man with a macho body of Hulk Hogan. The water inside the pond always stay carmine but was known to always change to quartz one whenever it successfully performed the miracle of resurrection. Dr.Banji's cadaver was dipped inside the carmine water while the chant of magical spells from all the Sagutarys member tore the entire room. "Dorme ci Le beau bu" they continued chanting, probably in their billionth time for hours without even the slightest jiggle from Dr.Banji's cadaver. Life refused to come back to him. Then the leader of the Sagutarys opted for an alternative. Don. Amid was a braw tight looking man with an aura of fearfulness which made his followers to cower at his umbrage. More so, he was someone who had grown matured adeptness in the use dark magic and even one of the factoid of the cultus had it that Don.Amid was the pioneer of the Lazarus pit. The extremely powerful water pond he uprised through dark magic to resurrect the premature death of any of his members. But it was also said that when the pond refused to bring back the dead, then it meant the person had reached his time to depart to the afterlife. So there was no amount of dark magic or Lazarus pit that could awaken such person. But Don.Amid was overconfident enough to believe Dr.Banji was sent to heaven in a speedy usain bolt mode. So it was not yet his time and surely he must come back. "Stretch out your left arm" he required with a commanding tone while they obeyed even when they had no inkling idea of what he wanted to do but no one dare raise an eye brow to the great Amid. "The Lazarus pit needs enough blood to resurrect out dear brother and we are all going to donate some for him. We can't afford to loose him when his battle has just started." Don.Amid informed and strutted to where a very sharp flick-knife was laying. He picked it up, creased his shirt up, cut himself till blood purled out and he quickly moved towards the Lazarus pit to drip the blood inside. Something each of them imitated immediately they watched Don.Amid. After their direful donation, they all stood and anticipated for the what would come up next and to their utmost believe, the water in the pond started to croon rather soughing , while it steamed out very slowly on the surface bringing out an exultant smile on their faces. Then there was an halo that appeared and surrounded the pond introducing some sort of evaporation for roughly hundred seconds. Finally everything die down while the carmine water turned crystal white bringing to view the new and crispy Dr.Banji in his busk-nakedness as he rose up and came to the circle of his coven. His pustule skin had been washed away and replaced with incandescence. "Welcome back our Dr.Ban" voices chorused happily welcoming him back to planet earth while he only stared at them like a bedazzled tot. Of course he remembered everything. All his atrocities in his previous life played back to him instantly and he even the way he died. He remembered he rued all his atrociousness before he died even craved to right all his wrongs. Maybe this was the right time for him to do so. "Thank you brethren, for for for bringing me back. I know it was my foolishness and great mistake that got me killed but nevertheless all i will say is I'm sorry. And i really appreciate you for bringing me back to life" Dr.Banji finished maintaining his bedazzlement while Dr.Pen walked up to him. Dr.Pen had always been the information bearer of their deucedly mammon group and because of his distinguish metier he was chosen to always decipher and pass message from the great Sagutaryam to the Sagugtarys. "Your apology is accepted as well as your appreciation. Even though you failed to heed to the warning i pass across to you 24 years ago about your doom." "Dr.Pen i apologise for my mistake. For not erasing the boy before he full-fledged but then the boy never appeared to be a doom. Because he was in love with my daughter and he never had reason kill her just like the prophecy stated that he would kill all my household" "But he killed your first son" Don Pen quickly riposted trying to prove Dr.Banji wrong. "And he saved my life" Dr.Banji yelped back with a dauntless stare at Dr.Pen. "He had a chance to kill me but he didn't. He had a chance to kill my daughter he didn't. To kill my wife he didn't. Now tell how is he a doom ?" "Ban is better you don't tread the path that led to your death again." Don. Amid pranced towards unclad Dr.Banji with a blazing look enough to quench the bickering between the two. "This boy is still a doom and nothing can change that. You see let me tell you what you dont know" Amid stooped down to meet Dr.Banji's height. " Destiny can only be delayed it can never be denied. Your failure to erase that little cockroach twenty-four years ago had made him turned to an elephant ready to destroy anything now. And my fears now is that, everybody is now his victim, another prophecy has been conceived and it is stated that the boy is doom of all the Sagutarys" "Doom of the Sagutarys. How come ?" Dr . Banji queried looking puzzled. "Don. Ban war is coming and the only way to triumph the war is killing that boy. He is still ignorance of status as a monster and that of course should give us edge over him." Amid purred out more and more to deter Dr.Banji who he noticed had suddenly come back to life to be change person. And definitely it seemed their tactics was working on him. They dare not loose a stoic member just like that, not even when there was a horde of sanguinary battle ahead of them. In the nearest future. Dr.Banji too stood transfixed in dilemma. Trying to pick the right choice, for the sake of himself and his household. He couldn't imagine going gory all over places again even in the name of killing a doom. A doom that had him at gun point sometimes ago and yet couldn't kill him. He had rued all his atrocities and barbarities in his previous life and now that he had the chance to stave off from them he would gladly do it. Maybe it was a right time for him to be the perfect gentle adult he ought to be. "Is either you be with us or you are against us. Don't make be an ingrate for giving you a second chance" Don Pen's final words sank deep into him and pierced his heart into nibbles. "Just to let you know this, if we dont kill the boy before he turns the monster to destroy us all, then there is only one person that will be able to stop him and that's is no other person than your daughter Mirabel. Chapter 4 After few days Dr.Banji was resurrected by his mammon gild, decision were made for him to withdraw his identity to sanctum, at least for the appropriate time. He was not allowed to reveal his resurrection to anybody not even his daughters which was much more to his dissatisfaction. Dr.Banji had no choice than to zap off his intention of appearing before his daughter, Dami, Eliza and Temi and all the people that had one way or the other savored or perhaps tasted a mouthful of his malignity in his previous life. Of course there was no way he could reach out to all of the people who had fallen as his prey, most especially the slew of children he used for the narcissistic sacrifice to the bestial Sagutaryam. However, he was still willing to reach the ones he could and ask for their forgiveness. And those are people he believed he smote most because they were closer to him more. But now that Don.Amid had spoken and wanted him to go hiding, instruction he could not rebuff due to the fact that he believed somehow he was still a scot and lot to the Sagutarys. And moreover, since he had come to realise that the ignoramus Sagutarys would not back off from their wonky mission of killing an inexistence doom, he had decided to blend with them so he could snoop on all of their moves and detect the ones that pose as threat to his household. He was ready to be a changed man and perhaps right all his wrong. But if he was successfully going to accomplish his mission then he had to stay being a Sagutaryar. So exactly one week after his renaissance to planet earth, Dr.Banji travelled down to Texas State in USA for a constrained vacay. While the rest of the Sagutarys lay dormant but not after planting Richie a very useful and pernicious puppet in the hands of the Sagurtaryars to keep Temi and his family on twenty-four hours proctor incase Temi starts transmuting the abscess of his doomy nature. There would be no need for them to moot before they smite him to death. ______________ The sturdy but beautiful woman that sat on an expensive cushion decorating an expensive sittingsroom flipped through the pictures arranged in album in her hands. Her risque face prospered in hurt and pain as she seethed in anger at whatever the pictures she was flipping was telling her. It was the wedding pictures of Dami and Eliza as smiles hummed on their face. But unfortunately Racheal Fatoyinbo was really hurt beyond savvy as she checked out the pictures. She felt being cheated. It was just so freaky surprising that the hatred she contained for Eliza right from the day she knew her with Tunde down till when she later jabbed Dami from her hadn't deprecated a bit instead it apprised. Racheal had tried to let go of the resentment she felt towards Eliza but it wasn't easy. She couldn't let everything slide. She seemed to be enjoying the way she always made her weep in pain. Yes, Eliza's cry was her reason for laughter. Having recuperated speedily enough from the misery that struck her a year ago after Dami and Eliza wedding when Lukeman saved her. The Lad had considered showing her boss some pathos because she also did the same when Lance shot him then. Racheal took care of him till recuperation then asked him to retire back to his shell in which he obeyed. But Lukeman was surprised to see Racheal going deranged on the street with shabby sores littered around her once delicate skin. He felt pity for her and offered to help her. So Lukeman had to pick her up, admit her to an hospital that treated her back to sound health. But it was unfortunate that after Racheal Fatoyinbo fully convalesced from her illness, instead of letting the resentment she had for Eliza go, she decided to resume her quest for revenge. She was determined to ruin the bliss of matrimony that was spurting on their faces. She swore to bring tears on her face again and make both regret ever coming back. Inasmuch making her cry would inebriate her laughter. Then she was ready to make her cry for eternity so she could laugh for infinity. ___________________ Muftau watched as Captain blood drove them to an unknown destination. As a newly recruited artillery for the Destroyer, he had been trained not to question orders. So all he did was stay calm while Captain blood drove him to where he emphasised as a place to execute his final test and make him an halal Destroyer's soldier. Muftau's mind trailed back to Amina, the love of his life. It had been months they seen each other. And the last time was when he went to reek revenge on the killer of their little son. He had never had the opportunity to see her again since his constrained captured and recruitment to the Destroyer. He just wished he could festinate up with whatever revenge mission they were up to so he could go back to Amina. Muftau had been forced to ask all the piled questions of who the Destroyer was and why would he need him. But Captain Blood had tersely replied him that the Destroyer was someone who seek to annihilate the race of the all of a dreaded group called Sagutarys including there households. And it needed people with mien resentment towards them. Inasmuch he was a victim of their their malignant, so the Destroyer had found him useful to accomplish the plight. However, Captain Blood made it known to him that they would still be in need of a mega weapon who was destined to help the Destroyer exterminate all of the Destroyer's enemies. Even though the person was yet to admit or perhaps he thought he could scat away from his destiny. But they would help him acknowledge it in the nearest future. That he was a beastly creature destined to kill and not to save. Destined to annihilate all of the Destroyer's enemies. The car hummed to a stop bringing Muftau back from his reverie. While he Captain blood flung the door opened. "Captain but what are we up to ?" He croaked out to the perilously good looking man that kept silence much more to Muftau's annoyance. But he immediately climbed down from the car and followed him up. Not long after their walk they stormed a nongregarious wood which brought cold shuddering to his spine. He was totally incognizant of where they were or there motive there. But they hadn't walked much when Muftau met the shocker of his life. Muftau saw his girlfriend, aged mother and his younger sister trussed down like lethal criminals. Amina and his younger sister Noimot were tied together with a very strong shackle while the older woman who her face construed someone in her late 80s too was tied to a lone tree. While a guy which Muftau later learnt to be called Sting pummeled the old woman with his fist while he guffawed loudly much to Muftau frenzy. "Muftau, where have you been ? We've searched for you" Amina snivelled out to him. Amina and Noimot were worried after they waited for Muftau's return the day he went out to get her girlfriend a surprise package but they were so unlucky when they felt into the snare of Stink that had kept on exhausting different series torture on them. Wild fury shot out from every nook and cranny of the veins in his body. He wished he had the abilities of Clark Kent of Smallville or wizardry power of Zeddicus Zurander of the Seeker, then he wouldn't have to ponder before squeezing life out of Stink and Captain Blood melting pain on her mother, sister and lover. "This is your chance to prove your total conformity to the Destroyer." He heard Captain Blood growled while he tugged his hand into his holster and slid out his revolver. "Take this and finish them up" Captain Blood handed him the revolver. While the atmosphere was filled with uproarious whimpers,begging and cry from the trussed captives. "Remember if you fail to kill them, then the Destroyer destroy you all" Blunt voice of Captain Blood oozed out a warning to him as he walked away with Sting. He saw tears teem down from the eyes of his love, Amina, Noimot and his mother sister and hated himself that very moment. He regretted not ever listening and following the way of Islam his parent guided him to. And also hated the reason why he embarked on avenging his little son's death. Little did he know that he was putting the life of the people who was so dearly to him at stake. Muftau corked the pistol and bring it to action. Pointing it squarely to the head of the people he treasured most in life. His tear gland seemed to be erupted as it secreted more tears from his eyes. "Muftau I'm pregnant with our baby" he heard the wispy voice of Amina that made him quail for some seconds. He remembered the promise to he made to her that he would protect her everyway he could. So this was how he was about to discard it. "Brother you don't want to kill us so don't do it" Noimot voice followed suit bringing the lovely old memories he had with his sister. "My son it's not too late for you to come to the way of Allah" his mother's voice nailed it. But Muftau shook his head in despair while he resolved he had gone too far to come back. He couldn't afford to turn back on the Destroyer now. Just too far to return. "To late to come back" he whispered as he pressed the trigger. Three shots rang in the air. To be continued.. Chapter 5 [b]PRESENT TIME[/b] It was exactly 6 years after Temi and Mirabel was joined in matrimony and they decided to celebrate the blissful union. The lively anniversary was only attended by their closest intimate families and friends. Friends like Inspector Lance, Tunde Ogunyemi were present while families including Eliza, Dami, Sofia and Mrs Laurel Williams - Mirabel's younger sister and mother. Laurel -Mirabel's mother had refused to tote the name of the father of her daughter, because of the obvious fact that she wasn't a legal wife to Dr.Olanbanji but there was no way she could eviscerate the name from her daughters, because even though they were illegal children but the fact remained that his blood run in their vein. The anniversary was supposed to be gusto,or let me say it was, but not for Mirabel. She had only tried to hide under the facade of wanly smiles and gestures through out the celebration. Her mind greatly troubled. And that was because her mind never left the shuddery nightmare she had the night before. She was greatly perturbed. She believed the dream was a kind of augury or preindication to her. Something she shared with her father. Even though she never doubted that her husband -Temi would ever harm them. But something in the dream made it looked like she had a clear revelation of their future. And to top her tempestuousness, Temi had waved off the dream like some insignificances. Mirabel noticing her clairvoyance wouldn't make her rest, she walked up to where Lance was sitting inside the porch of the magnificent building. She was besoted to notice Lance wasn't even alone. Lance was with her sister. And the way she met the atmosphere, she noticed something more than friendship was going on between them. "hey little silly" she dubbed "Sorry you mind borrowing him for minutes" she pointed to Lance who was beginning to enervate. "Sure yes yes big sis. But you said minutes i don't wana stand waiting up there for hours" she murmured as she flounced away from the porch leaving Mirabel and Lance. "So you two are now ?" "Together? Yes." Lance reposted. " Oh i see." She cooed noddingly ."But i can kill you if you break her heart" "Not when i walked her down the isle first" he countered jokingly. "Okkkkk.. You know what Lance lets get serious. I wana tell you something but i don't know how to present it so you won't see me as some sort of psychopath" "And what is that? Tell me. I promise i won't do that" He assured her trying to notice how rattled she was and more than eager to hear whatever was disturbing her. "Ok. Emmm. Lance.. Have you ever heard about some thing or whatever thing called the Destroyer ? I mean properly in your line of work ?" Mirabel blathered while Lance had his nerves calmed to think through. Of course his spate experiences in his detective work had thought him to think through before jumping into conclusion. "Destroyer?" He called out again stressing each syllable for a fraction of one second, seemingly befuddled. "Where did you get the name Mirabel ?" "Ook. This is the weirdest part . I got the name from a nightmare. " she croaked stutteringly. "You got it from a dream ?" Lance was gobsmacked. " So how about you narrate the dream" "Sure" she heaved a sigh before she narrated the dream to Lance whose gobsmacked face had turned puzzled yet he could easily detect something wasn't right. "You have anything else you saw in your" "Yeah, a whole lot of scarier things" "Scarier things like ?" "He had this mark on his left hand. Something that look like an insignia or so" Mirabel misstated. "Oh do you know how the mark look like. Is it a drawing ? Tattoo or anything ?" Lance probed more "Yeah. Something like a tattoo ?" She replied. "You know what ? Just calm down Mirabel. This just a dream. It isn't happening ok ? But i promise to do a little search around and see if i could i get something." Lance spluttered even after knowing fully well that something something so abstract doesn't bulge an investigation. But at least, he was willing to do a dink probing just incase to smoothen any rough end. "Please do something Lance. You know ..Temi i love him. I don't wana loose my husband now and the father of my children" "I know you do. And you know he is also my friend too. So i won't let anything bad happen to him" Lance hardly finished peaching out but when they both heard flutter of some people in the sitting room. They immediately leapt towards the sitting to catch a good look of the cause of the fluttering. And immediately they got there, to say they were bedazed was an understatement at what was happening in front of them. "Mr Temi, you are under arrest for the killer of Derick Olabanji. You have the right to remain silence or anything you say may or will be use against you in the court of law. Knowing fully well you have a right to contact your lawyer and if you can't afford the government is willing to provide you one" one of the police man spieled off to Temi as he cleaved his two wrist together behind his back with an handcuff and pushed him toward their waiting van. "Noo noo.. It can't be" Mirabel shook her head confusingly. "Dad dad" Tony and Tonia yelled after him but the police men shoved him aside while Temi shook his head. "Please take care" he muttered, but to no one in particular but it was certain everybody took the words to heart including Eliza who had started shedding her wonted tears. __________ At the extreme nook of the street was a young chap draped in black top, black jeans with a black hand glove. His name was Richie. The chap pulled out his phone and punched in some numbers before talking to the phone. "What is the situation Richie ?" A steep broad voice sluiced out the phone. "He has been absquatulated." The young chap replied forcing himself to be laconic. "You have any idea who they are ?" The broad voice pressed further. "Not really but I'm sure they are police" "Ok.Follow up closely and update me" the steep voice man toned and ended the call. To be continued ...

Chapter 6 As Temi was being arrested and driven away, he never stopped thinking of how his past life had come caught up with him. the swingeing life he thought he had successfully outstripped and already died in hades had come back hunting. It was true he killed Derick, but that was the only innocent life he took and he had since rued over it. Perhaps, he still had to pay and this the only way. But whatever the case turned out to be he was willing to compose and glom the punishment he was entitled to. Few minutes down the road Temi noticed they weren't on route that led to any police station around. And he also never failed to notice the couthy look that stayed on their faces unlike the typical naija police officers who always wear the most beetle-browed look and demeanour that go against their locution "POLICE IS YOUR FRIEND." Temi was doubting that whoever the people that had come to arrest him were nothing close policemen. But how come were they able to dig deep into his past and used that to cozen him to arrest. "Who are you people?" He asked throwing his question to the one he thought had the most calmness look out of the four. But instead of getting any response to his baloney question, he got a good gesture that explained everything is alright. As the man with the calmness look dipped his hand into his pocket and brought out a key to unlock the cuff cleaving Temi hands together and he threw more friendly look that scribbled to him that he was on save hands. But how long would his safety linger in the hands of postiche policemen. He exhaled deeply and never planned to reciprocate the calmness flipped at him by the bunch of postiches. For all he cared, they were still kidnappers if they weren't credulous policemen, because to him, only credulous policemen in this inside Nigeria would loose handcuffs from the hands of the arrested suspect. Temi decided not to bother any one of them with unnecessary oppugn since they were determined to remain tacit . He had also decided to stay glued to his tor -inherent taciturn side even though he was never going to loose his guard. Since his handcuffs had been ridded of him, thanks to their naivety; he was ready to throw punches and usurp anything that could help him escape especially the M-1 rifle resting comfortably in the hand of one of his captors if need arose. But 30 minutes later, Temi found themselves sledding down a derelict road that led to what looked like an abandon warehouse. He was worried. Very worried. He just confirmed they were not going to a police station like his thought auspicated -that was a reprieve at one side. He wouldn't be bothered by going to jail or going through any form of jurisprudence that could prick him to pay for his past. But then, he couldn't rule out any possibility of danger looming, because their identities of were still oblivion to him. Nothingness, he would never let his worries sink him deep into the pool of cowardice. "I said who are you people" he asked again with more seriousness but was disappointed when his abductors remained surd as if they were freaking scared of talking. Temi boiled with rage but decided to tame it down and acted along. Of course not letting his guard down. He was cocksure nothing could kill him, not after he had puttered over so many death maws in 6 years ago. So these clump of nincompoops should have a rethink if they actually think they can tame him to his death. He was not easy to be get killed. The van pulled to a stop at the very warehouse and everyone of his abductors quickly flew down from the vehicle while Temi hesitated. He needed to study the environment very well before anything albeit when it occurred to him that it his abductors had become less interested in him. Maybe it was a game or one of their pseud plans for him get killed, Temi was very cautious but fearless and sensitive to react to any pin drop at the warehouse. "Come down and follow me" a voice shrilled out to him. He turned and stared at him for milliseconds before opting to obey the instructions. The chap led him inside the heavily scrimpy warehouse down to an inner chamber that was located at the extreme end of the warehouse. Temi eyes roved around the place just incase anything could pique his interest. But unfortunately he find nothing. The warehouse was gross scanty and nothing of interest was ready to pique him; well except for a sign or mark that sat atop the entrance of the chamber inside the warehouse. He remembered he saw the mark on the left hand of the couthy dude that ridded of his cuffs inside the van. They both entered the chamber to meet a fiercely lanky and handsome man inside the chamber. The man was putting a long black boilersuit that almost touched his ankle with a black chapeau that did well in covering his grey hair. The big black eyes glasses on his eyes too were hiding his perfect cute eyes. The dressing of the man whisked back the memory of when he used to be a killer and especially the night he went to hunt down Pizzarow and his boss. That was the exact way he dressed up then. All what he had witnessed for the meantime had jumbled something to him. His delusory arrest from their wedding anniversary, the ferocious chaps that came to arrest him; they may look friendly to him but Temi knew they were nothing but a lethal weapon. The extreme measures they took to delve deep into something concrete to arrest him, the mark hanging on everywhere at the warehouse including the hands of the chaps and the man standing right in front of him, all these symbolized what predicted something was about about happen. Something he had hoped he was never coming back to. "Captain, here is he" the chap that accompanied him to the champer announced to man Temi concluded to be muckamuck of some sort. "Good. Resume your position Muftau" the Captain man snuffed out to dismiss the chap while Temi watched him disappear from the chamber leaving the two of them. "So who are you people and what do you want from me?" Temi spat out to the Captain immediately Muftau disappeared. "Call me Captain Blood." The man croaked out coldly, intentionally trying to nettle him by ignoring his question. That was his normal demeanour to his new recruits. He used that to stew them and eventually make them to fear him like a Captain he was. "Dang that man! I said what do you want from me" Temi slammed his fist together. A sign he was already peeved and not ready to slink back to being coward. "I know you are Temi. A very deadly and also a compassionate killer." Captain Blood nettled him more and made to remove his glass and smirked at him. He knew Temi was already angry but he liked it that and in fact he really was enjoying every bit of it. "I said who are you" Temi strode towards him and held him tightly by the collar of his broiler suit with his right hand while his left hand slid inside his body and delved out a pistol from the holster pinned to his belt loop. "Tell me what you people want from me before i blow your skull" Temi yelled as he corked the gun and constricted it to his head ready to press the trigger. Captain Blood was stunned at the little stunt Temi just played on him. How hell did he know he had a gun on him ? Even Sting he thought was the most deadly and astute of all his men could not prove that stunts. Definitely, Temi was the chosen one for the task. The Destroyer had made the right choice for them. "You wouldn't want to do that around here. That's suicide for you" "Pow pow" two shot rang in the air bringing everybody to stamped inside the chamber. "Next shot goes through your brain. Now tell me what you want from me" Temi blurted realising the ruckus he had caused. "Drop the gun now or i blow your head off" A braw voice echoed behind me making him more peeved instead of being fearful. "No no no .. Sting everything is under control. He can't shoot me. Just return to your position" Captain Blood groaned under Temi's grip. "But Captain he is" "Pow" Another shot blared from the gun he was holding and Sting's automatic dropped from his him while blood sputtered from his hands. He shrieked and tumbled down. Temi having achieved his feat turned his face back to Captain Blood with the most sanguineous eyeshot he could muster. "Tell me what you want from me or i swear i will spill the remaining bullets into your skull" "Your destiny. We want to reinstate your destiny Temi" Captain Blood groaned out. To be continued ..

Chapter 7 • • "My destiny ? Which destiny?" Temi's eyes curved out more glacial look as Captain Blood spewed out what he termed as ridiculous nonsense. He tittuped forward to meet him while still holding the gun with more vigour intensifying his sanguinary eyeshot on him. Captain Blood sighting the blatancy on Temi's face knew definitely he had spewed more enough to offend him. But still, he felt justified to tell him that way. Moreover, there was no better way to tell him that he hadn't escaped his virulent destiny and as a matter of fact the last phase he went through with his foster father- Tunde Ogunyemi was just a preparation and also bobsleigh to the real flick, but just that this type of flick wasn't the fictional type where everything wasn't real. This type was the realest type that real blood must flow to save some. To save his. "You are a doom remember? A destined doom to end the race of someone you failed to and instead you protected. Now we are here to help you reinstate it" Captain Blood cowered under the imperium figure of Temi over him with his fist still held tightly to the pistol. No one would ever imagine that the high and mighty authoritative Captain Blood could turn to be a bloody coward or someone who would easily slogged back to timidity on facing just a slight varmint display of Temi. Definitely those were the vestiges that Temi was indeed chosen by the Destroyer to annihilate everything. "And what makes you think i want it to be reinstated ? Why do you think i want to be the doom ?" Temi purred out enjoying his dominance over the strong man while smirking at Sting who had recuperated from the stinking pain that supped the hand he was being hit by Temi. Sting looked swivet as their puissance Captain cringed under the Temi. He was now certain that whoever this Temi was, then he would be ten times pernicious compare to him. One thing that had kept Sting above other Captain's men was his personal-mantra that says "Look strong even when you are weak within" So Sting had always carried a good-looking brute face with him anywhere he went, even while relating to all the everyone in the Destroyer's league. However, as pernicious as Sting looked there was someone that softened him a little bit. That person was also responsible for the gnomish smile that seldom played on his lips. That person was Rhamort Cleopatra; Captain Blood's only abducted daughter. "Because failure to do so means the beginning of your death" Captain Blood uttered while trying to recover his lost gutsiness. He knew his words was definitely going to do wonders to calm Temi him and perhaps subdue him. "Beginning of my death ?" Temi scoffed, "I bet you and all these your tiny little insects would go after me and kill me ? Humm ?" Temi said pointing to Sting who still hunkered on the floor like a exhausted soldier. "Don't be stupid boy! We can't kill you. Because we see you as our saviour here, so no one would ever lay a finger on you." "So who is going to kill me if i don't accept your offer ? "Temi asked as he strutted round Captain Blood with his two hands behind his back "Give their names to me and where to find them so i kill them." He stopped in front of Captain Lance dashing out a more glacial look on him while Captain blood only sighed and pondered on how slavish Temi was. Even if he was going to kill them then he would still be indirectly answering to his destiny calls. However, what he said could be meaningful but he definitely knew well that it came from his ignorance concept. The same people that would kill him if he failed to join the Destroyer league were also the reason he had to join them. Because, whether he joined them or not they would surely going to hunt him down and kill him eventually. "I'm not sure you can do that" Captain Blood shook his head. "I will. Just give me names" Temi maintained vehemently. "Mirabel" Captain Blood mentioned tersely. "What's with Mirabel ?" Temi hurled out a blanched confused stare on Captain Blood. "She is your doom just like you are his father's doom and the rest of the Sagutarys." "What ? Ohh i can see you've grown wings in being a perfect slicker! You are liar. Dr.Banji is dead! And there is no more doom any where. For the past six years we've been save. So no one is coming and no one is a doom! Mirabel ia mother of my children and she can kill me" Temi yelled fixing his dun stunning eyes on Captain Blood while trying to quash the urge to press the trigger and spill the remaining bullets into his skull. But Sting was sure he didn't feel this bad when Captain recruited him six years ago and had him pointed a gun to his beloved mother and father then. Even though he had hesitated then, but it was nothing compared to the time Muftau was asked kill his household and he was sure his bereft state was not up to Temi who had really gone crumbled on merely hearing something that has never happened. "Temi, if you had killed Dr.Banji and his household then everything would have been over. But your failure to so, your destiny had matured more than just killing Dr.Banji and his household. You are now destined to annihilate every one in the Sagutarys league including Mirabel who will soon be initiated into their mist. And that's where and why you need to join the Destroyer" Captain Blood patted him on the shoulder with a shrewd temerity that meant he was finally in control. "We can help you reinstate your destiny. We can help you control your new forthcoming abilities" Temi listened with heavy heart as the thought of how his foster father; Tunde successfully hoodwinked him then. Well she wouldn't kill you because you she stopped loving you, she would think she is protecting you from yourself. But nevertheless, she will kill you if you don't come back to us. We are the one that can save you from such situations. Please come back." Captain Blood words kept stabbing Temi's back even as he hoofed away from the warehouse. But he had reached his gumption of no turning back. He would always protect Mirabel no matter what and no doom or arch destiny would dare obtrude in their affair. Temi hadn't walked far away from the warehouse when something like a syringe hit him at the back of his neck and immediately the syringe had slopped all is liquid content inside him. His body grew asthenic as his strength faded away. His eyes closed gradually and only his ear could pick something reasonable words out of all the gibberish Captain Blood and his men were saying. "We are switching to plan B eventually. And you Rhamort as from today, this is your call" Temi heard Captain Blood last words as he lost to unconsciousness. To be continued...

Chapter 8 Temi opened his eyes rubbing away the dankness obscuring him. He roamed his clammy eyes round his surroundings to notice he was in a familiar place. He had expected to be transported to another place or perhaps, Captain Blood to have held him interned since he had spurned his offers and he already had tried to hibernate him there. But why on earth did they let him go after they had nerve to inject him with substance that made go torpor ? Well, time would tell. "My love you are awake. Thank God" Mirabel shmoosed out with echt love and concerned gleaming out from her face. She had Temi's head rested on her laps all day. While her hands had never rested from scudding all over her husband's face. Eliza, Dami and Inspector Lance had been glancing oftentimes at the watch while hoping Temi make it back to consciousness. The caller who gave them a lead on how to recover his body had informed them no to worry about his torpidness when they see him. That he would surely make it back to consciousness in good state at exactly one hour after they found him. Lance who had gone addled after the kidnapping of Temi. He had tried to put calls to every nearest police station nearby requesting if there was an order to carry out an arrest on their location but each every of the stations had denied vehemently bringing Lance and Mirabel to notice Temi was kidnapped and not arrested by pseud men in rig of police officers. Lance had talked everyone out to be patient for maximum of five hours for Temi's return, and if Temi didn't show up he would swing to action. They were on their waiting spree when an anonymous caller on Mirabel's phone gave them headway on how to recover him. Lance had quickly resiled to sieve out enough information about the kidnappers from the caller. To him, he was bent on nabbing the crimp men who did well to dig deep into Temi's past. Retrieving Temi back from them had never been his major concern, or perhaps a least of his concern. Napping the crimp that dug deep into Temi's life and used it to kidnap him was his major concerns. For it could be a reason to blackmail his dear friend in which he determined to thwart for them. Temi was his friend and he was ready to fight on his course. "Sweetheart, Lance, Mum, Dad; how did you guys find me ?" Temi groaned out as all his loved once rushed up to him chanting his name. Temi noticed the care in all of their eyes. The love spieled on their faces especially Mirabel made him realise in his zillions time that his lovely wife and family would never betray him according to what the dang Captain Blood and crew vaticinated. "An anonymous caller described where to come and pick you. Hope you are fine dear. Hope those bastards didn't touch you ? What happened over there? Why did they kidnap you ? And how did they found out about your past ?" Questions kept sploshing out everyone mouth. Torrid questions that could send him back to the state of torpidity he just revived from. However, relieve slid in when Lance begged everyone to live him alone with Temi. Tim for him to swing to action and ask question he needed to spring into main shoofly mission. "So man hope you are feeling better ?" Lance asked "yeah i think i am. Thanks thanks man"Temi groaned playing out smirk to Lance "So anything you wanna talk about them kidnapper ? Anything you see or feel that could lead me to them" "You wana go out for them ? Hello No! Lance. You can do that. Have got everything under control.. This people are way to dangerous for you to handle" Temi tattled out carefully, while shrivelling Lance interests on the deadly Destroyers. "Dangerous ? Temi I'm only trying to help you out here. I mean this people know about your past ?" "Lance! Its okay. You don't have to worry about that. I already got it handled. Ook ?" Temi sputter with a tone of finality. Why Lance gave a gawky grin as a sign of resignation on Temi's face but deep down he knew he just started. ______________________ Rhamort Cleopatra. Spiffed up in a taut blue fitted jeans that did justice to flaunt her dreadful killer contour. Her white straightway-to-kill top covered her glowing skin. Saying Cleopatra was beautiful was an understatement. Cleo could be said to have possessed a rare beauty like that of goddess diva. Her sexy dimples had a major way of keeping men crawling under feet. Her smile was ready to heal the broken heartedness. While her arrow curved lips and chromatic eyeballs could appeal Lucifer to quench the fire in hell. Rhamort Cleo was extremely beautiful, and also the fact was that she was the only abducted daughter of Captain Blood. And apart from she was beautiful specie, Rhamort was a prolific killer. Her killing prowess outwitted even that of her father and that of Sting which was known to be astute among the league. Rhamort was extremely beautiful and incredibly dangerous to any one that crossed her path. She had lost count of lifes she had killed. Killimg was part of fun to her. Rhamort had been mapped out by her father as one of the key persona to gain Temi on their side. Even though Sting -her buff was not happy at the decision. But Captain Blood decision was final and even Rhamort didn't give a dam about how Sting. It had been long she inebriate herself in the thrill of a mission like this. Rhamort was to be planted as a stoolie on Temi's tail while at the same time she needed to get closer to him; if possible make him fall in love with him in other to blarney him to joining the Destroyer league in preparation for the upcoming war between them and the Sagutarys. The most amusing part of his mission. Seducing a male specimen to fall for her was something she enjoyed. To Rhamort, both missions were dim-witted. A piece of an ice cake. As a professional stoolie and aphrodisiac seductress, snitching on Temi and making him fall madly in love with her would never be a problem. Till present, she still had countless of male species creeping to have a taste of her love, and among which was Sting. Rhamort had deliberately made the sturdy lad to fall for her just for the fun of watching how fawn he always reduced to whenever she came her way. Sting could be seen as the most gristly lad among the rest of the league, however, Rhamort enjoyed how he always slung back to being a coward when she was sighted by him. All because Sting had madly fallen in love with him in which she was not ready reciprocate anytime soon. "Daughter all you have to do is simple. It's so obvious that Temi is blinded by the love he has for an enemy- Mirabel. You need to make their love turn sour and win his love to your side. By so doing, the Destroyer will have our saviour to our side. Show him part of your postiche love and let him wangle on your toes like others do. And daughter, make sure to be cautious enough not to fall genuinely in love with him. Remember you can't fall in love" Captain Blood spilled out the stringy instructions to her daughter as she made to embark on her mission. "Alright father. I will turn the love between Temi and Mirabel to a sour bitterness. I will make him fall in love with me so we can have him to our side." Rhamort looked overly confident at his new mission. She had accomplished great dangly missions that had threatened to flop in the past, this new one was a pinch cinch of escapade to her. Rhamort thought arbitrarily; but little did she know that her newly acquired mission would change her world entirely. ______________ Richie punched on his keypad and quickly brought the phone to his ear. The phone rang instantly a familiar steep voice wafted out from the phone. "Target now around sir. I think he was abducted and not arrested as we early thought" "Abducted ? By who ?" "Not yet confirmed sir. But i opined to be the Destroyers because nobody could else have pulled such a subtle stunts sir." Richie replied. "The Destroyers ?" "Yessir!" "Okkkkk. Just stay focus on the target's movements and most importantly on Mirabel. Nothing must happen to her till we need her! " The steep voice commanded. "Yes sir" Richie bawled out as he ended the call already feeling heavy tedium even at the shortness of their conversation. Richie has never been a good talker or snitcher like was doing at the time, but he was perfect in being a sodding lover and also a thrill-killer. To be continued.

Chapter 9 • • • After Don Amid dropped the call from Richie he knew definitely well things had started going skew-whiff but just couldn't place the exact situation. Richie had fed him till satiety with information they needed to mount up their plans against the Destroyers but still the information being provided appeared to be hokum to him. So he thought the best way to stay ahead of their foes was by first protecting their own weapon of destruction which was Mirabel. Don Amid believed in prophecy and when the prophecy stated that Mirabel would be their saviour. The Sagurtarys concluded that protecting Mirabel and tearing her apart from her husband at all cost should be their prima task before anything else. Knowing fully well that there would be hovering jeopardy if the prophecy mistakenly got leaked to the Destroyers not even when she was even married to their doom- Temi. The Sagurtarys knew Mirabel would never accept to embrace her destiny if she and Temi were still together, so constricting their love too should be one hell prima of their task. Perhaps, tearing them apart could be the one way to protecting her and preserving her ahead for the destiny. So after so much expected haggle between them on how best to slime their relationship and to make her realise that her husband would expectedly turn out to be her worst enemy and her doom in the future, some suggested that Mirabel should be abducted and be forced to join the group but Amid never really liked the idea because the prophecy had warned that Mirabel must not be forced to be responsible for her destiny. Her decision must be consensual and she must embraced her destiny volitionally. Therefore, Amid had spieled out a very insidious measure to carry out the task. If protecting Mirabel was to tinge her love for her husband, then the best way to achieve that was to employ a professional sodding lover and their best thrill-killer they've got which was not anybody else than Richie. Richie felt happy when Don Amid contacted him and explained to him that his mission had been switched from being a snitcher to being a seducer. His new mission was dangerously simple. All he had to do was try all his best to smut Mirabel love for Temi, then try to win her love to his side so he could cozen her into recognising who she really was as the saviour of the Sagutarys. Simple. Yes simple but still dangerously simple because they knew the love between the couples was mighty even they doubted if Richie would succeed in the mission. But Richie had never flubbed any mission in the past , and so he had decided not to start with this one. He vowed to tear Mirabel and his husband apart even if that would be the last thing to do on this planet. He would make them loath each other to the point of killing each other. _____________________ The few weeks after Temi's return from the Destroyers league had been grimed with high gear of malaise. Even Mirabel knew something was not right with her husband. She had noticed how Temi had unwittingly remained taciturn in the house, always lost in the middle of frenzied discussions and sometimes, he mumbled out some gravid incoherence words from his sleep. These are symptoms Mirabel needed to know something was not right with him, and that was exactly after his abduction and return. Mirabel's worry was becoming visible at the spurt of the nightmare she had about how Temi murdered everyone. As the flashes of the nightmare came haunting, Mirabel was getting more dithered even Temi was turning to a different person. Mirabel had started to fear for the worst. But nevertheless, she still believed Temi would never harm them in anyway, and maybe if she could him to talk to her, then her fears would be allay. "Honey we really need to talk" Mirabel said with a serious look on Temi who had retired to bed. "Talk again ? But i told you nothing is wrong with me. I'm perfectly Okay " Temi spurted. He knew where Mirabel was heading to. He thought it was about there normal random bickering about what's-wrong-with-you-and-nothing-is-wrong-with-me discussion. Temi knew he had changed after his return from the Destroyers league. He now kept secrets. Even though it was the secret of who he really was and his wife as revealed by Captain Blood. He was not ready to accept the fact that him and his wife were destined to destroy each other and that had been the sullen secrets he was determined to bury inside of him and act normal in presence of everyone. But despite the fact the he was fighting for normalcy, he just couldn't cope with that anytime he remembered the augury conversation and that had always made him remain taciturn sometimes at his wife displeasure. But lately, things got very worse for him when he started having nightmares of him transforming to wild brute beast on rampage. He would see himself slowly transmuting, giving away his human form to the replacement of a new wild animal body. He grows claws on his fingers, his human head would slowly transmute to a fauna type while his legs flux to produce a forelimbs giving him a proper body of man-lycanthrope in which he used to lumber away into the night searching for preys. Then after that, he always go berserk. Temi always wake up to see Mirabel crying. But there was nothing he could do. The nightmares he has had always made him remember what Captain Blood told him about his ability. Captain Blood told him he has an imbibe ability that was yet to be manifested. Could being a wild beast on melee be the new ability Blood was talking about ? A calamitous ability? If that was the case then it was a curse on him and he would have to go back to Captain Blood. "Hey, I'm not talking about you this time" Mirabel quickly countered. "Really?" "Yeah. I wana talk about the dream i had on the night of our wedding anniversary" "Again ? But i thought i asked you not to worry about that. It was just a dream" Temi cooed out. "Yeah i know. But you killed us in the dream. You murdered everyone of us" "What ? Ar are you sure of what you are saying ?" Temi's heart momentarily stopped pumping blood. "Yes honey. You killed Sofia, you killed my mom and me. You were brutal in the dream and you have this beasty nature. You boasted you were immortal and nothing could harm you" Mirabel spilled more making Temi to shiver. Everything happening to him, from Captain Blood words, down to his own nightmares to his wifes was making horrid meaning to him. Something he was not ready to accept even at close range of death. "You know sweetheart?" Temi said as he came down from the bed and knelt beside his wife. "I want you to erase any trace of of what you saw in your dream. Trust me i can never and will never harm you in anyway. Believe me, i love you so much sweetheart" Temi confessed with utmost candor "I know. But im scared. With your latest behavior in the house you are making me scared. You failed to tell us who kidnapped you the other day, and i remembered it was all after the my nightmare all these things started happening. Your abductions, your strange behaviour. Baby can't you just tell me or Lance who kidnapped you ?" Mirabel complained bitterly. "I'm sorry sweetie. I can't tell you" Temi answered cognisant he was getting Mirabel more sad and being drifted her away from him. Bur to him keeping Mirabel oblivious of what was happening was protecting her from it. "You won't tell me ? Or did they have anything to do with the-d-d-destroyers?" Mirabel stammered "What ? Where did you get that?" Now Mirabel and even Temi himself knew his heart had stopped beating to life. For how hell could his wife come accros that name ? "In my dream. You said something like you are the messenger of the Destroyer. Temi tell me do you know anything, or anybody bearing that name ? I really want to know ?" "Please dear just forget about such horrible name. Okay? I love you and you love me that's all that matters. No dream or anything will separate us now. " Temi tried to assuage Mirabel who smiled wanly while deep down he knew Temi was hiding some bitter truth and she was ready to divulge hopefully with the help of Inspector Lance. "Ok sweetheart. I believe you and trust you will never harm me" Mirabel answered. They both kissed each other good night and retired to bed with their back against each other. While their eyes were wild opened and mind thumping hard on what next of action to take. While Temi was planing on returning to the Destroyers league, Mirabel was planing on how to unravel Temi's hefty secrets and if possible help him out. _____________ On monday afternoon, it was 30mins after the closing hour of the school. Tony and Tonia were parading the school premises waiting for their father to pick them up. Down at the extreme nook of the school was a young chap who eyes stayed glued to the young kids. It was obvious he was there to monitor Temi's children, Tony and Tonia. After about one hour of waiting, he noticed a black range rover sport arrived to pick the children. The look on the driver of the car made him remember how the young dude had narrowly escaped death from him. But he knew that was then. Because by the time his madame would be through this time around he would be the one to stuck a bullet in his brain and not his arm like before. Then, there would be nobody to come for his rescue just like afore. "Hello mama" he spoke to his phone to relay his latest discovery. "Lukeman what is it ?" "I just discovered the best way to execute our plans" he spoke with certitude. "That's good Lukeman. Just hold on for now.,i will let you know the appropriate time to strike. Remember i only need them as bait to get to that wench called Eliza and her jalopy husband" "Okay mama" Lukaman replied as he hung up. While his madame Racheal Fatoyinbo was targeting Eliza and Dami, he knew he had a different plans and it was about time he started planning to reed his own revenge on Temi. Chapter 10 It was another wasted journey to the Destroyer's league to see Captain Blood. Temi had thought going to see if the resplendently wicked handsome man could help him find solutions to the bedlam besetting him. But Captain Blood had not helped. Instead, he had reinstated to him that joining the league was the best solution and to letting go of his wife because she was more dangerous to him than a truculent viper. Something Temi didn't want to accept. His thought lumbered on how to save his now execrable family. Happiness and beatitude was fast seeping away from their once endearing family. It was obvious the trust, love confidence was growing attenuated day after day. While Temi was scared of the future - Mirabel being his doom. Mirabel was scared of loosing her lovely husband totally to distrust. Because she knew something so palpable was wrong with Temi but she wondered why Temi had taken exult in shrouding the problem away from her. "Maybe he should come clear with her. Maybe he should let his wife know all what's going perhaps that could be the perfect solution he grubbed for to end the misery eaten deep his lovely family" Temi thought as he raced toward their home. If he could confessed everything, regardless of the hovering consequences in edge maybe him and his wife could stick together and never let any destiny prevail over them. "Ignorance is a disease while knowledge is light" just as the locution says but knowledge could also be the only saving succor in perilous time like this. Temi thought if he insisted on enshrouding the whole knowledge from his wife then that could be the unwitting grand steps into the real tragedy. He could be playing right into it by withholding the truth. But revealing it to her could be their only succor. Since the infamous dreaded Captain Blood was bent on turning him to the monster he swore never to return to, he would rather squeal everything about the dang fate the dang future has for them to his lovely wife. Then maybe she would understand that they can re-write the fate of killing each other at the end just like how he re-wrote his in the era of his foster father." "Ring.. Ring .." His phone bleeped out. "Yes Hello!" He whiffed out to the bluetooth hanging on his left ear. "Temi is that you ?" the weird voice from the other end came unclutter and steep like sharp razor. "Yes, I am. So do i know you ?" Temi responded adopting the same gaucheness the question came by. "I am Muftau from the Destroyer's league." Came another epic reply from the weird caller making Temi to tramp on the break of his car while he swerved it to a side. He was jostling to know why a member of the Destroyer's league was calling him. "So Muftau what do you want from me ?" He whispered gratingly. "Look i mean no harm. I am calling to help you." Muftau stated bringing Temi to scoff. "You wana help me ? And what makes you think i need help ? And even if i do what makes you feel you are the right person to do that ?" Temi rasped out "I know you are looking for a way avoid some damn destiny Captain Blood blabbed to you about. I know you need help to avoid that and also i know I'm the only one on your side to stop the mission. So I'm in the position to help you out." Muftau dolled out while each of his words drilled straightaway into Temi's head. For what's worth it, if everything the so-called mystery guy spilled out could be true, then there was probably a light at end of his tunnel. Maybe there was a way to avert the grisly fate the future held for him and his wife. "You want to help me but how ?" "Lets meet at the address i will send to your phone shortly. And please endeavour to come alone" the line went dead. While Temi sighed and seeped in nothing from the suffocating air. He was confused. Totally confused. How could a mere chap claimed he could help him quash off the grim destiny when Captain Blood confessed there was none than to be a killer. Or could this be another way Captain Blood adopted to cod him into joining the league? Well he was ready to give a try. All he ever wanted was living a peaceful life with Mirabel and his children and he was determined to go any length to achieve that. Even if it meant daring any precarious task involved. All he wanted was peace to reign in his life. In his home. _____________________ Inspector Lance glared at the young lady sitting in front of him. The lady was passably pretty in her own way. This lady in her late 20s had an attire- (hijab) that glinted to everyone that she was an islamic practitioner had a young boy that his stature hinted he could not be more than 6 years old with him. Lance couldn't hold how nosey he was to know what two impeccant looking visitors to state what they were eager to see to see him for. He had resumed work late that morning and that's kudos to the night of bliss he had with Bimbo; his secretary and also his paramour. There dandling relationship kick-started the era Lance felt he actually lost Mirabel for Temi. There relationship was at first spiced with enough bliss and gusto. Bimbo was enjoying every bit of till he Sofia surfaced. Immediately Lance saw Sofia,he knew all he had for Bimbo was just an illusion that was never real. His love got weaned and his affection for Sofia triggered. Now the only crevice in their relationship was the fact that why Bimbo was serious and head over heel in love with Lance, Lance himself was finding it difficult to choose between Sofia and Bimbo. To be candid, he couldn't deny the love he had for Sofia surpassed the gnomish he had for Bimbo. But the main problem was dumping Bimbo for Sofia. He was scared he would shatter her heart if he dare breakup with her. Not when she had always fantasized about how their future would look like with their unborn kids. Lance had decided to stick to both of them till future unfolds what it had in for him. "So good morning, what's your name what can i do for you ?" Lance still maintained his glare on them as they grope for wooden chair in front of him. "Good morning sir. I am Amina by name and here is my son Abdulazeez. I am here to report an event that happened about six years ago to you and i really need your help on it" The so young grande dame uttered as he returned the stare Lance was drilling on her. "Ook. So what is the event and what is it about?" "Is about a deadly group called the Destroyers.. and .." "Wait! What did you call it ..? Lance curiosity prickled. He was sure he heard the name somewhere. "The Destroyers" Amina uttered again. Then it hit Lance. He recalled vividly that was the name Mirabel made mention she saw in her nightmare. So while he had tossed away the possibility of the name being real the name actually do exist in reality ? Lance sat right, sighed hard and let tranquillity held the atmosphere in his office before sayin anything more. He needed more than enough quietness to enjoy whatever the lady was going to divulge. "Sorry can i put this on record?" Lance asked while Amina nodded positive. "Good i'm all ears" Lance urged as he pressed the record button on his phone. Then Amina narrated how she and her boyfriend lost their first son to an unknown kidnappers long time ago. Then her boyfriend- Muftau out of fad and furry vowed to seek revenge for their son's death. And he was in his quest for revenge that a group of people kidnapped her and his mother. She explained that they were surprised when her boyfriend also was abducted and was commanded by their leader to kill them. But Muftau opted for a risky way to rescue them. Now for the past 6 years they have been ostracized from town but now that were back the Destroyers has been on their radar again. By the time Amina finished talking Lance was already colligating events of the past. The events that involved Dr.Banji kidnapping toddlers to satisfy his blood sucking god that provided him his ill wealth. He recalled very well that after the scrimmage of saving Temi's life in the hospital. The next lurid news that hit them was that Dr.Banji was incinerated to ashes in his house. Even though they were unable to probe out the main cause of the fire that icinerate him but they just let it slide. But now with Amina confession it appeared the killer of Dr.Banji was about to be unveiled and fortunately the most riveting part was that he was connected to the Destroyers; the esoteric mystery group even though he hadn't really grasp the part the league was involved in all what she crooned out "I heard everything you narrated. But i don't get why you think these people are associated to anything called the Destroyers" Lance inquire. "You know recently Muftau and I started communicating again. And he told me he was been held as comrade in the Destroyer league. He said he was trying to pull some strings together to escape so he can be with me and his son. Inspector I'm just here so you can help him out from whatever incarceration he is. I want to see my man again. You have no idea how i survived this whole six years fostering our child he is yet to see you without him by our side. I really want to see him again" Amina implored as flood of tears splurged out from her eyes. While Inspector Lance was goaded with curiosity to learn more about league Mirabel claimed that cozened Temi to a monster that exterminate everyone in her dream . "We'll get him back. I promise" Lance said with a lucent smile to restore hope to the bleak-minded lady sitting in front of him. Then he typed the keypad on his phone before bringing it closer to his ear. "Yeah.. Hello Mirabel can i see you now" __________________________ Mirabel was the only single soul in the eerie looking and heart crushing street. She was on her way from Inspector Lance office. Lance had updated her about his latest findings on the Destroyers. And she was happy she was finally getting to unfastened the grummet that had kept her in confused mode since the day she had the weird macabre nightmare about Temi. Mirabel knew her home was on sled of collapsing since Temi had decided to remain taciturn and keep his distance from her. But regardless of the situation, she was bent on uncovering whatever he was conceding and had vowed to save him in as much he was still in saving range. She hadn't gone far in the lonely street when her vehicle squelch to a stop abruptly. She climbed down from the vehicle to check the situation then he noticed one of his front tires had been spiked. Mirabel was still checking on her car when he felt something whisked towards and hit her neck. Immediately she slumped and loosed consciousness. Then some stunning ghoul and felon looking gents gaited towards her unconscious body. One of them kicked her to ascertain she was truly estivated before speaking to the bluetooth hanging on his left ear. "We got the package" he announced to whoever was on the other line. Then after Mirabel was gagged, tied with robe and dumped inside the booths of her car then they sped off to an unknown destination.. To be continued...

Chapter 11 • • • Captain Blood looked disturbed. His franticness displaying boldly on his countenance. His eyes darting around the place before resting it on Sting who had stood for eld on beck of him. "Captain i'm here" Sting schmoozed out as light as he could even though deep down he still nursed a rancor towards him. He believed Captain Blood deliberately sent Rharmort Cleo on the extraneous mission so he could drain way all the feelings he had for her before her return. Something that pained him but he couldn't react to. "Sting!" Captain Blood called out "Yes boss" "Sting i have a new mission for you. A very subtle one" Captain Blood tattled. He could have trust issues with everyone on the planet but not with Sting. He knew he wronged him by sending Rhamort off to another outside mission but he trusted Sting could only huff and grow amuck but still he would always remain loyal to him. Yes, that was Sting for his stringency. "What type of mission is that ?" Sting asked with curiosity prickling. "Muftau. I need you to keep stab on his every moves. It seems to have some bundle of skeletons he is hiding. I need you to dig through his secrecy and give me feedbacks. And if there is any need to exterminate him as a mole then be ready to that as well" "Ok boss. I will do as you say" Sting grunted, gloating inwardly. Muftau had been his bourn foe from onset. He had seen him as someone trying to vie him in other to impress C.B more. Something he detest about him. She was lying on a bed that looked perfectly for a Majesty of whatever Kingdom. Her mouth had been ungag while her hands and legs were unhampered unlike when she was abducted. Mirabel whimpered with patency she already waded to fear. She was not ready to die. No, not yet. She was ready to join the Sagutarys to to save her life from her destined doom. "Your husband. Temi is your doom" "Whatttt! ?" Mirabel squalled in disbelief. No way Temi was going to be her doom. Mirabel was still finding it difficult to opine to what Amid just said but then flashes of the dream she had about Temi exterminating every one of them became fulgent and how he was abducted by some pseud police and of course how he had become reticent and taciturn in the house. Temi never disclosed who abducted him. Perhaps it was symptoms he already accepted his fate. All this signs pointed just at least a pinch of truth from Amid words. . So this is what Temi has been hiding from me ? He is indeed her doom and the only way to stop him is joining the Sagutarys. "Are you ready to join us now and save us all ?" Chapter 12 . . So eliminating Captain Blood was inevitable if he really wanted his freedom. Scads of thought frolic Temi's mind after Muftau made him know that ending C.B life was his gateway to his freedom. An act that meant he would once again consciously be taking a life, something he had vowed not to go back to. But nevertheless, Muftau had made him know how much it worth. After all, C.B was a daemon on earth. A fiend who had lost count of lifes he had taken. Now it was so certain nature would adversely bless anybody that was able to bring him down. And even part from taking him down in acetylating the nature bliss, there was more regnant reason for Temi to kill Captain Blood. Muftau had divulged some some of Captain Blood malign steps in succeeding in transforming Temi into the perfect puppet for his destiny. "There is one other way killing C.B would benefit you apart from you retrieving your freedom from his lies" Muftau had pressed further to convince Temi who felt disinclination at the idea of eliminating C.B. "What is that ?" Temi's attention toted. "You remember the last time you were abducted and brought to the league?" "Yes i do" "Something happened back then" Muftau announced. His face jellied making it unclutter for Temi to read his mind. For he knew something definitely happened after he was tranquilized to unconsciousness. Something he couldn't construe and he had begun to feel it right after he was restored back to consciousness in his home. Some of his dingy secrets he was trying to protect from his wife. He had noticed his trunk had been fighting some corporeal transmutation. While sometimes he felt his nape and limp snapping and sliding through like a lycanthrope in transformation and had always been accompanied by a torturous retentive pain. To make matter worse, series of nightmares had been occurring to buttress all this bodily symptom. Whatever Muftau was about to say now, Temi was sure it has something to do with it. "What did they do to me ?" Temi's squalled, brow squeezed taut in readiness to take the aerosol Muftau was about to drop. "That day after you were tranq down, a spell was carried out on you by C.B" Muftau jawed while Temi's submaxilla refused to close. "Spell ?" So indeed the bestial C.B was trying all he could to the extent of going hoodoo on him just to make him accept the dam destiny. For everything he said could be a bruit to lure him into his peccant mission. "But why him"? "What spell ? What's it meant for ?" "The spell of transition" Muftau said. " And it's a very powerful dark spell created about hundred years ago" "What!" Temi's tautened brow begged for more and more explanation. His worst fear was gliding to reality. For what is worth; he was never going to be a beast! A monster! Never! "The spell of transition is a very puissant spell that was used more than 200 years ago by the Ijebus. It was known the spell was created by a very powerful witch back then. Nevertheless, the existence of the spell was for positive intent even though it carried a very flagitious consequence. The Ijebu had been under a persistence onslaught from a group of looters. This looters had fostered up young men to become a very brawny fighters who went round every other villages to plunder and loot them of their valuable goods. The Ijebus who were so patsy then and being among the victims of this atrocities had always live their lifes in fear. Always in expectant of next onslaught from their captor. This dragged on for close to 15 years before the egress of a solution. A very cogent solution it was. The solution was no other one than the curse; also known as The spell of transition. A powerful female witch created the spell in other to help the Ijebu. The spell worked inform of a curse, and as powerful the curse was then, it chose is bearer. Even as spate of men from the Ijebu poured out to be the carrier of the curse because of the joy of feeling immortal, supernatural and dauntless, the spell didn't work on them. This made everyone them streamed back to disappointment while the witch continued her search for the worthy bearer of the curse. After a very long berried search, she finally found just one man worthy to carry the spell." "What was the person's name ?" Temi mussitated, face smeared by sudor almost forming a cleft on him. He didn't know how but he found himself believing him and every drop of words seeping away from his mouth held something strong. He felt a strong connection to everything Muftau was spilling. Some way and some how his clairvoyance was tapping to him how connected he was to the story. "The person's name was Jare Badejo. But after he had been been bestowed with the curse and already accepted his role as a puppet and messenger to save his people his name was turned to Jahah!" Temi's jaw dropped. It was indeed his destiny. Apart from the nightmare his wife had where he groaned to her in self-plaudit of him being; Jahah- The messenger of the destroyer. Temi was also a descendant of Badejo. This was definitely an happenstance. "So Muftau do you mean the curse has been casted on me and it worked ?" "Yes. Captain Blood requested for the help of a witch who helped him cast the spell on you and it worked on you" Muftau announced wanly driving Temi into state of malaise. This wasn't what he bargained for. All he ever hankered for was an happy life with his family and friends not carrying a bestial curse about answering one dam destiny call. "So what later happened to Jahah" he couldn't help but know what eventually happen to his antecedent. "Well according to Captain Blood, Jahah became so powerful and feared by this people. He eventually carried the curse for more than 8 years and helped fight this looters from attacking the Ijebu with his super-beastly ability before he was brutally murdered. "Mudered! By who ?" "By a woman" Muftau replied. "A woman ? How ??" "The woman Jahah married. While Jahah thought he had successfully exterminated the looters, little did he know that this people only slogged to defunctness for a while to strategize and plant a tactical way to defeat him. In which they successfully did. A vaticination revealed to them that only a weapon could defeat Jahah. And also, the weapon was to be retrieved from a very powerful deity this looters worshipped. So after being retrieved from the deity, there were some sanguineous complications, terms and conditions circumventing the usage of the weapon. First was that; the weapon could not to be wielded by just anybody. Instead it wieldance depended solely on the deity's choice. Then the deity gave them a refractive warning to debar from looting away people's belongings instead he would provide them with enough abundant riches and wealth if only they were ready to go by the task of spilling humans blood for him on every december 25. It was either his lovely wife stakes him eventually according to history or he eliminates her. "But how did you know that?" Muftau sounded garbled. "Because this indeed my destiny. Captain Blood is not lying about me being the doom. As much as i can't accept it I'm still the doom" "But how ? Remember everything i told you now was from Captain Blood and for what i know it could be from his slew of gibberish." "No i don't think so. Everything you said is true" "But how ?" "Lets take it from the rootage. You said the "The spell of Transition" doesn't work on anybody yet it worked on me. Apparently that was because I'm Jahah descendant. Because Jare Badejo was my my mama's ancestors, Eliza Badejo. While the woman that killed Jahah was definiately his wife' ancestors" He explained to Muftau. "So Mirabel and him are arch-enemies. They were destined to destroy each other at end. What a cold bitter ending for them. "There is something else" Muftau riposted. "What's that?" "The spell of transition is meant to give you the the ability to transform into beast. Any form of wild beast you wish to transform to consciously and subconsciously. Beast like panther, wolf leopard or even a monster or an hybrid. And apart from being able to transform, all the cells in your body would be tumesced and they start adopting a beast like nature. Your ability increases. You would become faster and your tympanic start to picking sound from afar even from drop of pin." "But wait i haven't experienced all this you are telling me. Please tell there is still hope for me to spue out this curse from my body? Temi quizzed with enough exigent he could offer to get hope from Muftau. Of course to hell with all of the exotic beasty nature. To hell with the scrivened destiny panting to tear him and his family apart. All he wanted was being with Mirabel, Tony and Tonia and he would do just that. He would go to any length, ready to climb kilimanjaro, ready to cross the pacific and even ready to shuttle heaven and hell just to. have normalcy in his life. "There is hope Temi. You can still have that life you want. You see before the full beasty abilities can be triggered in you, the spell of transition needs to be cast on you two times. And that is exactly 14 days after the first one. Now Temi listen, if you can exceed the 14 days after the first one without the second spell then you are free. All the previous bittie symptoms you said you experience will taper gradually then it eventually evanesce" Muftau explained "Are you sure of this"?" Temi asked while the hefty hope that lingered on his face was palpable. "Yes Temi" Muftau nodded. "And the second thing that is very important is eliminating C.B. You see it's your choice to fulfill your destiny. You can choose to walk away from if you want to. But Captain ? He would not allow that. As long as he lives, you can't have the life you want. Just incase you must know The Destroyer League has seen you as the only man to carry this curse long enough to exterminate the Sagutarys and trust me they would not relent until you do just that. They would not relent to subdue you till you concede. Your only option is killing C.B" " There is no problem" Temi replied. Taking one life at disbursal of saving many is not a bad idea. Moreover, Captain Blood is an evil that needs to taste death. Muftau and Temi talked more on the best way to trammel C.B and have him killed. C.B was insidious and very sly in his operation so napping him necessitate a more subtle movement. To Muftau, luring him out of his saving haven before killing him was the best but Temi had objected to that. Penetrating the league and killing C.B was the best option for him. He maintained that as elusive Captain Blood was he wouldn't succumb to to any distraction that entails leaving his men of valour in the haven while he plodded out to meet his death. And being a professional killer and the fact that he had faced a lot of brutal operation so penetrating the destroyer league to kill C.B was a batam issue. So, the argument on the best tactics dragged on for a long time before something happened in the clubhouse they were. A blared sound captured the atmosphere, and immediately, Temi watched as Muftau slumped down while blood exuded away from him. "They are here. Sting is here." Muftau snivelled in pain as he pointed to where Sting was standing with four fully armed men. "That is for betraying Captain" Sting blurted out "and you" He swerved his head back to where Temi was standing with his hand fully on the trigger of his glock pistol and a face that brandished nothing but death. "Time to complete the spell on you. Or have you forgotten? Today is the fourteenth day. Muftau should have added that to you" Sting stated derisively ignoring the internecine look on Temi. "You know you can use that ? It only you against the four." He gestured toward the glock pistol Temi was holding. "Let see to that" Temi maundered as he pulled the trigger. One reverberating shot rang in the air spawning Sting to slump on the floor with acute pain gnashing him away. "Must you always shoot me" Sting yelled "I don't want to kill you or any body here. But that depends on your corporation. I can't take that spell not today not ever. I can't become the beast you people want me to be. Now, you will tell your dogs to stand down and let me and Muftau walk away. No more scratch on him and no scratch at all on me" Temi said pointing his gun at Sting's forehead. But instead another shot rang in the air and somebody staggered and fell.. To be continued ...
