Hey guys it's been quiet in hear for some time and a long time since I last shared my small works.
So let's let the poetic pen talk.
THE FUTURE IS OURS
The future is ours to sharpen
The power to become what we want to be
To look back in time and exclaim
"The hell of a ride it has been!"
As we sit on the couch sipping
from a cup of coffee
On pages golden our lives to be written
The power within us to control the future
By taking total control of the present
Oh! God help us to make right choices in the long run for man's heart is deceitful
And the life lived is what matters after all flesh is turned to dust
But how will we take total control of the future?
Since the past is gone and lessons learned from it must be kept
The present is all we will ever have
And from the now and here will we stretch our hands to hold firmly the future we believe in
A future sown in happiness and harvested in joy
Full of hope and where dreams come true
Holding hands, we shall shout,"the future in our own hands"
And together we shall rise to greatness.
