HONEYMOON NIGHTMARE episode 10/11
David grew wilder and roared like never before. Real ugly fate stared him in the face and he had to do something as the man in charge of his own home. "Who was on the phone?" Angela asked and least expected the answer to be the rapist. "The rapist, the bastard that has caused us much pain had the guts to call and make mockery of me", he angrily replied. Luckily for him, his mobile phone has an automatic call recording function. lt recorded all voice calls. David forwarded the recorded voice to the police and the phone number but to no avail. The number was not registered and the recorded voice could not be of help either because there were no voice recognition machines in the systems. Angela's pregnancy for the rapist became the bone of contention between her and the husband. She refused to abort the pregnancy because she believed it was murder of an innocent baby and the Bible was really against bloodshed. When matters grew worst, she involved the officiating ministers that blessed the marriage and the counselors and they counseled them about handing marital shocks and crisis. Finally, David heeded to the counsel of the reverend ministers but easily angered when he saw his wife's ever protruding belly. This reduced his love for Angela. The later agreement was that Angela may find someone outside their home to nurse the child for a fee if David had not recovered from the trauma and seeing the child in the house could remind him of much pain and even abuse the child.
*After nine months of real torture, trauma, pain, rejection, not receiving the necessary love, support and care from the husband, Angela finally was delivered of a child. David was in the house at the time shd was in labour so he drove her to the hospital. "Congratulation, Mr. Owusu", the doctor said to him when he came out from the delivery ward. "For what?" David rudely asked. "Your wife has given you a very handsome and bouncy baby boy", he continued with all smile but David was still cold. "Oh okay. Is she alright?" he asked. "Sure, she is. Your wife is a strong and healthy lady, you know", the doctor replied. "Are you not happy for your wife and first born?"
"Oh sure! l'm very happy that my wife is okay", he quickly replied and let out a fake smile as if all was alright.
The baby was neatly washed, clothed and brought to Angela. They were discharged on that same day. On arrival at home, David called the nanny employed to take care of Angela and the bastard's child. In the everning, the nanny tried to bath the baby and what met Angela's eyes threw her into dismay.

There was a big black mark of a scorpion under the right arm of the child. That mark reminded Angela of something. "I know this mark!" she exclaimed and examined the baby well. "Oh, i see. So it was Akwasi Amoako that did this evil thing to me", she said and nodded her head like an agama lizard. Angela had lived with Akwasi Amoako for ten years as a lover and really knew him. He had that mark of a scorpion under his right arm. His father told him that the mark ran through the family's bloodline. It was scorpion that saved them during the days of war in pre-independence days in Ghana. The scorpion was the only spiritual god that turned into several scorpions and bit their enemies during the war. All their enemies died and they won the battle.The mark of a scorpion under the right arm was a special tattoo all the men in those times did. The spirit of the gods entered the men and all descendants with that bloodline had the mark. How could Angela reveal this secret to her husband and cause the arrest of Akwasi Amoako. She had already lied to him that he was her uncle. She never told him how she painfully jilted him and in turn punished them on their first honeymoon night. Angela wanted to confess to him and to cause the arrest of her ex but she feared the aftermath. Her husband could do anything stupid at all that would end the marriage on rocks now that he had become a wounded lion. One day, Angela could not sleep in the night. Her past memories tormented her. She realized that she had really caused much pain to two men in her life. Everything showed that she was loosing both men. She went to her husband and in full tears confessed her secret ordeal and pleaded for forgiverness. "We all do falter in many ways and at times fear to be responsible for our own mistake", David commenced after he had listened to the long story. "All i can do is to forgive you. "I'm not God to punish you for sinning....." Angela rose up with confidence, knelth down before her husband and thanked him when she heard his kind words. "The last thing i would say is that, i cannot live with a woman who has done this to my fellow man", David dropped the bombshell.
