This day will I forget not in a hurry
For the blood of the Innocent youth we're slain
This day will I forget not in a hurry
For blood are we given to drink as water

This day will I forget not in a hurry
For the hen has killed the chicks she was meant to protect
This day will I forget not in a hurry
For it marks the begining of something the eyes can not see
And the mouth can not tell

This day will I forget not in a hurry
For I see blood flowing on the street of Lagos like rivers of water
This day will I forget not in a hurry
For truly the world is coming to an end
This day will I forget not in a hurry
For the tears of many hve turned to blood

This day will I forget not in a hurry
For my tong has counted my teeth
And my eyes has seen my anus
This day will I forget not in a hurry
For the life of our Leaders of tomorrow are being wasted in their own country

If we are all killed for a crime we did not commit
Then who will be the leaders of tomorrow
When we all die?

Weapons we took not
Only our legs, placards, banners, and our voices
Yet we were brutally massacred
Like chickens

I dare not cry
Cus my eyes has seen nothing yet
This is just the beginning
The beginning of what I dare not say

The beginning of sunset at noon

This day october, 20 will forever leave in my heart
I will tell it to my children children
