Episode 1 My name is Ugonna,i’m 11 years old and will be 12 soon.I’m in SS1 and i school in a well known school in my hometown.You guys might be wondering what a kid at my age will be doing in ss1,well thats it,i’m intelligent i guess,i got promoted thrice in my primary school days,but it didn’t make me relent on my studies as i was coping well in school always being the best student in class. I got transferred to a new school from my previous school.To describe myself, i would say i’m of average height for a kid of my age,chocolate in complexion,not too ugly nor handsome at all.I’m the first child of my parents.My family is made up of seven,my parents,me and my four siblings.But though now my father stays no more,so me and my siblings are left with my mom alone.My mom is a teacher who teaches in a government school. So back to the story.I got transferred to this school in Owerri,where i had to stayfor three years,write my WAEC exams then graduate.It was good to be going to a new environment because being transferred from my previous school meant that i had to go to a new environment so therefore i had to stay with my mother’s mother that is my grandmother,who is a retired nurse that stays in Owerri(although she’s late now,may her soul rest in perfect peace). I was excited that i was going to stay with my grandmother because i had always seen her as my favourite and i fondly called her Nma.She was a disciplinarian,a jovial,meek and compassionate woman.As a kid growing i always saw her as my guardian angel. Preparations began,i was happy i was going to stay with my grandmother at last,but a little bit sad cos i was gonna miss my mom and siblings,the journey from my hometown to Owerri was not that interesting as it took only about 40 minutes to get to my grandmother’s house.My grandmother allocated a room to me. Hahaha i’m 11 but i sometimes think,behave and act like an adult.A room to myself,No big deal about it.I arranged my stuffs,took my bath and ate porridge yam garnished with lots of fish and livestock which was Prepared by my grandmother.It was really delicious. I and my grandmother chatted for sometime before we prayed and went to bed.I can’t wait for next tomorrow that is monday.I had a dream were i was already in the school.
