Good news for Infinix Note 4 users as Infinix Mobility has finally rolled out an Android 8 Oreo OS update for the device.

On a plus note, not just the Infinix Note 4 got the update, other Infinix smartphones like the Infinix Note 4 Pro and Infinix Zero 5 also got it. Infinix Note 4 however, is the first to flex this new OS.

I will be exploring and teaching you how to update your Infinix Note 4 (X572) device to Android 8 Oreo.

Based on experience, it is important to note that updates usually come with bugs, which of course are fixed by future updates specially designed to fix the bug problems.

I even believe some infinix note 4 users have already updated their devices while some others, based on the fear of potential bugs are afraid of updating theirs. Others probably do not know how to update theirs. I will explicitly address this issues by showing the advantages and disadvantages of updating your smartphone, and of course the step by step instructions to update it.

If you are afraid potential bugs on the update, worry no more because Infinix Mobility has announced they will work effectively to push more updates frequently that will fix this bug issues.

ADVANTAGES OF UPDATING YOUR ANDROID OPERATING SYSTEM
Improved security features
Improvements in Malware Attacks
Better apps compatibility
Addition of new features
And much more
DISADVANTAGES OF UPDATING YOUR ANDROID OPERATING SYSTEM
The only disadvantage I see here is the potential bugs that come with the update, nothing else. Fortunately, Infinix promised those bugs will be fixed with future updates.

REQUIREMENTS BEFORE UPDATING
Unroot your phone if it's rooted to avoid bricking it. Meanwhile, who still roots phone in 2018?
You may need to backup your current firmware. This will be helpful if you later decide to downgrade to previous version for any reason
Charge your phone to at least 90% because if your phone trips off during the process of upgrading, it could brick it.
You need upto 2GB to download the update. This means data subscription is necessary here.
Once you have all of those requirements in place, proceed to the instructions below to upgrade your Infinix Note 4 to Android 8.0 Oreo operating system.
