ActionAid Nigeria (AAN) is a not for profit, non-governmental entity registered with the Nigeria Corporate Affairs Commission. It commenced operations in Nigeria in 1999, while the programmatic operations commenced in January 2000 through a Country Agreement signed with the National Planning Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Job Title: Treasury Advisor
Job Location: Abuja
Job Description:
The post holder will be contributing to maintaining adequate financial integrity in supporting quality and timely data input for generation of financial reports, review and analyze accounting ledgers.
Contribute to strengthening the internal control and accounting systems of ActionAid Nigeria (AAN) and partner organizations as may be assigned.
This will require flexibility, creativity, innovativeness and initiative to enhance efficiency while staying within both the financial and legal framework.
Required Qualifications/Compitencies:
Degree in Accounting or Finance.
ICAN PE I certified.
At least five (5) years post NYSC experience, three (3) of which should have been spent in a finance position.
Experience in implementing financial control systems
Sound Practical Knowledge of an accounting software and Spreadsheets.
Development sector experience as a finance person.
Knowledge of the SUN Software is an added advantage.
Ability to work well with minimum supervision
Ability to interface effectively with other members of staff and solve problems using own initiative.
Ability to work under pressure
Specific Responsibilities:
Data input into SUN Accounting system and processing of cash and bank payment vouchers.
Daily Treasury report on all bank accounts and monitor balances for Management Decision.
Document, Control and Secure Accounting Records.
Monitoring of bank accounts Including Investment account, Review and Reconciliation of Staff Gratuity Bank Accounts.
Investigate follow up and clear all reconciling items.
Maintenance of Petty cash (GBP, USD, NGN) Payment and Ledger Reconciliation.
Preparation of Country Director Expenditure for quarterly report to West and Central Africa (WACA).
Liaise with banks on all banking operations.
Preparation of monthly schedules of statutory deductions for remittance.
Receipt of cash and cheque payment to AAN and issuance of bank payment receipt and posting of same into SUN.
Any other duties as assigned by the Head of Finance.
